“I heard you actually traveled the outside world. How did you survive among those filthy Outsiders?”— A citizen to the Chosen One
Vault City citizens are the privileged class of Vault City in 2241.
Background[]
Privileged, uniform, and conformist, these citizens lead an almost idyllic life within the sheltered City, protected from the wasteland by chain link fences, walls, and laser cannons. They have access to the best medical care and amenities available.
They come from Vault 8 and are all anti-ghoul.

Behind the scenes[]
The citizens in the Tap House of Vault City will sometimes say "I am feeling double-plus good today. You?" This is a cultural reference to the language of Newspeak which citizens of the fictitious superpower Oceania are forced to speak by the ruling totalitarian party in the book 1984.[1]
