欧洲联邦（英文：European Commonwealth）是在大战之前存在的欧洲主权国家的政治联盟。

2052年，欧洲严重依赖从石油储量丰富的中东国家进口石油，并以军事行动应对迅速上涨的石油价格，这损害了其经济，引发了可怕的全球冲突，后来的历史学家把这些冲突统称为资源战争。[Non-game 1] 中东地区有限的核冲突加剧了全球恐慌。[Non-game 1]尽管人们希望联合国能够解决中东国家和欧洲联邦之间的冲突，但战争仍在继续，联合国在7月前解散了。[1]
当2060年欧洲联邦-中东战争结束时，随着许多国家退出联邦，联邦开始解体。[2] 随之而来的是一场漫长的内战。
