Wanted to Let You Know About Speculation[edit source]

Hi, LoneGun, I'm Mus and I wanted to let you know why your recent edits were undone (fyi, not undone by me). The articles are not suppose to have speculation, inferences can be made but not unproven assumptions. If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me or an admin. --Musiekutsueki (talk) 03:11, May 17, 2016 (UTC)

Referencing your question about marriage in fallout 4. I don't really mind as it will only be a minor change. If enough people want it then i'm sure a mod will be made to somewhat implement it.

Real-world weapons reference[edit source]

We do not accept references to real-world weapons on the articles unless it has been confirmed by a game developer. Here's one of the reasons:

We've had the following arugment too many times

GunNut1: Weapon XYZ is clearly an ABC, Model D, I fired one yesterday GunNut2: No, its clearly a EFG you idiot, the H variant, I collect them GunNut3: Where do you morons get your information? Its clearly an IJK, I used to shoot them in the marines Reality: Actually, I just checked with the Josh Sawyer - the head of the game - and its actually none of those. Its completely fictional with bits of MNO and TUV in the design, and works kinda like a HIJ.

As a result, we accept developer word for it, or a specific claim in the game that its it.
Agent C

You can find more arguments here and there, and this is the related paragraph in the policy.

Brain Dead[edit source]

And what source do you have that Bethesda even knew of the mod, let alone based an entire quest off of it a couple months after it was made? Paladin117>>iff bored; 16:26, September 27, 2016 (UTC)

Re: Bloodbugs[edit source]

You use the line "appear to have been based upon" in the trivia. That implies that there is no developer confirmation or that the info provided was based on your own interpretation, therefore its speculation. The Cat Master (talk) 17:48, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

Lone Wanderer[edit source]

When someone reverts you, you do not just go back and revert them. You start a discussion as to why you believe the change should be made. The problem with your note is that it's not notable. You're listing a single game that a character doesn't get mentioned in. We do not do this. We don't mention that the Chosen One and Courier aren't mentioned in Fallout 4, because that would be pointless. We list what games they are mentioned in, and that's it. Paladin117>>iff bored; 18:55, October 5, 2016 (UTC)

Missing[edit source]

What pages are missing? Paladin117>>iff bored; 22:13, October 7, 2016 (UTC)

Re:Bloodworm[edit source]

That's not a citation. That's hearsay. And from what I've seen, Mongolian Death Worms are fictional entities. The bloodworms share their name with the real world type of worms and share physical charateristics with them. Great Mara (talk) 16:21, October 25, 2016 (UTC)

The Castle grammar[edit source]

You wrote: "Compared to it's real life counterpart the Castle and the island in which its sit on are much smaller than the real Fort Independence and Castle Island"

  • "to it's" should be to its. "Its" is possessive, and it's is short for it is, so the sentence would start all wrong there already.
  • should be a comma between counterpart and the Castle
  • "in which its sit on" isn't proper English/American grammar. You probably switched the s to go after "it" instead of "sit". Check what you wrote.
  • "than the real Fort Independence and Castle Island" is redundant. You already refer to it at the beginning of the sentence.

Plenty to note for improvement I should say. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:52, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

Try it on the Bethesda forum, ask Matt Grandstaff or one of his staff colleagues. Will be hard to get a response though I fear. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:48, October 26, 2016 (UTC)

Problem[edit source]

The edit on Washington Monument is speculation. And you're still making grammar mistakes, I need to check everything. A sentence needs to be started with a space after the full stop (and ended with a stop). Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:19, November 1, 2016 (UTC)

It's speculation. Although you could change it to a general comparison note, without the "quite possible that this was done on purpose". Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:25, November 1, 2016 (UTC)
Just now I see the note as it originally was, already states that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:27, November 1, 2016 (UTC)

Sole Survivor[edit source]

There's a difference between making spelling errors on a talkpage or summary comment, and one on a article page. Spelling error in a summary comment is for one person and disappears 50 edits later, an error on an article stays there to read for thousands of viewers. Quite a difference. Did you doublecheck what you wrote on the Sole Survivor page? I wouldn't think so. "Like the Lone Wander the Sole Survivor" It's the Lone Wanderer - careless. Also a comma should follow it for better flow of the sentence. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:29, November 3, 2016 (UTC)

I'll give you that last comment on my talkpage. I've been a bit hard maybe, still all justified I think. Maybe you should take a break for while. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:55, November 3, 2016 (UTC)
I can understand I was getting on your nerves, that's why I let that latest remark on my talkpage slide. I'm getting a better picture of you now with that explanation. We'll see where we go from here, should be improvement ahead I reckon. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:16, November 8, 2016 (UTC)

