Vasily Vasilyevich Dokuchaev (March 1, 1846 - November 8, 1903) was a Russian geologist and geographer.
Background
Dokuchaev was born in Milyukovo, Smolensk Governorate. He was perhaps the first person to make wide geographical investigations of different soil types, and also established a classification scheme describing five factors in soil formation based on his investigations of Russian soils. These contributions have led to his being credited as the father of soil science. Between 1869 and 1901, he published a total of 285 works, including 61 books and 4 maps.
Appearances
Vasily Dokuchaev is mentioned only in the Fallout 76 update Wastelanders.[1]
