Auto-loom imageEdit

I was wondering how you created the Auto-loom image, it has an extreme resolution. Has Bethesda put it somewhere or did you create it yourself? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:51, December 2, 2016 (UTC)

Wow, that's a massively powerful videocard. But how did you achieve the 3440*1440 size if you only have a 1920*1080 screen. Dual screen? Anyway amazing, I'd like to see a few more, you can keep the size, 1,2 Mb is not even that large. I'd suggest you browse the Category:Fallout 4 images and its subcats, find a category you like and replace the poorer quality ones. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:25, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
I'm curious to see your images! Will be the best quality around here. I only know of one Russian user that can take 2560*1440px screenshots, the rest (me too) has 1920*1080. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 01:08, December 3, 2016 (UTC)
Also plenty of pages that still need an image in Category:Image needed (Fallout 4)

To cap or not to capEdit

See our capitalization policy: Fallout_Wiki:Editing_guideline#Capitalizing. We downcap commonly named items/characters etc. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:36, January 2, 2017 (UTC)

StructuresEdit

Looks good to me. Could do with commas instead of semicolons for materials, and a place for the base id. Also, there's already a table for it here, but I like your idea a little more because it's more compact and readable. Might want it to run it by someone else for more comments, like Jspoelstra. SierraX (talk) 03:22, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

Thanks for joining. I agree on the structure page, I don't see much use in it if it's (accidental alliteration!) just going to basically be a section of the settlement objects page. I'd copy the content over to the settlement objects page. SierraX (talk) 05:56, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

( I'd rather not see all those tags on the settlement object pages. You and Sierra know which pages they are. Better revert it, it clutters. Your suggestion is ok, it lacks a column for the images though. I think we can use your table, but the more important objects probably should keep their own page, as they won't show up searching when you put them on an overview page. You could link those in the table. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:53, January 3, 2017 (UTC)

ShopsEdit

Thanks for those pages. Could you also add for the lv3 shops links to the special characters that make the shop a "level 4" shop and provide special items? (like when the Vault-Tec rep is assigned to a trading emporium). Tell me if you need something. --YOD °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° 02:11, January 6, 2017 (UTC)

Holt Combes being a special vendor seems to be an error that was printed in the Vault Dweller's Survival Guide. Holt Combes's history shows that the info was added right at the creation of the page (23/11/2015) and that an anon went to see the game files to correct the info later (09/01/2016).
I believe Tina de Luca can be recruited but there's a bug that makes recruiting here quite hard. I'll try to get her with the console command fix and come back to you.
--YOD °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° 04:00, January 7, 2017 (UTC)
I got Tina in a settlement and assigned her to all the shops but I didn't note any unique merchandise. I guess she's just a unique settler and not a special trader. --YOD °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° 20:55, January 7, 2017 (UTC)

Reply stands Edit

I'll probably upload about 3 of them today (Including counter variants), Thanks by the way for listing the stands in the Image needed category and listed it as transaparent images needed. It makes it easier for me to see what is needed at the moment. Remember to always sign your post using four Tildas (looks like this ~), that way I can easier see you posted what. Forum: Edit SummariesEdit

No offense taken at all, at least not on my behalf. Your response was well-considered and very civil.

My issue overall here is that it's one of those "a lot of little things" problems. I can point to individual things that cause irritation or put people off, but each on its own (de)merit will appear minor and just make me sound like I'm petty or whining. The alternative is to show up with a laundry list, which produces chaotic discourse at best, with most people choosing individual points and treating them as in the previous sentence.

In the end, I think I've clearly made a very bad call about whether or not anyone would be receptive. This wiki feels as though it loves enforcing very specific, very arbitrary rules. I thought it would be agreeable to a new one that, in my opinion at least, had tangible benefits. Not so, it seems. Oh, well. Felice Enellen (talk) 15:41, January 8, 2017 (UTC)

Cultural refsEdit

I'll leave comment on the anon's talkpage. The reverts had summary comments but he may have missed that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:08, January 14, 2017 (UTC)

Food processorEdit

Go with the version you currently have in your sandbox. It does not allow for a direct comparison of the stats between the wasteland item and the processed variant but the table that I made is just too ugly. I don't know how to make a better divider. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 22:45, February 12, 2017 (UTC)

KellyEdit

I've done it now. You can do it a next time, you've gained enough credit and some confidence I would think with the work you've done here. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:03, February 16, 2017 (UTC)

