Fauna (ie animals) refer to the various types of creatures found throughout the Fallout series. Because of both massive amounts of radioactive fallout and latent exposure to weaponized and/or accidental mutagens, fauna across the former United States have mutated rapidly. While mutated forms of animal life are prevalent, various "normal" animals still exist. Both mutated and non-mutated fauna continue to to be used for nutrition, medicine, clothing and armor.
