Welcome to my talk-page!
Nuka screen large.gif

Hello - My name is Leon, and I am always happy to have visitors. If you don't know much about me, I am a local lore junkie and community host here at Nukapedia.

  1. I love to debate! Even if you don't need me for administrative purposes, I am always around to talk about Fallout lore and canon. I am pretty big with other games, too, so feel free to talk about whatever.
  2. Life is weird and always changing for me, so you'll never know when I might be lurking around. So don't be surprised if I message you back at some awkwardly long period down the road, as many of my days keep me fairly busy and away from the wiki. If you wish to get in touch with me, generally you can get a faster response by pinging me on the official Discord servers.
  3. Politics don't interest me much, as I vastly prefer the community-side of the wiki. Chances are, you will bump into me on some blog. Or lore forum. Or while I am stalking your profile. Whichever.
  4. Please be respectful at all times on my talk-page. I may be an administrator, but that doesn't mean I have to respond to you if I'm met with vitriol. Message me with a calm demeanor, and I assure you that I am willing to talk any matter through no matter the issue.
Welcome to Nukapedia!

Greetings, Old Man Leon, and welcome to the Fallout Wiki!

Infobox templates

Doesn't seem to apply to us from what I read on the link in the admin dashboard. It's a simple setup of infobox possibilities. Our infobox templates are already far more advanced. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 21:27, September 12, 2019 (UTC)

I forgot to tell you this

Congratulations on being an admin here! I hope you enjoy your time here. Acj1225 (talk) September 19, 2019

Leon, thanks for your forum, it is well written and clear to understand. So good work, you're one of the best men to do these kind of things. Another small issue, can you decrease your signature height a bit? It pushes the line preceding/following it down. Do you remember we talked about it many years ago, maybe 2012 or so, to have a maximum height for it? Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:20, February 6, 2020 (UTC)

I can go along with that. I think I left most proper article names capped (like What Atom Requires (holotape) etc., not sure, I may have made some judgement mistakes. I trust your judgment. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 13:05, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

already admin?

Hey how are you an admin already? I thought you needed a couple of thousand edits at least first?--Branebriar1930 (talk) 13:18, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

Ah okay I see--Branebriar1930 (talk) 13:30, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

Hey there im not completely sure what you were trying to say to me but it dont mind if you or anyone else wants change or get rid of the edits i made on the bloodworm page. I only added them because i doesnt look like anyone has put any info on that page for ages and i didnt want it too look so empty.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 21:42, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

aahhh ok I see what you mean ill avoid that in the future--Branebriar1930 (talk) 22:10, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Edit warring

Reverting an edit warring user is not an offense, nor has it ever been. The standard is to maintain the page as it was before the edit warring occurred (which is also the exact job of checking edits). Your warning is both out of line and disregarded. Great Mara (talk) 11:55, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

The warning does not hold, as it was issued out of line and I was not the one repeatedly restoring the change. That was solely Ant. It is my job as a patroller to undo bad edits, including edit warring, which I did. That being said, I’m escalating this to Js. Great Mara (talk) 18:32, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Tags

No need to get so defensive about it. I'm just following what practically every other page has set as a precedent for how line breaks should look, which is without that space. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 18:28, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

Still not sure what your reason is for having the space there, and especially since almost every single page I've edited here doesn't do it that way. If you've been conforming both wikis to it for years, then why wasn't it done before this? AllYourFavorites! (talk) 18:38, February 15, 2020 (UTC)
Again, I don't get why these changes are necessary, and they're not in-line with other areas of the wiki, that's why I removed them. In regards to the space, Wikipedia uses the example "And this line of text<br />will break in the middle." I get that this isn't Wikipedia, but I'm more inclined to follow that than adding spaces after every line break because you want it that way. Even the Vault uses "Line breaks<br />don't break levels." here. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 18:55, February 15, 2020 (UTC)
And that's fine, since they don't break policy, but at this point, I think a bcrat should give word before a decision is made, since adding these spaces would require thousands of pages to be changed if we're to be consistent. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 19:02, February 15, 2020 (UTC)
I don't want to set anything in stone yet either, I just feel like another perspective would be helpful here. That said, there is another change I noticed, the use of "player-character" vs. "player character." I'm not trying to get on your case or anything, but the editing guideline uses it without the hyphen, so that would be a bit different from the line break space. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 19:18, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