FactionsEdit

I'd only use the major and minor factions listed on the faction overview pages, and not the creature factions. Them being creatures overrrides greatly them being a (technical) faction. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:27, February 18, 2017 (UTC)

Burnt ComicsEdit

Nice job counting those comics. I was actually on the way to Somerville Place myself when I got the notification of the edit change. It's people like you that take the time to do something seemingly insignificant that makes this a great wiki. Keep it up! StormRider71 (talk) 06:31, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

Burnt Comic Edit

I always doubted people read them so thank you for proving at least someone does and I'm glad I could provide amusement! Thus spoke Shane for Wax (talk) 17:56, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

I had my doubts given how little they are used to begin with along with response to my edit sprees that would have answered what was being questioned in the past haha. And I like leaving behind more substance than my usual shorthand that takes longer to type than what I edited. But aye, I am always willing to look at articles others would like my attention on, it makes me feel appreciated and noticed for the work I put in. :) --Thus spoke Shane for Wax (talk) 20:01, February 25, 2017 (UTC)

Cave Local Map Reply Edit

Me and Js had this discussion a couple of months back, and we agreed on that all maps that are from the interior of the location should always be added as the local map. But if no interior exists then a local map of the exterior would only be needed if the exterior features anything of signifigance, like terminals, notes, or if the specific location is very detailed. An example of this is the Diamond City map (Click Here). As you can see this particular exterior local map features all the entrances with proper naming and also, the area is very detailed and so a local map is needed. Though in this case with the Cave, a interior cell doesn't exist and the exterior has nothing of signifigance worth featuring on a local map. So, I would recommend to just leave it without a local map, all locations doesn't have to feature a local map. But yes, a local map should be added if it's needed. Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 18:48, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

I'll try to get the message out there, probably through a blog post or something, the same thing happened with the discussion about how the term "pre-War" would be used, it took some time for a decision to be made. But in the end almost everyone agreed on the decision. Anyway, keep up the good work Sakaratte! Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 21:49, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

OutfitsEdit

It can become a bit complicated and extensive. You need to go to a character in the Creation Kit, then the inventory (I think you mean that instead of the GECK). Then you have to browse the items and you'll get variants which improve when you reach higher levels. You'll also have great variation of misc items when you have a character with the Scrounger perk. Same with the outfit, check the outfit box and then go to the outfit branch in the CK to find that outfit there. Then you'll be able to browse all the (increasingly stronger) variants and levels they spawn. It can become a long list of possibilities for the more generic characters and there are plenty of those. The inventories/outfits that are now on the pages are mostly the inventory/outfit they wear when someone adds it from how they found it in the game. So just about every generic character page has an incomplete inventory/outfit (unique characters are mostly ok I think). I think we'll need some sort of overview pages, for example link Gunner outfit on a Gunner character's page and then that Gunner outfit page should be a table overview of all possible variants. Something like that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:25, February 19, 2017 (UTC)

Mackenzie will have a Pipe gun at level 1 and variants up to level 11, a Pipe bolt-action at level 4 and variants up to level 15 and a Pipe revolver at level 7 and variants up to level 15. Caps vary from 1 to 9, and she will have 1 item of the food basic item list and 1 item of the packaged foods list. I think that's how it works. So there you see, if you'd take all the food and packaged items alone, you'll already have a total of 25 possible items to list and it would get cumbersome. So we could investigate some sort of (packaged) food overview page to link to or transclude maybe. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:21, February 20, 2017 (UTC)
I was thinking more of an overview page to link to, for example linking [[Fallout 4 leveled items#Packaged food|Packaged food]] in a character's inventory, but it then we'll have to deal with various level variants for each item and next to that there are also so many item combinations in the leveled items list (see Creation Kit). Not sure it's realistic for being such a daunting task, even just for Fallout 4 alone. You just point out Fallout 3, I vaguely remember a forum about setting up such sort of page in 2011, but it didn't make it. Maybe you can find it, should be in Category:Archived Wiki discussion. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:32, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Nick Valentine's Talk page. Edit

I apologize, I forgot I'm not suppose to edit people's responses. Just figured you meant to capitalize that I. Won't happen again in the future. Also, if you find someone that has decent luck at finding stuff in the game files, I would appreciate knowing if the Original Nick Valentine is mentioned anywhere aside from dialog. Rebel427 (talk) 06:00, Feb 20, 2017.

Alright thanks for understanding. I might have to ask Jspoel for a favor then, though that guy is busy as hell.

I always hoped that the Fens Phantom was another one of Nick's cases, I highly doubt it, but I can't find anything about the Detective that the Phantom was so obsessed with.

