Valdez's letter of recommendation are two paper notes in the Fallout 76 update Steel Dawn, written by Scribe Odessa Valdez. The variant that is received depends on quest choices.

The note is obtained at the end of Mother of Invention, after talking to Scribe Valdez following the acquisition of the mysterious component. If the player character performed well and kept the technology intact during the quest, they will receive the "good" recommendation. If the player character was reckless and destroyed technology, they will receive the "bad" recommendation.