Player character

No worries, just wanted to clear that up. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 19:34, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

i removed some references because there were way too many for a character that's only involved in a single side quest that's all. if i broke something then it was an accident --Branebriar1930 (talk) 21:49, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

If you wanna ban me too then do what you must but i'm not really interested in reading through references fro such a mundane character compared to people like caesar and house who have the m same or less references and triple the page length--Branebriar1930 (talk) 21:51, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

This is a wiki. We're here to log information, not remove it because its "Boring and for a mundane character". If there's references, we put it in. If there's info that's relevant, we put it in. We don't remove it because "that character's not important". That would qualify as vandalism, careless or no. What "You're interested in" isn't an important facet. LovinglyGaslight (talk) 22:02, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

The two are close enough together that they could be viewed as roughly the same location if not for the quest. Me wanting to leave the comment about the campsite there is predominantly a UX thing - the quest brings you to Hornwright purifier 4 and then you're meant to hunt for it, so it feels weird to not have something on the page that indicates the presence of the campsite at least (if someone looks up the air purifier site to try and find the location of the actual camp). Otherwise because Janelle's camp is unmarked and unnamed in the game, it's hard to know to go look for that page instead (quest page with the description exists, but I like to meet readers on all fronts and it's not like the Hornwright page has "too much" information anyway lol).

Not gonna die on a hill about it though, so if you want to remove it feel free. --L84tea Tea kettle.pngWould you like a cup of tea? 22:46, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

look obviously one page doesn't really matter but im worried that this is going to snowball to the point were every piece of dialogue becomes a reference and pages just become lots and lots of numbers, basically there needs to be a cutoff point for TMI.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 08:55, February 16, 2020 (UTC)

No, I don't play Fallout Shelter. You could remove the stub template on pages that still have a section needed template for the walkthrough, but leave the section needed template there. So just remove the stub template if the page is pretty much complete except for the section needed on the walkthrough. Bit a cleaning couldnt hurt on the Shelter pages. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:40, February 16, 2020 (UTC)

After seeing Tea's response to this, I think I'm gonna just leave it all as is. I enjoy Shelter, and I've been tempted to just start over and fill out articles as I go through the quests one by one, but I just haven't had the time for doing stuff like that anymore. ;( But now that my time has freed up a bit more, I'll see if I can fit that into my schedule a bit. 寧靜 Fox.png 17:14, February 16, 2020 (UTC)

BC input

I've read a bit through the messages going back and forth between Ant, Branebriar, AYF and GreatMara. This generally seems a bit overreacting at this point. These are mostly trusted users who make good faith edits and (most of them) have done so for a considerable time already. Why did you send AYF a notice on the Bert Riggs page for example, I didn't get that. He must have been surprised. Same a bit for GreatMara, he didn't even do that much to deserve a notice already. And it looked ok to me or I must have missed something. Seems like you're still a bit rusty becoming recent changes active. I'd generally go a bit easier on the users.

On another note, I know you're going through the notes and holotapes. Be careful with this, I wouldn't want to come home and see 25 articles capped. Maybe first put a suggestion list in a sandbox so I can see where you're going. Already some doubts on Brotherhood Honor Code, and I would leave Find the Missing Caravans uncapped, leave it as you can find it in PIPBOY.MSG (Fallout 2), where it's decapped. This is how you see it in the game.
(Can you downsize the height of your signature?) Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:18, February 16, 2020 (UTC)
Yeah, I miss a few things not seeing what's happening about the subject in Discord... Still it may have been a bit over the top to issue a warning already to users like AllYourFavorites and Great Mara. Maybe start with a friendly policy reminder first there. Signature is still too high. You just shaved off 3 pixels, to 25. Can you make it 15, or at least 20 then? Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:50, February 16, 2020 (UTC)
I wouldn't have included User:Jgrsoto yet in those notices you sent to several people on edit-warring. It's the first time I've seen him do it, he wasn't even really aware he was doing it I think, was just one tiny edit. So go easy on him for future reference. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 19:08, February 17, 2020 (UTC)

( Just wanted to relay that I respect your reasoning to block those two users, though I'm sad to see it, as they are active users and we need to keep such users, especially upcoming ones like branebriar motivated. A block doesn't really help, but we'll take it he sees it as a learning point (he may not have been fully aware of edit-warring consequences yet). Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:47, February 17, 2020 (UTC)

Ok good enough. Branebriar does learn fast and has potential here, just in a week or so I already see good progress. He'll learn how it works soon enough. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:56, February 17, 2020 (UTC)

Zealous Champion's Moderator Request

I hope you're doing well, Leon. As you know, a month ago Zealous was given chat mod rights temporarily in order to test him out. Are we going to proceed with a vote?

