Vault 55 is one of the Vault-Tec vaults.
Background
As part of the Vault experiment, all entertainment tapes were removed. Sociologists predicted it would last longer than Vault 56. It is likely that the inhabitants would eventually go mad being stuck in the vault with no entertainment. The location of this vault is unknown.

This vault does not appear in any game and is mentioned only in Fallout Bible.