Rebel427 (talk) 14:35, Feb 20, 2017.

Thanks for the link, I checked it out, didn't find anything about it. It's alright though, I will continue to search. Rebel427 (talk) 20:47, Feb 21, 2017.

Image Needed Tags Edit

Again, thanks for adding the image needed tags, there's so many pages missing images, more than I could imagine. Just wanted to give you a bit of a heads up on your continued work here, grammar and such. Keep it up! Anyway, thanks for adding the tags to the pages needing images. My work with the transparent images is a long process so when you add a "Image needed" tag to a page it might take a few weeks before that will be available on my agenda, for example the trading posts. You added those tags about 1 month before I had completed adding those images, so keep that in mind. Thanks! Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 12:43, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Sounds great! I agree with you on that adding tags to all pages would make the wiki look very messy. The settlements objects project page is a great place to report the progress that has been done and to also display what needs to be done. But if you or anyone else for that matter find anything that's in dire need of transparent images then feel free to request an image from me by just leaving a request on my talk page. Thanks for letting me know. Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 17:31, February 22, 2017 (UTC)

Bobblehead standEdit

I agree that it needs its own page. In this case, the redirect can be removed by typing in bobblehead stand into the search bar, which will then redirect to you to Vault-Tec bobblehead. Under the title, it'll say "Redirected from Bobblehead stand." Clicking on the link will send you straight to the bobblehead stand page where you can edit it. More information here. SierraX (talk) 23:57, February 25, 2017 (UTC)

Yes, I've noticed several other projects also have progress tables instead of bullet points. Feel free to add it onto the page. SierraX (talk) 00:13, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

Re: Settlement Objects Project Edit

Thanks for the suggestion. I did see the ongoing project lists, I will try to help as best I can. I'm trying to be on at least for an hour every day, but some days are more difficult as I do play games other than Fallout after I get off work. Rebel427 (talk) 03:51, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

I know the feeling, also pretty burned out on many of the games I play atm. Oh I figured you were tired or just trying to type something out quickly on the page, I don't mean to seem like perfectionist or anything. I've done the same thing myself. But I will try to help out as much as I can in the future. Rebel427 (talk) 04:10, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

Signed up for the Project, as well as the Bug Verification since I've already done a few of those. Not sure how much help I will be exactly, but if you misspell something I will surely catch it. :) Rebel427 (talk) 12:08, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

Sorry for my OCD, just correcting syntax/grammar. You're doing a good job on the junk items project though, rarely have to correct anything. Definitely not trying to take credit for any of it. Rebel427 (talk) 11:17, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

Okay, that actually makes more sense, you're using a phone. Auto-correct is the devil. Rebel427 (talk) 21:16, March 3, 2017 (UTC)

AchievementsEdit

Publishing too many edits in the same second can cause this glitch, sadly there's no real solution to it and the displayed bug you'll see on you userpage with the achievement track progress will stay like that (your progress on the next badge will be displayed as if you won't get your next achievement and you have to save up for the one after that.). I've had this happen myself before. In your case however this doesn't seem to be the cause of the problem, so I assume Wikia servers didn't update their cache or something like that and that that resulted in the same bug. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 11:16, February 26, 2017 (UTC)

Fallout 4 junk items: deconstruction tablesEdit

Hi. I noticed you started integrating a new element to the FO4 junk items articles. There is 300+ articles concerned so we probably should discuss exactly what to do before editing everything.

I have two suggestions though:

  1. Place the deconstruction table in a subsection of the Characteristics section to keep things cleaner.
  2. Keep the materials in the infobox. We likely need a new field in the infobox, e.g. |components =, to put all the components in which the item can breakdown. Then we would still have the |other uses = field to mention misc quests, bottling water and such actions.

Here is an example, the effects field in the infobox could be a new one labelled components or breakdown.

--YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 15:07, February 27, 2017 (UTC)

It's not really "something that needs to be discussed", but that could affect a LOT of articles and if you don't want to waste your time it's better to take 10-15mn to think about how to do it to be able to edit all the articles quickly and in a consistent way.
I added the new field (|components =) to the infobox, it should work on all the item infoboxes. I also updated the sandbox version if you want to check. You can improve it if you thinks it lacks something. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 19:13, February 27, 2017 (UTC)
No, don't include the upwards crafting table. It wouldn't work with articles like Steel, Ceramic... that can be used to craft 200 other items. The items that can be crafted with the article item should only be mentioned in the infobox and in the Characteristics section maybe with a descriptive sentence in the Crafting subsection. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 22:05, February 27, 2017 (UTC)
Looks good to me. I don't think it's not necessary to be that much thorough with what the item can be used to craft, it's a plus but it's not required. I put an alternative version in your sandbox for other articles. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 00:03, February 28, 2017 (UTC)
About the |quests field, you mean to use it for items like the Reporter's camera or the HalluciGen gas canister? I use the |quests field when the item is necessary to complete a quest (e.g. Flux sensor) and when the item is strongly related to a quest even if not necessary (e.g. Knight Rylan's holotag). That last one is really case by case and I may not be the best reference. If you use the field, add the article to the Category:Fallout 4 quest items. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 18:05, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────I'd say yes since I consider that the items like the Antique pocket watch are part of the reward for the quest Find the Treasures of Jamaica Plain. It's a reward full of junk but its the spirit of the quest. Do you have a complete list of the pre-War junk found in the basement? The Notable loot section of the Town Hall basement does not seem to be complete. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 19:07, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

The list is great. It is exhaustive so I don't know if it should be on the location article or on the quest article. Anyway, if it is not on one article then the other article should link to the list. I would still add the really interesting stuff into the Notable loot section (holotapes, unique baseball bat). --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 00:40, March 1, 2017 (UTC)

BarbellEdit

I'd keep it merged as it is with redirects from 40lb barbell and 80lb barbell. We can differentiate the stats in the infobox as we do for a lot of other articles. It's really a minor item that is found in very few locations and has no use apart from being scrapped. --YOD ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ 22:23, February 28, 2017 (UTC)

VariousEdit

You're adding way too much loot on a location page (Mass Pike Tunnel). Check Fallout Wiki:Notable loot policy to get an idea to what is notable. It's got to be special of some kind, not loot that's readily available. Cigarette pack already existed in the form of Pack of cigarettes (Fallout 4). The name Pack of cigarettes takes precedence in this case over Cigarette pack I think because it's the main form and most available. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:17, March 1, 2017 (UTC)

There are many variants of bottles that can be used in Survival mode, and they are each many in numbers, so easy to come by and not notable. Then there are 158 bobby pin boxes, that's way too many to be notable. Can you take a look at the Jamaica Plain Town Hall basement items list again? You've made it too long, better stick to just the notable loot and don't list everything. Most of it is listed twice now. The longer the list, the fast people lose interest in browsing it. I'd remove the whole Treasures Exhibit from the layout section and just leave the notable loot. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:00, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
You can still make a note of which area is which display for navigational purposes, yes. that's noteworthy. It's a bit of a special location, with so many unique items. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:41, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Now you removed too much. You had such nice subsections for the each exhibit display before, for the notable loot. You can reinstate that and no notable content template is needed. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:57, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
I updated your sandbox, you can move it like that to the NL section. I still removed a few items that weren't unique. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:19, March 2, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, you can remove it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:33, March 2, 2017 (UTC)

( Go ahead and you can do the rest of correcting the Fallout 4 crafting links. You can use the icon link just on the first iteration, that's ok. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:46, March 4, 2017 (UTC)

Cigar boxesEdit

They're next to each other on a shelf on the ground floor of Weatherby Investment Trust (exterior), which is to the right of Faneuil Hall. Walk past a bus and go below the WIT, bend to the left into an area with shelves. Watch out for some dogs. Rendering world environments in the CK takes forever, I don't use it anymore. What is do is go to FaneuilHallExt in the CK, then type cigar in the right column of the cell view and then you'll see the two cigar boxes with refid 937a2 an 937a3. Then I start the game in in lowest quality possible to save memory, type coc faneuillhallext to go to Faneuil Hall and then use player.moveto 937a2 to move yourself to one of the cigar boxes. Still takes a good amount of time, but it is faster. Try that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:09, March 5, 2017 (UTC)

Extra RAM will help, but a faster video card even more I think. Who has the money these days... Though I thought you already had a good rig going by what you have listed on your userpage. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:29, March 5, 2017 (UTC)
I need a whole new system, my PC is 4 years old now, only 4GB RAM, fairly slow video card. I could run Fallout 3 and New Vegas well, but Fallout 4 is a new ball game. Good thing I have a lot of patience. One of these days I'll get around to it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:52, March 5, 2017 (UTC)

Your rigEdit

Do you really have 64GB RAM now? That's mindboggling for someone who only has 4GB... Maybe you can try a few high resolution screenshots, should go smoother I'd say. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:37, March 7, 2017 (UTC)

