The Xian-85 fighter is mentioned only in Fallout: New Vegas.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
"Xian" may be a reference of the real-life XAC, Xi'an Aircraft Industrial Corporation, a major Chinese military and civilian aircraft manufacturer. In our timeline, XAC specializes in the design and manufacture of bombers and transport planes, but not fighters, and is a major certified part supplier of American aircraft conglomerate Boeing, who outsources production of parts such as vertical tails to XAC's Yanliang factory.
