The Sierra Nevadas are a mountain range in New California, with the eastern section being occupied by the New California Republic.[1]

Background[]

The Sierra Nevadas cut through California, and still grow massive sequoias even after the Great War.[2] In the early months of their trek across the country to reestablish contact with the Appalachian chapter of the Brotherhood of Steel, the Brotherhood First Expeditionary Force encountered a group of raiders who had captured Brotherhood members within the mountain range. Matthew Thornberry rescued them from torture, and left the expeditionary force to escort the rescued members back to Lost Hills.[3]

After warring against the Brotherhood of Steel, many of the surviving Vipers fled into these mountains and beyond,[Non-game 1] into the Mojave Wasteland where they would remain a threat for decades to come.[4]

Decades later, raiders still remained an issue in the region, and so in order to bring peace the NCR would use Owen's Lake as a staging ground to drive out all the raider tribes on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas.[1]

Notes[]

The Ranger Sequoia is named after the sequoias in the Sierra Nevada.[需要引证]

Appearances[]

The Sierra Nevada range appears in Fallout and Fallout 2. It is mentioned in Fallout: New Vegas and in Fallout 76, introduced in the Steel Dawn update.

The Paladins, now led by Rhombus, began a full scale campaign against the Vipers, tracking them down and wiping out almost all of their members within the span of a month.
