Yuma was a pre-War military base in the former American state of Arizona. It is a mentioned-only location in Fallout: New Vegas.
Background[]
Sometime before 2281, the independent merchant Dale Barton salvaged a howitzer from an old U.S. military base and sold it to Caesar's Legion. According to Lucius, the military base in question was Yuma.[1] The Legion installed the howitzer in their main camp on Fortification Hill, intending to use it against the NCR's rear forces during the impending Second Battle of Hoover Dam.[2]
Appearances[]
Yuma is mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.
Behind the scenes[]
Lucius only mentions Yuma in the context of it being a military base.[1] In the real world, this could refer to any one of several military sites located near the city of Yuma, Arizona. These include the Yuma Proving Ground and Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, both of which have existed since before World War II.
