United States Pacific Fleet was a United States Navy theater-level command responsible for operations in the Pacific Ocean. On October 23, 2077, the Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet (COMPACFLT in DEFCON status reports) reported three Unidentified Submerged Objects (USOs), likely Chinese nuclear submarines, massing for a first strike off the coast of California.[1]
