Like other makeshift firearms, pipe bolt-action weapons are easily acquired and are commonly carried by settlers and low-level enemies, such as raiders, in early parts of the game.
Compared to the basic pipe gun , the bolt-action variant improves its accuracy at medium to long range.

While the long finned barrel modification makes it so shot spread does not increase while firing, the pipe bolt-action does not benefit from this for subsequent shots due to how slowly the weapon fires.

Has platform::PC Using VATS while cycling or reloading will reinitialize loading sequence, making it virtually impossible to fire while under 6 cartridges, for the character will try to reload instead of firing.
