國家廣場在《輻射3》里是一個露天型國家公園。其原型為華盛頓特區真實存在的國家廣場。當然遊戲那個更小一些，而且旁邊的建築布局也有所不同。

背景

國家廣場現在已經滿目瘡痍，變成了戰區，大量的超級變種人盤踞在此。變種人把公園變成了戰壕，到處都是他們建的用於防禦的圍欄，沙包。想要通過這裡會遇到激烈的戰鬥，所以說從中心區地底下的地鐵通過這裡比較安全。.

布局

兄弟會士兵把守在廣場最中央的華盛頓紀念碑周圍，鷹爪集團僱傭兵在西面的國會大廈里與變種人激烈的戰鬥。

華盛頓紀念碑和林肯紀念堂之間可以找到反射池，裡面充滿了大量汽車殘片和購物手推車。這裡的輻射量很強，接近池塘水幾英尺外都會受到輻射。

廣場連接遊戲里許多重要建築的通道。正是如此，這裡變成了變種人的第二聚集地，最大聚集地為87號避難所。It is generally believed that the Super Mutants are looking for more FEV to use to reproduce. They are apparently attracted by the radiated reflecting pool behind the Washington Monument or are hoping to find some in any of the old museums or the Capitol Building.

註釋

• 中心區大部分的變種人都不會刷新，所以可以把這裡變得相對乾淨些。
  • 高難度下，變種人頭領和變種人凶獸仍會刷新，並且持有輪轉機槍和導彈發射器。
• 對於冒險者來說，這裡是檢輪轉機槍和動力裝甲的好地方。
