The Wilds are a vast stretch of New California retaken by nature, distinguished by its dense woods, punctuated by overgrown urbanized areas, and a significant amount of extremely dangerous mutated wildlife. The Wilds are a massive area, and during the manhunt for Siggi Wilzig, Quintus assigns five of the six Vertibirds delivered by the Prydwen to aid the knights and their squires in combing the area to find the Enclave defector.[1]
Wilzig has crossed through the Wilds during his flight from the Enclave research colony, narrowly avoiding an encounter with a yao guai. The same bear later killed Knight Titus, with Maximus taking his armor and pursuing Wilzig, as the Enclave defector failed to cover up his tracks properly.[2]
Appearances[]
The Wilds appear only in the Fallout TV series.
Behind the scenes[]
The establishing shot of the Wilds (visible in the infobox) includes a foreground that is strikingly similar to Pripyat's Lenin Square, including the square itself, Palace of Culture Energetik, and the Polissya Pripyat hotel. Pripyat and the square are featured in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, an iconic post-apocalyptic game.