Kind regards,

Jgrsoto Coat of arms of Puerto Rico.png 22:34, March 2, 2020 (UTC)

I dont see the need for it. It's clear enough on the administrator page who needs to be asked, I'm around as a bureaucrat and Richie will see talkpage messages I think. Also, I'm monitoring what's happening on recent changes, Kdarrow has sprung to mind though I'm not sure she's interested in it, though I could ask her. Dankalor can ask me as well, I'd think about that one. We could use one or two more patrollers, with in future mind we need some more active admins. If I'd become inactive here for some reason. it's be an idea to delegate giving out patroller rights, but for now not yet. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 22:55, March 5, 2020 (UTC)

Line breaks

I gave you cited reasons from Wikipedia, whose Manual of Style we follow as a backup, and even the Vault, as well as the precedence that just about every page I've edited here doesn't do it that way. I don't see how that isn't a "real answer." And to be honest, "you guys are just inventing work for yourselves since I have no plans on stopping" is an embarrassing, childish position to take as an administrator. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 23:28, March 5, 2020 (UTC)

You're overreacting. I removed them the first time because it was not in-line with other pages and I hadn't seen it done before. I understand where it comes from, but it clearly does not follow what's recommended. Even the Vault's guideline runs contrary to this, as I pointed out to you twice before. If you think me changing something that you did in just three or four edits over a three-week period is "following your edits around," then you should grow thicker skin instead of throwing a fit when something isn't done your way. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 02:20, March 6, 2020 (UTC)
As far as I'm aware, you're the one who started this up again by namedropping me and talking about how my answer wasn't good enough.
I seriously feel like I've been gaslit since this entire merge started. Not too long ago, you were talking about how you had decided this was the way you were going to do things and nothing was going to stop you, so we all better suck it up. You ended your first message to Js with that. But I'm the one being nitpicky and spouting bullshit? You are either acting in very bad faith or you're fucking insane. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 04:22, March 6, 2020 (UTC)

Can you not add these spaces before or following <br />? It is breaking format as we have been using it here many years. There's really no reason to do it. Just leave it as is. Also, don't remove the asterisk when there's a very short list like listing a quest (see here). It looks plain akward. Even with a very small line of text following it, I'd still use an asterisk. It looks better. Changed General Atomics Galleria back again, believe it's a proper noun. Not sure about the Prydwen, but it's the same as Citadel, so suppose I would have to go along. DankalorYT and Kdarrow are patrollers now. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:51, March 7, 2020 (UTC)

With "breaking format" I didn't mean it literally in the wiki format way of sense, but figuratively speaking as in "how we have done things here for years and now you're changing it". We already have the space between <br and /> which break the line if necessary; we don't need it a second time. We probably have a few 100000 br tags used like that, it's madness to change it. About the use of the asterisk, I'm not sure what the (wikipedia?) typography is or if it is incorrect, I don't like it and it looks akward. (We don't necessarily need to use wikipedia format anyway). If you want to change it, discuss it in Discord or set up a forum, maybe even with a vote. It looks bad and I don't want to see you change it without discussion on hundreds of pages where it is used like that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:25, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
Ok. You are changing the way we have done things here for as long as I'm around (and that's reaching 10 years) on two accounts, the break line tag and the asterisks. We may not have a specific guideline on them but I don't want to change the way as we use them as we do. If you want to change it, set up a forum for an update on those guidelines, in which you point out why they are technically correct, with references. I can at this point also say the line breaks and asterisks as we have used them for years is correct, so who is to say who is right? I'm going to ask you not to add those spaces and/or remove asterisks until that time. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:02, March 7, 2020 (UTC)
You are also an administrator. I can say the same thing about you. Goal appearantly is to create a guideline on formatting. I don't know where you get your information on the break tags and the asterisks. So I wouldn't be able to argument it with references, you can. I can set up a forum, as long you give me those references. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:14, March 7, 2020 (UTC)

You're starting to make waves here (again). Reminds me back from 2012 from your feud with GhostAvatar. Don't remove the Doctor overview page. It's a valid overview page, for the various Doctor overview pages for other games. Same value as other overview pages like merchants. Also had a bunch of links leading to it. Just leave it, or add content to it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 13:11, March 10, 2020 (UTC)

Re:Discord ban

So, you're saying you banned me for something that's not even banworthy? You realize there are moderating steps below banning, right? Steps created for this exact reason? And what warnings? You talking about the time he kicked me for asking what I said to constitute a warning? --Paladin117

I still don't know what warnings you're talking about. And you literally said this wasn't enough to warrant a ban. And I've had Tagaziel blocked since he kicked me for talking to him. I know that hasn't stopped him from making passive aggressive comments aimed at me, however.
I considered them about as rule-breaking as my tiny comment. As in, not at all. And I still don't know what previous warnings you're referring to.

