Privileged, uniform, and conformist, Vault City citizens lead an almost idyllic life within the sheltered City, protected from the wasteland by chain link fences, walls, and laser cannons. They have access to the best medical care and amenities available.
Interactions with the player characterEdit
|This character has no special interactions.|
- There is a script that in one of the houses they will turn around (if the Chosen One turns right, they will turn right).
- The residents in metal armor only appear in the Parlor Room at night.
- After the Chosen One destroys the control station Enclave, they may comment on it.
- "We must take care to keep our beautiful city clean."
Vault City citizens appear only in Fallout 2.
Behind the scenesEdit
The citizens in the Tap House of Vault City will sometimes say "I am feeling double-plus good today. You?" This is a cultural reference to the language of Newspeak which citizens of the fictitious superpower Oceania are forced to speak by the ruling totalitarian party in the book 1984.