Re: Thank-you[edit source]

I appreciate the supportive comment, but I must be honest with you about one thing. Jspoel's basic issue with your recent edit was appropriate, given that the name is actually "Lone Wanderer". The issue, mind you, not the handling of it. I've actually wondered if you intended for your own userid to differ from the original name or if you simply had heard it as "Wander" because English is often spoken very lazily and such misunderstandings are common. At any rate, it's true that you should always check your references before updating the wiki (e.g. reproduce the bug you ran into, double-check the quote you're transcribing, or, in this case, check the spelling of an in-game name). No one's perfect; that's why even the people who know the game like a southern baptist knows a bible should be double-checking their changes.

That said, you're quite right that his handling of the issue was very poor. As you may have noticed, I have a bug up my behind about his terse-or-more-often-nonexistent change comments. I think it's inappropriate and a terrible example to others for him to be the main guy on a wiki and be silent 98% of the time, then dismissively rude to someone who meant to be a constructive contributor. You were not vandalizing, you just needed some guidance. I'm totally with you in that respect and I think you're entitled to be miffed. Felice Enellen (talk) 17:21, November 4, 2016 (UTC)

Vandalism[edit source]

I already blocked him. Only admins can delete pages, users without admin rights can't. They can only add a {{delete}} tag to the page and then an admin will delete it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:04, November 15, 2016 (UTC)

Re:Lucy Grandchester[edit source]

It is meant to represent Lucy at a younger age. Disappearing into walls and the Gunner mentioning hearing a girl's laughter. As it is, there are no other images either. Great Mara (talk) 20:20, November 21, 2016 (UTC)

Holy Frag Grenades[edit source]

It was already mentioned under Location. I added some clarification there. Happy Thanksgiving too. (we don't celebrate it in the Netherlands though. Here we have "Sinterklaas" on December, 5th.) Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 18:06, November 23, 2016 (UTC)

Vault-Boy images[edit source]

Why are you using non-transparant images when you can take them right from Category:Fallout 4 perk images, with transparancy? We don't need all that grey. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:28, November 29, 2016 (UTC)

I didn't tell you to stop, I suppose they can have their icon in the gallery. Just use the transparant ones. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:59, November 29, 2016 (UTC)

Sentient glowing one[edit source]

It's not worth a page. Try to fit it in on on Glowing one. Here's your text:

Biography[edit source]

Sentient Glowing Ones (non feral glowing ones ghouls) are a rare unique variety of sentient ghouls. Unlike their feral counterpart are able to keep some forms of consciousness. Glowing ones like Sun of Atom and Ethyl are non hostile to the player but have lost their ability to communicate and visually appear similar to their feral counterpart. Ghouls like Jason Bright and Oswald the Outrageous have managed to be able to keep their ability to communicate and not become feral. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 18:55, November 29, 2016 (UTC)

Settlers[edit source]

The reason why I put that, is because I was messing around in my castle settlement and I ran into a minuteman who had a dirty face and said "feel atoms glow" 15:28, December 9, 2016 (UTC) -Orwell

Gibson[edit source]

Well first, you failed to make any reference to the shotgun in your note which could've helped make your case. Second, it still sounds like a stretch given how common shotguns and the name 'Gibson' are. Heck, searching "Gibson shotgun" reveals that Gibson is the name of a brand of shotgun cigarette lighters. RE: Arthur Mason[edit source]

It seems like something of opinion, I have seen 20 year olds with large beards like his, an example is my step brother who has one of a similar size and thickness. LS11sVaultBoy (Talk) 15:02, December 9, 2016 (UTC)

Story[edit source]

Lachdog, born in 2256 Distance from Leonardtown to Washington-92.5km.

The tale of Lachdog

Before the war, his great, great, great Grandfather, Robert had a plan, he could tell, 10 years before the Great war had started that the world had a “uncertain”, so instead ordering a place of the “Vaults” by Vault-Tec (He worked for them) he knew the best outcome for himself and his family. He wanted to make his own Vault in his private residence at Leonardtown MD, with some of his friends that had relations to companies so that their technology would eventually help him after when the bombs drop.

