Vault 96 dweller corpses, simply known in-game as Vault dwellers, are the corpses of four of the five deceased residents of Vault 96.
Background[]
These corpses belong to four of the five personnel assigned to Vault 96: Overseer Erik DeMarcos, Jeanette Higgins, Hans Memling, and Molly Cooper. They died as a result of an attempt to escape the Vault; the Vault's mainframe enforced draconian research quotas on the staff under threat of death, and even killed the fifth resident, Nina Valaya, for failing to meet her quota.[1] DeMarcos used a prototype computer virus to forcefully shut down the mainframe and open the Vault. However, before this occurred, the mainframe activated Superseding Protocol Omega, which caused all four of the surviving personnel to be killed by the Vault's robots.[2]
