A tool is a miscellaneous item in Fallout and Fallout 2.
Characteristics[]
A super tool set, containing various useful tools, including pliers. Its user gains a 20% bonus to Repair when the item is used.
Uses[]
Tools are worth a lot of money if sold to the right people, and they are quite common. Valerie can be given a set of tools and a wrench in exchange for a super tool kit one day later.

- If Repair is tagged, the Vault Dweller will have one of these at the start.
- Mitch in the Hub's General Store has one.
- Doc Morbid has one on his person.
- One in the Hall of the Dead in Necropolis, in the desk in a room to the west when using the main entrance.
Fallout Demo[]
In the Fallout Demo, the item is called wire cutters[1] (in possession of Skippy) and can be used to disable Scrapheap's power generator. The two gangs then leave town and the demo ends.
Fallout 2[]
- Next to the destroyed Mister Handy in Klamath's Rat Caves.
- Inside a locker in Smitty's shack in the Den.
- On a shelf in Skeeter's workshop in Gecko.
- In a locker on second floor in Vault 8.
- The Professor in Broken Hills has one in his inventory.
- Hoss carries this.
