棘刺城是位於新維加斯西區南部大門的地下定居點。牌子上的箭頭指向下水道口，也就是棘刺城的入口。棘刺城的主要賣點來自於競技場，你可以參與賭博，甚至可以親自參加到決鬥中來。凌晨1:00至6:00棘刺城不對外開放。

布局[]

棘刺城的主體是一座巨大的競技場，四周環繞著供警衛以及觀眾行走的懸空通道。競技場旁的籠子里關著瑞德•露西飼養的各種廢土生物。

如果願意的話，你可以通過與瑞德•露西交談來開始自定義決鬥；生物的種類和數目可以自行選擇。由於廢土生物的飼養開支過高，你需要對決鬥付費。如果賭贏了，就可以要回自己的瓶蓋，還能獲得很小的一筆獎金。要開始戰鬥，只需對瑞德•露西說「跟我說說棘刺城」，隨後選擇「下一場誰和誰干？」。

你也可以告訴瑞德•露西，你想要親自參加一場決鬥。可以對抗的生物有：火蜥蜴，巨型螳螂，輻射蠍，夜梟，大毒蜂，以及死亡爪。選擇好生物的種類和數目之後，屏幕會漸暗，主角也會被移動至競技場籠中。獎金的數目取決於對決生物的種類和數量。玩家可以面對的最強對手是3隻死亡爪。若希望在競技場內與更強的生物決鬥，需要提前送來此種生物的卵。

  • The cage areas of the Thorn may be used to gain XP, by shooting the imprisoned animals through the cage doors. Although you will not be able to loot their bodies, you risk nothing in the fights. It's basically a shooting range - all you lose is your ammunition.
