In the buildup to the Great War, food and luxuries became increasingly scarce, including fine wines. Those who wanted or could even afford wine, such as the president of the United States, were left with an unpopular Chateau Montrose 2043.
In January 2077, the Capitol Post quoted White House spokesman Warren Eccleston calling it a "detestable" vintage.[1]
