The Western Bell vessel is an unmarked location in the Commonwealth in 2287. The vessel is beached on a river shore northwest of Breakheart Banks.

Background[]

The MV Western Bell is a relatively small sea vessel that has been beached following the Great War. Its vessel seems to be a commercial fishing boat that was propelled by conventional means. At some point, the vessel sent a mayday signal that can still be picked up by the Sole Survivor, describing the vessel needing immediate assistance, due to lack of power and very rough seas. Without a response, the individual sending the message exclaims out loud their confusion on where everyone is.[1]

Layout[]

The interior of the boat consists of a single tiny cabin. On a small metal shelf, a ham radio broadcasts the nautical radio signal. On the floor of the cabin, in front of the shelf, is a Novice-locked cooler containing minor loot. The cabin also contains a coffee cup on the table, a yardstick next to the boarded window, and a sea captain's hat, fishing rod, metal bucket, cotton yarn and a small patch of glowing fungus on the flooded floor.

Appearances[]

The Western Bell vessel appears only in Fallout 4.
