"Metallic Monks"
Keeps to himself, mostly. You want to know more about him, you'll have to ask him yourself. He has a shack on the southern edge of town.Doc Mitchell when asked about Victor

Victor's shack is an unmarked location within Goodsprings in the Mojave Wasteland in Fallout: New Vegas.

Background[]

According to some of the townsfolk, this shack was once inhabited by Victor's owner, who lived there more than seven years prior to 2281. According to Trudy, no one in town knows who this person was.[1]

Layout[]

Situated at the southern end of the town, east of the Goodsprings schoolhouse, the shack sits just past the ruins of the old and abandoned houses. An Old-World flag adorns the front of the building.

Upon entering, there is a usable bed directly to the right, a desk directly in front, shelves to the left of the desk, both of which hug a central support column, and shelves along the right wall at the foot of the bed. There is a weapon repair kit on the desk.

There are two ammunition boxes, one at the back of the shack on top of the work table and one on top of the righthand side shelves. In addition, an oven and a sink with radiation-free drinking water are also found here, along with some usable shelves on the left wall above the oven and the adjacent work table. The Courier is free to use the shack as they wish, as nothing inside is flagged as owned, and Victor does not mind them trespassing.

Notes[]

  • Victor is not usually present in the shack despite being its owner, instead rolling around Goodsprings. Upon leaving Goodsprings and encountering him either at Novac or near Boulder City during They Went That-a-Way, an inactive "Victor" can be found standing beside the shack in Goodsprings.
  • "Metallic Monks" occasionally plays in here, but usually it will be "What Remains," the music which plays in Novac and some locations in Fallout 3.

Appearances[]

Victor's shack appears only in Fallout: New Vegas.
