Walking Box Cavern is a location in the Mojave Wasteland.
Layout
Exterior
A group of 7 night stalkers spawns at the mouth of the cave, which contains some bones from previous preys. A hollowed-out rock can be found straight ahead when facing away from the cave entrance.
Interior
The inside is a relatively small cave filled with purple fungus. In the middle, a duffle bag can be found between remains of earlier victims. The cavern's main corridor branches to a north room that is filled with four night stalkers. The western room contains five night stalkers and a high level loot duffle bag.
Notable loot
- A duffle bag in the western cave contains combat armor, reinforced or a sawed-off shotgun.
- A Night stalker egg clutch containing 6 night stalker eggs, in the western cave room.
Appearances
Walking Box Cavern appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
Behind the scenes
Walking Box Cavern is named after the nearby Walking Box Ranch.
Bugs
Companions (confirmed with ED-E and Veronica) can "disappear" while in the cave. You will still get their perks, but will not be able to see them or talk to them. Using the map to travel to a marker (even to Walking Box Cavern) seems to fix the problem.[verified]- The western cave contains a large square texture that has a darker brown color compared to the surrounding area.
