Some just get sick and die. Others go crazy, completely psycho. They live out in the city. We call 'em "Wildmen".Wernher

Wildmen are hostile people encountered in the Pitt in 2277. They can be found around the Pitt bridge and the steelyard.

Background[]

Wildmen are inhabitants of the Pitt that have suffered neurological damage after being exposed to the infected water and poisoned sky, but have not turned into trogs. They started being more hostile, violent, and short-tempered. Their emotions became out of control and their actions often teetered on primal instinct.[1][Non-game 1]

In Sandra's terminal, she explains that wildmen suffer from a psychological condition caused by Troglodyte Degeneration Contagion, and that approximately 20 percent of people infected with TDC will degenerate further into trogs.[2]

Wernher: "It's hard to describe. It's nasty. And it affects everyone a little differently. But the longer you're there, the more it gets you. Some just get sick and die. Others go crazy, completely psycho. They live out in the city. We call 'em "Wildmen". And the worst... well... just hope you never have to see 'em. They turn into animals. They forget who they are. They just eat, sleep, fuck, and kill."
