"Chicken" is the name of an egg-laying deathclaw in a shack near Rose's Bed and Breakfast in Modoc.
Background
This deathclaw is being held captive with the purpose of providing eggs as an ingredient for Rose's famous wasteland omelet.

Notes
- The deathclaw's killing is referenced in Fallout: New Vegas by Rose's great niece, Jas Wilkins. She taught her the recipe for her omelets, but "until some stranger came along and killed the deathclaw."
- The game file Party.txt refers to the "chicken" as a companion.
