获得天网需要获选者的几件物品来激活将成为天网的身体（见主要文章）。假如有空间，天网将被招募为同伴。
能力[]
与机械化大脑一起安装时，天网精通大型手枪（14毫米和.223手枪）、冲锋枪、步枪和霰弹枪。至关重要的是，这意味着它可以使用M72高斯步枪并且每回合发射两发子弹。天网在近战中也可以用它的武器进行攻击，并且可以使用肉搏武器，例如Mega动力拳套，具有致命的效率。
