A friend with deep pockets is a friend indeed! Welcome to my shop!

According to Uncle Roe, Wolfgang is just "like that," referring to how his sales methods and madman persona draw in customers. In particular, Wolfgang considers his use of the words junk, garbage,[9] and other such terms to describe his wares to be a very successful marketing ploy, especially when he uses "junk"-related sexual innuendo to capture customers' attention.[2][10][11] If the Lone Wanderer fully invests in Wolfgang's caravan, he will be grateful for their contributions and thank them by gifting them a set of Stealth Boys.[11]

Notes[]

  • The script notes for Crazy Wolfgang's dialogue compare him to a "carnival huckster"[7] and reference his gleeful indulgence in "junk"-related innuendo during his sales pitches.[11]

    "Crazy Wolfgang:
Wolfgang might act insane, but he only plays the madman for sales. His inventory is mostly random junk, making him useful for finding custom-weapon components or just cashing in gear for caps."
