Xander root is a miscellaneous and/or consumable item in Fallout 2, Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel.
Background[]
A rare root with healing properties, which produces a potent curative when mixed with broc flower as base.[1][2][3] With the right processing, the same mixture can produce a stimpak, with superior healing properties and none of the drawbacks.[4]
The root grows in the western United States and is a vital ingredient in treatments among survivalists[5] and in low-tech communities on the Pacific Coast, such as the nomads[6] and fishermen worshiping the Goddess of the Sea.[7][8] Further inland, the Sorrows use xander root to produce healing powder,[9] and it is also the primary (and frequently only) healing item available to legionaries of the Legion.[10][11]

Xander root[]
Xander root is a large, turnip-like root with mild healing properties. It can easily be identified by its exposed head and tall green stalk protruding from a raised ring of dirt, resembling an onion. It can be used in the crafting of both healing powder and stimpaks.
