For an overview of Vault jumpsuits, see Vault jumpsuit. |
The Vault jumpsuit is a piece of clothing in Fallout 4.
Background[]
The advanced Vault suit is a return to the form-fitting style that characterized the earliest jumpsuits, updated with the latest high-tech materials and technological solutions available to the Vault-Tec Corporation. It's a single-piece suit designed to hug the user's body shape. Various biometric sensors are integrated into the suit to interface with the Vault's systems, while the iconic yellow strip on the front is now made of gold foil, rather than dyed material, to act as a heat-dissipation strip and antenna for the biometric sensors integrated in the suit.[Non-game 1][Non-game 2]
Characteristics[]
The unmodified Vault jumpsuit increases Energy Resistance by 5 and Radiation Resistance by 10. Due to its form-fitting design, the Vault jumpsuit allows any piece of armor to be worn over it to further increase one's DR and ER values. All jumpsuits have a base value of 20 caps with the exception of the Vault 88 variant added with the Vault-Tec Workshop add-on which has a value of 0.

Notes[]
- Regardless of additional armor, wearing the vault jumpsuit will alter conversations with some characters, such as when first entering Vault 81 and meeting Overseer McNamara or during Story of the Century with Piper in Diamond City.
- The Vault 75, Vault 95, and Vault 101 jumpsuit variants are only obtainable with console commands.
- The clean version of the Vault 118 jumpsuit exists in the files of Fallout 76 but cannot be obtained.
- Cut vault jumpsuits (such as those of Vault 75, Vault 95, Vault 101, and the clean version of Vault 118) can be replicated through the "Vault Suit Customization" Creation Club content. This can be done by changing the number on a jumpsuit at an armor workbench. For example, for the clean Vault 118 jumpsuit, it can be acquired by changing the number to 118 and crafting the "clean" version.
