Hi there!Edit

FO1 intro Vault Boy

Welcome to the Vault!

Welcome to our Fallout wiki and thank you for your contributions! I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

A little help to get you started:

  • Recent changes lets you see what other people are editing right this minute and where you can help. You can also check our community portal for things to do.
  • If you haven't already, create a user page about yourself. If you do, we'll be able to know you better as a member of our community.
  • If you have questions, you can ask in our forums, join the live chat in our IRC channel or post a message on my talk page.
  • The help pages can help you learn how to edit and how use the wiki tools. The Vault's policies and guidelines can help you with putting those tools to good use and getting up to speed with our editing customs.

I'm glad to have you here and look forward to working with you!

Re: Problem report #28547Edit

Generally, suggestions like these should be made on the talk page of the respective article. To draw attention to it, you can also add {{merge}} at the top of the article which - in your opinion - should be merged. -- Porter21 (talk) 18:03, January 12, 2010 (UTC)

Article discussion pagesEdit

...are for discussions pertaining to the editing of the article itself. Please use our forums for gameplay discussions and the like. Thanks.--Gothemasticator 11:34, July 14, 2010 (UTC)

Your recent comments on the Underworld and General Stats discussion pages are good examples, but I see you've made quite a few such comments on article discussion pages recently, which is why I left you a message. I realize that article discussion pages are currently cluttered with off-topic ramblings, and in several cases you were just responging to existing posts. However, bit by bit we are getting cluttered discussion pages archived and spreading the word about how to use them (and not use them). The reason, by the way, is that articles need a place for targeted discussions about editing questions, and all the gameplay discussion makes it harder to do that. Our forums also get more and quicker attention and responses. (You may have noticed that several of the discussion page entries you were responding to were months old.)--Gothemasticator 11:58, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
I'm just making you aware of what the article discussion pages are for. Use your own best judgement when deciding what to post. Cheers.--Gothemasticator 12:37, July 14, 2010 (UTC)
