A walkie-talkie is a miscellaneous item in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Honest Hearts.
Characteristics
It has the appearance of a United States Armed Forces handheld radio set, similar to those used by civilians for recreational uses.
Locations
Two can be found at the Zion fishing lodge, behind the bar counter in the cabinet.
Notes
- If the Courier does not have a high enough Lockpick skill, the key to the cabinet can be found inside the crate in the restroom, on the other side of the wall. This key will not spawn if the quest Gone Fishin' has not been started.
- After collecting the walkie-talkies, Follows-Chalk will comment periodically about them being more useful than smoke and signal drums.
- They are quest items, and as such can only be removed when given to Daniel.
Behind the scenes
The walkie-talkie appears to have been based off the SCR-536, which was used extensively by American forces during World War II.