I would like to state an overdue apology for my rash behavior that day. I did not mean to break the rules. I sent an apology to your twitter but you must have missed it. So I will state it once again. It seems that I underestimated the gravity of the consequences. Had I known what would happen, I would not have posted it to you at all. I hope you can find it in your soul to forgive me.

Re: Laat's Block

While I have no issue with admin review, seeing as how Laat and I are both discussions moderators, /d mods do have ban rights. You likely saw the link cor provided in SD, but just so its here in talk page as well, this forum is where /d mods were given ban rights.

For convenience, this was what was voted on:

Option 1 - Unlimited Ban Rights to DMsEdit With this option, we would ask wikia to add the "Block" ability to all Discussion moderators. This would not give any further admin abilities (Lock page, rename, access mediawiki pages, etc) to these users.

Their use of the tool would be as we admins use it for wiki business already - ban guidelines published, but durations technically at the discretion of the ban placer.

The only rules restriction we would place on DMs is that this tool could only be used when dealing with an issue in discussions. Misuse of the tool would be dealt with in line with our current misuse processes.

This would allow them to deal with any issues that arise.

If the ban was only reverted, citing a lack of ban authority by /d mods, I would refer you to the forum which decided on /d mod authority, and ask that it be restored. Beyond that, only that decisions such as appeals or upholding follow through as normal with any other ban. The Dyre Wolf (talk) 05:03, June 1, 2020 (UTC)

Appreciate it. I would honestly be more worried for someone if they actually did remember every single forum and discussion point that's come up over the course of the wiki. I know we do not always see eye to eye on every topic, but I appreciate your fair and balanced approach. Originally tried to get Richie since it was closer to reasonable human hours state side, but since it seems like he's gone to bed (at least without him popping in yet) I went ahead and sent a second message to Tag. One of them should see it, and in case I am not available at whatever hour they first are, I linked the original /d thread, the alert page message, and the messages on Laat's talk page. Hello Leon,

thank you for your post on my talk page. I am indeed interested in honing my skills further. Thus I have just signed on as a mentee.

I am particularly interested in:

1. General Editing - already know my way around item editing and setting up references, would like to improve on locations, characters and all other categories and aspects.

2. Technical editing - basically a virgin, I know how to fill in stuff req. by templates (e.g. infoboxes), but how to create/layout one? Also need to improve on working with existing templates. Much work ahead.

3. Image processing - basic image uploads and proper categorization. Also how to create item images (have been using NifSkope to compare meshes during the junk split, but taking screenshots and editing in GIMP only lead me to undesireable products thus far.)

4. .esm readouts with xEdit/FO76Edit - basic knowledge at best, can find my way around Form IDs, can conclude where REFRs link to/from, know what LVLIs are for, but that is about it. Still much work here as well.

As for Kdarrow being my mentor, I can perfectly agree to that, if she is willing to work with me. I already asked her questions time and time again on Discord, and she answered every single one very patiently.

With that said or rather written, I wish you a pleasant day. -Findabair (talk) 04:34, July 30, 2020 (UTC)

Just copying what it says on his page, and the president is referred to as the secondary on his. --Branebriar1930 (talk) 11:17, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

I mean he is the only one of those antagonists who actually antagonises (fights) the player, I would definitely put him above bird and curling. He is also the 'face' of the enclave to some extent? But i guess its enclave itself that acts as the main antagonist. I just think that there an assumption that each game has a main and a secondary antagonist that are individuals, not the organisation as a whole.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 11:38, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

i guess but the set up is pretty much repeated in fallout 3. on the pages autumn is regarded as the main and eden as the secondary. Eden is hardly antagonistic to the PC while autumn is an total asshole who the LW has far more investment in killing (because of their dad). But at the same time autumn is also technically just a soldier with an endgame boss fight. --Branebriar1930 (talk) 12:42, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

