The wreck of the USS Riptide is a location in the Fens neighborhood of Boston in 2287.
Background[]
The Riptide was a commissioned tug boat of the U.S. Navy,[Non-game 1] last used to tow military equipment up the Charles River.[Non-game 1]
Layout[]
This vessel is accessible from a series of makeshift staircases from an overhead bridge, or by swimming up to it through the irradiated river. The cabins remain accessible, with the deck consisting of a cooking station surrounded by slaughtered dolphish.
Notable loot[]
- The Wasteland Survival Guide issue #1 is contained within the captain's cabin, on a table with a lantern and some jet
- A Mini nuke lying in some rubble on the deck level of the tugboat, at the portside bow
- Randomly generated raider power armor which can be looted from one of the raiders in the immediate area

- If the raiders at this location have not been dealt with before starting the quest Diamond City Blues, there is a chance that they will pick a fight with Trish, her Triggermen bodyguards, and Nelson Latimer.
