Vault 43 was one of the Vaults created by Vault-Tec, and part of the Vault Experiment. Only 20 men, 10 women and one panther entered this Vault. Any other Vault defects are unknown. Its location is unknown. Vault 43 probably survived by killing the panthre.

Vault 43 appears only in the official Fallout 3 Penny Arcade Comic, written by Jerry Holkins and illustrated by Mike Krahulik, in cooperation with Emil Pagliarulo.