I suppose that's true. I personally would still call Frank the main antag simply because he is both the most threatening and the bigger threat out of any other enclave member (to the point where his own guys can turn on him). In many movies its not always the boss of the villians that is the main antag, sometimes its the most ruthless henchman or enforcer that actively antagonises the hero the most. If not Frank then would Richardson be the main and frank second? we should still have a primary antagonist that is an individual not just 'the enclave' so as to stay in line with the rest of the games.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 12:58, August 21, 2020 (UTC)

Hey there, thank you, I really do appreciate that! I know I'm generally quietly working away minding my own business, but since I've been back I have found that itch to get more involved. Dusty was a hiccup, but I know I should have bit my tongue at the end there.

To be completely honest I never imagined myself as an admin, primarily because I knew/know I'm not (yet) a significant presence socially, plus I don't think the tools would suit me (at least right now) if that makes sense. I don't really tend to think about moving up so-to-speak but content moderator does have a certain ring to it.

Really, I'm pleasantly suprised to know even some of you do consider me an option. Thanks again, that was a nice little confidence booster :) --Tribal Wisdom TribalWisdom(colour).png Tawlk ta me! 10:54, August 25, 2020 (UTC)

I'm ok with giving him patroller rights, he's doing good work around here. Let's see what the other 2 bc's think then. (I'm editing as an anon until I intend to return more regularly). Jspoel.

I saw your comments on lesson two, and I think I may have missed where 50 were required, I thought it was 25. I did speak with Bleep about bugs on Discord, I am not sure what was needed other than that. The Nipton town hall bug was one that I added myself, I linked it on the article here as well as added it to the location page. If this is all ok with you, I can move to lesson three. -kdarrow Pickman heart.png take her for a spin! 22:15, September 19, 2020 (UTC)

That will work for me. Mixed bag comment being under my skin, I would be remiss if I did not also point out that I did 2000+ edits instead of the required 200. Good day, sir, I said GOOD DAY. -kdarrow Pickman heart.png take her for a spin! 22:31, September 19, 2020 (UTC)

line breaks

They are just out of place. never seen them on other info boxes. I assumed they were a mistake?--Branebriar1930 (talk) 13:18, September 30, 2020 (UTC)

Wait, it looks like you have had this debate already? Haven't other editors asked you not to do it anymore? --Branebriar1930 (talk) 13:20, September 30, 2020 (UTC)

regardless of your reasons, you seem to be trying to change the universally accepted format, and it doesn't sound like anyone else likes that. If you really feel strongly about it you should probably get the rest of the community on board instead of just going at it alone. I'll go along whatever format is universally accepted, but you are the only one who seems to want those breaks, so you can't really get annoyed with me for just maintaining the status quo.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 13:54, September 30, 2020 (UTC)

I have talked to JP, because this seems like a bigger issue that you should be having with your fellow admins, not me.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 14:44, September 30, 2020 (UTC)

If its breaking from format I will change it back, that's all that matters, and that's all I care about. You broke from format and I simply restored it, you had your reasons, but they're just an opinion until the rest of the administration is in agreement. It is your job to convince your fellow admins that line breaks should be the new norm BEFORE getting annoyed with editors who are simply trying to maintain uniformity within the format. As it stands, regardless of your opinions - line breaks are wrong, you are in the wrong for doing them. Don't need to explain myself when getting rid of something that is wrong.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:43, September 30, 2020 (UTC)

Oxford commas

These are grammatically unnecessary and archaic. General practice here has been to remove them unless they specifically help avoid confusion in the sentence structure. Simple lists are already delineated with an "and" or "or" within the sentence. For consistency with other articles, they should be kept to a minimum. And I generally try to make articles conform to AP standards. Great Mara (talk) 02:29, October 29, 2020 (UTC)

AP, not APA, that was a typo. AP focuses on articles and calls for them to remain at a minimum. And if we're going through hoops with different editors, we should probably select a universal style guide. Great Mara (talk) 03:12, October 29, 2020 (UTC)
To answer this question, we write articles. AP style is a guide focused specifically on article writing. Great Mara (talk) 03:33, October 29, 2020 (UTC)

My tact wouldn't be an issue if the administration didn't come off as treating the users that have migrated from the Vault with kid gloves. I seriously doubt the objectivity on your end when it comes to dealing with them. Ant constantly ignores policy in favor of following through to his personal wants, including on multiple occassions ignoring what he's been told prior by admin staff, for example, not including irrelevant parts of conversations in citations like he did the other day.

