Almost Perfect is a perk in the Fallout 3 add-on Broken Steel.
Description[]
This perk instantly raises all SPECIAL attributes to 9, but will not lower attributes which are already at 10. If the bobblehead for an attribute has been collected before taking this perk and the attribute is below 10, then it becomes impossible to raise it to 10 by normal means. On the other hand, if the bobblehead is collected after taking this perk, then the attribute will be raised to 10.
- Lucky 8-ball
If the lucky 8-ball is in one's inventory upon taking this perk, then their Luck will be reduced to 8 when the ball is dropped. If one plans on getting this perk after finding the lucky 8-ball, then it needs to be removed from their inventory beforehand.
Notes[]
- If seeking to acquire perfect S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats, it is advised not to acquire the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. bobbleheads until raising those stats to 9.
- Workarounds exist for some bobbleheads, such as the Luck bobblehead, which can be taken early if picking up the lucky 8-ball after taking the perk. One of the Strength or Perception bobbleheads can also be taken by instead completing the Those! quest accordingly for the Ant Might or Ant Sight perks.
- Any S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat that is already at 9 can be raised prior to receiving this perk without risk. This is especially handy if intending to destroy Megaton in order to obtain the Strength bobblehead.
- With this perk and enough skill books or high Intelligence, it is possible to obtain perfect stats.
- As with any other S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat increase, all derived skills will increase accordingly, potentially by 20+ points.
Bugs[]
If one has the lucky 8-ball in their inventory when taking this perk, it may disappear. [已验证]
