Daily: Waste Not is a daily quest in Fallout 76.
Quick walkthrough[]
- Inside the northeasternmost of the buildings at the Red Rocket Mega Stop, find and use maintenance terminal and select "ALERTS".
- Find three Red Rocket protectron robots, kill them and take Red Rocket cores.
- Return to Red Rocket Mega Stop and deposit the cores.
Detailed walkthrough[]
When player characters first reach the Red Rocket Mega Stop, a miscellaneous objective points them to a nearby building on the northwest side of the stop. Inside, alongside a stash box, tinker's workbench, and power armor station, an automated message is playing regarding Protectrons that work at the truck stop having wandered off and that their cores need to be recovered and recycled. Upon reading the terminal entry marked "ALERTS", an area is circled on the map where the Red Rocket Protectrons can be found, usually just northeast of the truck stop and north of Freddy Fear's House of Scares.
Protectrons in the area will initially be passive, but once they see the player characters, they will turn hostile and open fire. Destroy them and loot the Red Rocket cores. Once three have been collected from the rogue Red Rocket Protectrons, return to the Mega Stop and place them in the recycle bin next to the terminal to complete the quest and receive the rewards for completing it. After completing it the first time, repeated performances only need to locate the Protectrons, destroy them, and recover the Red Rocket cores to return to the recycle bin at the Mega Stop for the usual daily quest rewards.