He edit wars constantly and nothing is said to him, and you're suprised at an increased level of frustration regarding him when even Tagaziel outright admits they don't like dealing with him? Really?

Ant only approached AYF after apparently running to the Discord out of view for another private circle-jerk instead of discussing the changes on Ahoy's talkpage or the article talkpage for transparency. That is blatantly underhanded and par for the course with him, as far as I'm concerned.

You say you have been working towards Nukapedia a more welcoming place, but again, seem to favor Vault users over the Nukapedia editors and between you and JCB, are one of the direct reason for at least one user leaving the Discord aside from myself. That rings really hollow coming from you.

And I suppose I should "politely disagree" like Ant does in edit summaries? Speaking of passive aggression? Being polite doesn't seem to be taking hold with him. Just what does being polite have to gain with someone who has no intention of listening either way. They're actively seeking to be an irritant.

I can certainly work on dialing it back, but I will only tolerate the disrespect so far before an response is warranted. I am not a doormat.

I would argue Ant's request being in good faith, which is exactly why it warranted telling off. With him framing it as something I "decided" while arguing against both basic grammar in literary citations and not even mentioning either discussing matters with Ahoy, let alone Ahoy's edit, and again referring to a consensus achieved essentially behind closed doors with an unknown number of actual individuals.

That's all I have to say on the matter. Great Mara (talk) 08:07, 11 November 2020 (UTC)

RE: Call to Action

Hi Leon, thanks for the message on my talk page. Unfortunately, I have always been of the opinion that concepts such as TVA are already the job of moderators; that we should and be expected to help users with any issues they may encounter. I've personal helped several users become introduced to the wiki, and in two cases gone further by offering and instructing on editing and staff requirements (as both individuals were hopeful to become dmods, one of whom did go on to). These were just personal conversations between two users, and with no hard guidelines. As such, I cannot support a project that desensitizes such a concept with quizzes and the like. Sorry. Hey there, glad to see the old site being active and well, as usual.

Anyway, I am not as active here (in fact, my last edit was a year ago) because I don't play Fallout as I used to. Mostly because now 76 is about multiplayer, and my stay here was just to watch if someone did an edit good or bad.

I am a bit proud to say that I have learned much, and it is about CSS/JS, RegEx and even those MediaWiki functions, too. If someone wants to, I can pass this rich knowledge.

I do want to ask about this Academy, though, can I ask some other people, from other wikis, to come? It's just that I am bit too 'strained' from editing, and decided to leave most of the Fandom around next year. To compensate, it would be beneficial if the people from other sites would come and learn these things before I go.

As for other things, I'll look into those. ☢ Energy X ☣ 18:42, 13 November 2020 (UTC)

yeah okay, i'll bite. show me your sources that myriad isn't an adjective, and that i'm, as you put it, 'incorrect' for using it as such, please :)

merriam-webster, apstylebook,, wiktionary, and myriad others disagree with you, but you know more than them, i take it? you asked me to come, so here i am.

here are my sources, since i'm...well, actually, i'm not casting the first stone, but i'd love to see you back up the one you cast my way.

boop. bow. bazinga. bam.

sorry, you only get a tweet from ap because i'm not shelling out money for some rando who can't do a google search before trying to talk down to me. like i said, it's a matter of style, it's an adjective and a noun, and i'm not incorrect. what IS incorrect, though, is your insistence that myriad is not an adjective, and that i am incorrect. cheers, luv. do a google search before trying to insult someone next time, yeah?—Preceding unsigned comment added by Corverne (talkcontribs). Hi there! Not sure if you happened to notice, but in the merriam webster link and in the wiktionary link you sent they actually use "a myriad of". Not sure what kind of point you are trying to push but you really shouldn't be insulting one of the ADMINS OF THE WIKI. -Eckserah User Eckserah.png Head Dataminer 08:39, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

You're right, should have done that rather. Will do so in the future.Branebriar1930 (talk) 23:21, 20 November 2020 (UTC)

Cont. Myriad

Hey these are just my thoughts but so I just wanted to say that I have no idea what that Corverne person is on about. I don't see anything wrong with saying a 'myriad of old world values' (that's what I would say). Saying 'a large number' instead of myriad just looks like a very awkward, and obvious, substitute. This is just my opinion however, and if it has already been resolved then no worries, just leaving it out there. Branebriar1930 (talk) 11:06, 25 November 2020 (UTC)