Power armorEdit

I'm not sure what you have in mind but go ahead and give it a shot if you have a good idea.Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:13, March 10, 2017 (UTC)

Pages and Blogs Edit

I read about that somewhere, wasn't sure how to do it. I was just trying to create a blog post for my re-skinned weapon. Wanted to make sure I could make everything work properly. Probably won't make another one, I'll decide later if I want to create a separate page for it. Thanks for the advice. Rebel427 (talk) 05:24, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

Deleted revisionEdit

I've deleted it. I see you uploaded some highgrade images with a 3440*1440px ratio today. I feel that squeezes the image too much in height. I'd say keep the 1920*1080px (16/9) ratio, so if you could, cut your images on the sides to make it 2560*1440px. I just did that with the Mechanist's log image, which makes it better to see what's in it, without clicking on it. That also cuts down on the load time, some of your .png images even push the 10MB limit. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:35, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

Try to keep the images close to the original. Mechanist's log has been brightened and it's rather distant from how you encounter the location in-game. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:39, March 12, 2017 (UTC)
Yes, 3440*1440 is perfect for panorama views like for Sanctuary as you mention. Or Diamond City, maybe you can try a few. I just went to the image you linked in the game myself, and original, without light is just too dark, you can't see a thing. Your image is much better, but still a bit far off the original, Try reducing the lighting another 50% off (so to 25% light. How does that look? (and slightly more distance I think, the image is a bit "in your face" at the moment). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:04, March 12, 2017 (UTC)
Just now I notice you already have uploaded a panoramic image of Sanctuary Hills. It's a bit grimy, perhaps for the weather. You can make it clear sky using fw 2b52a. It's worth it, you're only using 1,58MB now; beside the improved weather you can increase the quality with Photoshop (you don't have it set to 12, right?). Or see how it looks in .png format. That's format is always the best quality. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:19, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

( Thinking more about it now we're experimenting to solve the dark issue, I think we're probably better off just using the Pip-Boy light if it's really dark and adjust it slightly from there to reduce maybe some of the green. Reason is the images you're creating at the moment aren't environments that you can create normally in the game (and people will recognize as such), while using the Pip-Boy light is a valid alternative in that matter. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:11, March 12, 2017 (UTC)

InfoboxEdit

Looks great. The components could cause some confusion on cross-game articles, but that shouldn't be a big problem. I'd see if an admin has any last concerns or suggestions before implementation. SierraX (talk) 00:39, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

Not very many, the bobblehead stand is the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Links to cross-game articles (soon to be disambig pages) will also have to be identified and fixed with Special:Whatlinkshere. SierraX (talk) 22:48, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

Deletion Re: Edit

Looks good, my point is just that adding a number of blank pages with no info makes the wiki no good. The reason behind why I couldn't find the base ID's for them was because I forgot about that they initially are unidentified. I'll rename the yungsten one to Tungsten and add images with transparent backgrounds later. That being said I still do think that all of the elements involved in the Cambridge Polymer Labs quest should all be merged into one page, because as I mentioned, they are initially unidentified. So maybe like "Unidentified samples" would be a good name for a page. Though, thank you for atleast cleaning up some of the existing ones. Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 06:29, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

I'd say that it would be best to start creating a good wikitable for all of the unidentified items, maybe make one in your Sandbox, then we can refine and enhance the wikitable and from then on create a page for all of the items. A merge would benefit the best in my opinion. JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 08:42, March 16, 2017 (UTC)

Congratulations on your 1000th edit. Keep up the god work. DisgustingWastelander 02:21, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Congrats on the Patroller status! Keep up the good work, I just pretty much sit here and watch you go with the settlement objects. Rebel427 (talk) 04:41, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Mounted creature headsEdit

I think we can merge all those mounted creature heads to one page, Mounted creature. You can see the link already on the Fallout 4 settlement objects page. They're of more use if you can browse through them on a single page. Some don't end with ... head, but we can make it a redirect anyway. Images can go to the gallery, with a small description. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:20, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

You can also try to give the images a place right next to the crafting table. I believe you're doing that at the moment. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:34, March 18, 2017 (UTC)
I see a whole lot of work done on the mounted creature page, looks good. Although the images could be a bit better, they'd look more real/less artificial taken in-game, with the sun on it, bit of shadow maybe. You can leave the signal interceptor objects as it is, no quest category needed I think. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:32, March 19, 2017 (UTC)
I'm curious to see what you can come up with! Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:21, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

