The Vulcan power armor is a set of power armor in Fallout 76, introduced in the Gleaming Depths update.
Background[]
The armor is worn by the remnants of Enclave Squad Epsilon when encountered in Stage 3 of Raid: Gleaming Depths.
Characteristics[]
Visually, it has a heavy resemblance to the Atomic Shop Equalizer power armor paint.[1] Differences between the two include this power armor being painted in black with yellow accents and bearing the emblem of the Enclave on the chest as well as being covered in Ultracite crystals.
When worn as a full set, it provides a 25% bonus to fusion core duration and a 25% increase to the AP refresh rate multiplier.
At 600 Energy Resistance, Vulcan power armor has the highest Energy Resistance of any suit of power armor in the game, and the second highest ballistic damage resistance at 560 behind T-65 power armor, barring the increase that Hellcat power armor gives. However, Vulcan power armor also has the lowest Radiation Resistance of any power armor in the game, at 200.

Behind the scenes[]
In episode 5 of LoneVaultRadio, Jonathan Rush claims that Frank Horrigan is referenced three times by the presence of the Enclave Squad Epsilon soldiers, "wearing similar power armor that perhaps was a prototype", due to a perception of creative freedom to explore existing lore, as well as "making our own [lore]".[2]
