T-60 power armor is a set of power armor appearing in Fallout 4.
Background[]
Developed in early 2077 after the Anchorage Reclamation, the T-60 series of power armor was designed to eventually replace the T-51 as the pinnacle of powered armor technology in the U.S. military arsenal. The T-60 was deployed domestically among U.S. Army units just prior to the dropping of the bombs.[1]
As of 2287, the Brotherhood of Steel East Coast Chapter has acquired a vast arsenal of T-60 power armor, as it has become their standard issue power armor, being commonly worn by both knights and paladins.
Characteristics[]
This variation of power armor is much larger and bulkier than previous models, closer to the appearance of classic Fallout power armor. The set looks similar to the T-45 power armor, but with a few minor differences. The shoulders of the T-60 are composite, double layered and shorter than its T-45d predecessor.
The T-45d shoulder plates are almost twice as long and are only a single piece of metal. The opening valve on the T-60 set is lower on the suit, larger and has a slot for a fusion core. The breastplate on the T-60 has two vertical handlebars, while the T-45d has a single horizontal handlebar.
As with all power armor in the Commonwealth, a power armor frame is required to mount T-60 power armor, and spawned pieces can vary from A to F models.

Variants[]
- Tesla T-60 armor - unique set of T-60 torso, left arm and right arm; requires the Automatron add-on.
- Visionary's T-60c helmet - unique T-60 helmet.
- Exemplar's T-60c - unique T-60 torso.
- Honor - unique T-60 left leg.
- Vengeance - unique T-60 right leg.
Combining all these pieces makes T-60 power armor not only the power armor class with the most unique components by far, but also the only one in the game that can be completely assembled from unique parts.
Locations[]
Within this section is a list of scripted locations.
- Four T-60b suits can be found on The Prydwen, though in order to obtain one, the Sole Survivor must join the Brotherhood of Steel and the others are obtained by stealing; however, they can be obtained by using without stealing via the power armor station - unequipping parts in the workbench menu will mark them as unowned in the station's inventory.
- Pieces can be bought from Rowdy at the Atom Cats garage with their custom paint job.
- Paladin Danse's personal T-60d power armor (with a Brotherhood paladin paint mod) is rewarded to the player character upon completing Blind Betrayal.
- One suit can be looted from the body of Elder Maxson in the quest Airship Down. This suit has a unique BOS elder paint mod and is pre-upgraded to BOS VII T-60f.
- A T-60b suit can be looted from the body of Knight-Sergeant Gavil after Rockets' Red Glare. This suit also has a unique BoS III knight sergeant paint only found from him. He is found at the same place the Sole Survivor first met him, at the airport depot, lying near his terminal.
- One can purchase a full suit on the Prydwen from Proctor Teagan.
- Through various quests with the Brotherhood of Steel, it is possible to earn pieces of unique T-60 armor with extra effects and slightly boosted effects. Honor and Vengeance can be bought from Teagan after each increase in rank (one with promotion to a paladin, and another with promotion to sentinel). Additionally Exemplar's T-60c and Visionary's T-60c helm can be earned as quest rewards.
- Clint at Quincy ruins wears a T-60 torso.
- The rogue knight also wears a full T-60b suit minus the helm.
- A Gunner commander on the Bradberton Overpass wears a T-60 torso piece.
- Full suits are normally worn by Brotherhood of Steel soldiers. They can be obtained by looting them from the corpses of these troops if they were killed in the line of duty. Looting the pieces will not affect one's relationship with the Brotherhood.
Notes[]
- According to loading screens in Fallout 4, T-60 power armor was the last model of power armor produced by the U.S. military and distributed to American troops. It entered service after the Battle of Anchorage, and was deployed within the U.S. alongside T-51 models to maintain order in the final days leading to the Great War.
- The Brotherhood knight and paladin paint schemes are tied to specific quests and can be unlocked without antagonizing other factions. The sentinel paint scheme requires the player character finishes the game in favor of the Brotherhood, however. The command set BoSPaintJobSentinel to 1 will unlock the sentinel paint scheme irrespective of selected ending.
- Finishing the main questline for the Institute is the only official way of acquiring Arthur Maxson's unique elder power armor. As this paint scheme is not supposed to be crafted by the player character, it is coded as a dedicated set of T-60f power armor pieces instead. PC players who failed to loot the armor during Airship Down or led another faction to victory can add it to their inventory with the command player.additem 197994.
- The Atom Cats sell their very own distinctive Hot Rod-style paint scheme at their garage once the Sole Survivor has earned their respect. Like the BOS paints, this scheme is unique to the T-60. Contrary to all other paint jobs, it offers two bonuses at once: increased Charisma and decreased Action Point cost for sprinting.
- There is a thick yellow pipe on the back of the suit that says "Radiation If Damaged" in faded writing, indicating it may be part of the suit's internal radiation scrubbers.
- Brotherhood of Steel members will only be spotted using the knight paint scheme, regardless of rank, but with some exceptions of some of the named members of the BoS, such as Brandis, Gavil and Knight-Captain Larsen. Paladin Danse is also an exception as he is one of three members to utilize a paint scheme that matches their rank within the Brotherhood.
Behind the scenes[]
The T-60 power armor was the first asset created for Fallout 4, back in 2008, although it went through multiple iterations over the years.[2] It was primarily designed by Istvan Pely.[3]
Bugs[]
- This bug only affects the T-60b arms as it is specific to that mod.
T-60 arms increase AP regeneration rate. Normally, it takes 16 seconds to fully recharge the AP bar (100 action points in this case). With one T-60 arm equipped, it takes 13 seconds. With both T-60 arms equipped, it takes 10 seconds. The bug persists on different power armor frames, with or without other armor pieces. When inspecting the T-60 arms in the Pip-Boy, they show a fourth modification that players can't access via the modification screen.[已验证]
- When the player commands a companion (Cait in this case) to don a suit of T-60F power armor with a targeting modification to the helmet, the player acquires the helmet targeting visuals (certain objects/potential targets/NPCs are highlighted red) even if the player is not wearing power armor. The targeting visuals apparently persist until the companion removes the helmet, even if the companion has been dismissed as a follower but is still wearing the helmet. It is unknown if this situation will give rise to the bugs associated with wearing targeting helmets during some quests. It is also unknown if this bug also applies to other types of power armor.[已验证]