I apologies if i was hasty to delete the page but it has no context - What game do they appear in? What wasteland?Branebriar1930 (talk) 10:15, 30 November 2020 (UTC)

BoS Collectron

For items, we use names as they appear in the GECK or xEdit, and there its name is BoS Collectron, not Brotherhood of Steel Collectron. I did check in the Atomic Shop but there the name is also BoS Collectron, sometimes they appear different there. Jspoelstra (talk) 12:38, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Sure, that's ok by me. Jspoelstra (talk) 12:20, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello! I recently sent you an email to your registered email address. Please check it out when you have a chance! HeyTots (Contact) 19:29, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Have I done anything since the whole thing with Kate that warrants this? Or is this some overdue punishment that you feel I am owed? Because It feels like I was rightfully chewed out by Kate for my behavior, and now two weeks later or whatever you decide to punish me for it? Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:10, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Also have you discussed this with the JP, Richie or Tag? I thought only Bureaucrats could revoke rights? Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:19, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Ok instead of patronising me, tell me what you mean by edit summery?? If it is in regards to the service rifle, I think that was a perfectly fair bit of frustration, just check the edit history. Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:33, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Look at the radium rifle page, I will be pretty surprised if their isn't a CMOD or admin that hasn't said the f-word there. I'm going to wait for a bureaucrat to tell me what's what, because you have a history of going against the grain of your fellow admins, and often act on your own, and if I am to be punished, I would like to hear it from one of them. Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:53, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Can you shed some more light on the new complaints towards Branebriar? If it's no more than the f* word on the service rifle page I would let it go with a warning really. AYF did the same thing on the radium rifle page. Giving him a sentence now from behavior two weeks ago is too little too late, give him the benefit of the doubt in this case. And let's agree that we don't use that f-word anymore. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:52, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

Even if I timidly waited around for one month, I would never be taken seriously as a CMOD ever again. I knew it was a mistake to come back here. Don't bother giving rights back to a dead profile, or even waste time responding to this message. Branebriar1930 (talk) 17:36, 21 March 2021 (UTC)

The only part of Emmett Mountain I care about is the presence of super mutant body parts in pre-war barrels. I agree that the rest with the terminal should be moved and kept it as such with the content dividers. The environmental storytelling of the location is all that matters here. Also I'd like to discuss the rest in DM over discord if you can, because this is too late for me to respond to everything. Devastating DaveZIP ZAP RAP 05:27, 8 April 2021 (UTC)

I'm p happy with the article right now, but I look forward to your re-write as well. Also, I'll try DMing you soon cause I couldn't today. Devastating DaveZIP ZAP RAP 04:56, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

The problem with marking it as simply "unused content" is that we actually can investigate the manner, which is my point. The game duplicates the terminal entries for the site manager and site inspector, baselessly, which indicates this is a case of bugged content, which is actually also reflected in the policies.

As for edit warring, I hope you will also take remedial steps to address Intrepid's ongoing hostile behavior and aggression, and inserting himself into edit wars to harass other users. At any rate, thank you for getting involved - however, as no trace of this is present in the Discord or on the wiki, I would like to request that you stick to the rule of discussing these things in public spaces.

When Eckserah mentioned you're "dealing with it", I could find no trace of this in reach, and I had to assume that he was not being truthful. I think you can understand, basing on prior experience, how bad lack of transparency can be and how damaging backroom deals are. Тагазиэль 09:21, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Emmett MDS

I appreciate it, but there are no human body parts present at Emmett MDS, only super mutant body parts in the barrels. While I agree the terminal about the waste inspector taking some money to ignore the barrels should be left in BTS, the presence of super mutant body parts in world paired with the terminal entry about dry-rot wooden supports makes it quite obvious that the purpose was to ensure the barrels get buried forever. The part you moved from BTS should be moved back because it's present in-game. The only implication that can be made is that West Tek (the only people who could possibly make super mutants pre-war around Appalachia) were dumping the corpses here and the Feds were making sure they stayed buried by making the foremen who asked too many questions disappear. Devastating DaveZIP ZAP RAP 17:03, 9 April 2021 (UTC)

Yeah, that's fine. I guess people can put 2 and 2 together with West Tek and the government. Devastating DaveZIP ZAP RAP 18:50, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