Mounted creaturesEdit

Does this page eliminate the need for individual pages for each object or do we still create those? DisgustingWastelander 20:09, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Better picture coming up.
I noticed there are no page for either guard post or guard tower, do you think we should add a page for them? DisgustingWastelander 20:55, March 18, 2017 (UTC)
Alright that sounds good. I am considering creating a page for the fish racks that are in Far Harbor. There are 10 different types so I suppose the page layout should be something like the mounted creature page. If you want to go ahead and create the article, I'll provide the pictures. Removing the background on the pictures is going to be time consuming with so many metal nets, but I'll get it done. I will finish the mounted creatures pictures first though, so do not worry about that. If you do not want to create the page i guess I'll do it. DisgustingWastelander 22:46, March 18, 2017 (UTC)
There are 10 racks in the workshop menu. DisgustingWastelander 23:16, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────── Oh wow I was looking at the project page and the fish racks were not marked as created. Not checking if the page existed was apparently a bad idea. I guess the project page needs an update. My bad, sorry. DisgustingWastelander 23:40, March 18, 2017 (UTC)

Are you saying I am to use the CK? I am very new to it, how do I get good quality pictures from it? I am able to click on an object and see this kind of preview but it is very low quality.DisgustingWastelander 23:58, March 18, 2017 (UTC)
Where do I see the base id?DisgustingWastelander 00:40, March 19, 2017 (UTC)
I think I might have to give up on this. It does not say form id anywhere. If i right click and click preview, it opens a small long window and if I try to drag it out nothing happens. DisgustingWastelander 01:02, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

( You can use that image for the infobox. It also show the comparitive sizes of the mounted creatures well. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:56, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

Figured out the CK now. Found only these 3 fish racks. Do I just add them to gallery and add the form id? picture picture picture DisgustingWastelander 19:35, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

Second Opinion Re: Edit

I must say, the pages for all of the elements in the Cambridge Polymer Labs quest really do look better and features alot of info that is significant. The merge may actually not be necessary anymore. A merge have its pros and cons. The pros being a more coherent page and easier to navigate. But the cons for a merge is "what should you name it?". The elements are so unequal and making a united page featuring all of the elements may result in a incoherent page afterall. Though adding a "See also" section in the bottom of the element pages listing all the other elements may be a better way to still connect the pages with one another, but without making them incoherent. This whole discussion about the pages began because of a mistake I made, plus I didn't even know that these elements actually existed in game. So in conclusion, a merge might just make stuff a whole lot more messy. And as I mentioned, coming up with a united name for all of the elements may also be difficult if we decide to merge the pages. In my opinion a merge isn't necessaey anymore because the individual pages for the elements have been enhanced greatly, if the pages already feature info of signifigance then why merge them? A merge was necessary because back then the pages weren't well structured and didn't feature any notable information. Best regards, JackiBackiBoy Fighter Jet (talk) 13:38, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

White room modEdit

That is the mod I have been using to take all the pictures. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/15265/? DisgustingWastelander 18:08, March 19, 2017 (UTC)

Capitalization Edit

Haha - well, it's interesting to see people still asking me things on here.

Anywho - Hubologist is a proper noun, similar to Scientologist, or Christian, since it denotes a religion-based identity/title. 寧靜 Fox 03:05, March 20, 2017 (UTC)

Any time.
I only very rarely check in here, but I always check my E-Mails; so, just shoot me a message if you ever need anything, and I'll come ah-lurkin'. 寧靜 Fox 02:48, March 21, 2017 (UTC)

UntitledEdit

The one i change is my original lines. I put it there. It is not strange for someone to correct their own mistakes. I only edit my own lines. But i never limit anyone from changing my lines because this is wiki, i must respect others rights to contribute. No question ask. Simple. I notice there are users that edit my lines as soon i finish adding it but i still respect that. I put link because i want to make easier reading. Not everyone will read the whole lines, there are people who only read particular lines because they might have missed it before or for other reasons. By putting link i hope that they won't need to find the word by reading each of other lines just to find the link or type it down on search box. I don't think there are rules that limit people to put link in the lines.--GrieverFX (talk) 11:40, March 20, 2017 (UTC)

Frank Horrigan and "Game-wise" Edit

To clarify, the idea was to separate background information from his game stats. Maybe "game-wise" wasn't the best adjective to use, but still, I think that some separation would be nice :) Kazeite (talk) 21:34, March 20, 2017 (UTC)