Main Family Family 1: Hughes Family 2: Law Spanish Family 3: Rodriguez Family 4: Johnston
Male Robert, Liam, Quinten, Nicolas, Mark,
Female Linda, Laura, Catherine, Sofia, Elizabeth,
Child 1
Child 2
Child 3
Company Involved in: Vault-Tec, GNR RobCo, General Atomics, Nuka-Cola, Poseidon Energy, Heckler & Koch, Glock

The Vault is made to fit 50 people

Lachdog’s Character Smart from the vault’s technology, well spoken, cunning, funny, sneaky

Basically what he looks like in 2281

He has Blonde/brown hair, tanned skin, green eyes, at 21 he is 1.75m tall

Special at age 19: 3 4 3 4 4 6 5

          S P E C I A L

Items, wasteland armour Laser rifle, MP5, Pipboy 3000, backpack

Backstory/Part 1 Since the vault had many wealthy people it was quite luxurious place and with all of the main families that worked with the companies the Vault-Tec made the vault strong, GNR for the music so people do not go insane, RobCo for the PipBoy 3000s, General Atomics for the Mr. Handys, Nuka-Cola to remind for a treat in the future, the expensive Oil/Uranium from Poseidon Energy and finally, arguably the biggest help for the wasteland, Weapons and so they had weapons from Glock and Heckler & Koch.

100 years after the bomb, 10 out of the now 50 dwellers left the vault, with their goal to see how the wasteland is and build a settlement outside the residence so in the future (100 years time) they could exit to a thriving marketplace. In 2253, Lachdog’s Sister Sarah was born leaving to that moment, 2 spots left in the vault. In the year 2256 Lachdog was Born on August the 30 and Lachdog’s future girlfriend Charlotte Hughes was born two months later on the same day leaving no spaces left in the vault. He grew up to be an adventurous learner and sometimes snuck around the vault.

In 2264 His grandfather James died letting another baby to be born next year by the name Andrew and that boy was Lachdog’s younger brother. 5 years later in 2270 there was loud sounds coming from outside the vault the vault door the was exploded by raiders with guns blazing. Lachdog, now 14 gathered the 5 kids in the vault and took them to the armoury to run with the weapons the older got the more advance weapons like the laser rifles while fortunately Lachdog just got a “old” weapon from the last century, the Heckler & Koch MP5 which somehow still worked.

They escaped all well and fine excluding that 45-other people had died. On their way out they found a holotape in a shack outside the house from a dweller 60 years ago. He said “hey if anyone gets this in 90 years time come to Vegas, why? Because while being out here my skin has become hard and according to these traders I am a “ghoul” and that I can live forever so it was always my father’s dream to see Vegas’s lights so that is where one of your dwellers will be, Timothy signing off”. They were all fascinated by the story but they knew they had to escape, so they headed north-west to Washington D.C.

They stumbled by a newly restored place called Rivet City and even though the security was tough they let them in. They enjoyed listening to the newly reopened GNR. One day they decided to wander around the Capital but on the first day Sarah, Charlotte and Jimmy (Same age as Sarah, not related, from the vault) got taken by supermutans in the downtown area. This left Lachdog and Andrew to wander by himself. On one expedition, he walked in this old house expecting some toy cars and other junk but in a suitcase he found a note saying “I have designed a better prototype for the AER14 Laser rifle, I have here in this suitcase and this will be delivered October 25 2077 and should arrive to your “Vault 22” by the end of the month”. Lachdog thought this was excellent loot, and when he pulled it out he brother said “wow, it’s a Waser Wifle” so that’s what he called it. After that he was on his way to GNR to ask Three Dog “has anyone been saved from superman’s recently”? As luck would have it when he asked a Brotherhood patrol they said they recently saved 3 captives but they fled away.

Part 2 Fallout 3 occurs The Enclave was fought with and Lachdog Joined the Brotherhood of Steel’s Ranks but at the end of it he asked Elder Lyons if he could travel to the west coast the tell them about the east coast’s success (he really wanted to see if his 100 year old ghoul friend was still alive).

He travelled with his younger brother now at age 13 while Lachdog was 22. Crossing was terrifying for him and at some stages they had to pretend he were members of the Legion.

2281-Fallout New Vegas Starts Now both are official NCR Soldiers/citizens and they have travelled to the boneyard (San Francisco) and they are back in Vegas still looking for their ghoul Timothy

Extra part 3

If you want it to be set in fallout 4 time he would be 31 and his younger bro would be 22 and they would honed by the NCR for the second battle of Hoover Dam.

You can make up more characters if you want to ect.

Could you somehow give me the story when you are done?

ask if you want more info/ideas

Thank you for reporting this. On what pages did you encounter this? I will look into it. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 01:23, December 13, 2016 (UTC)

If you're encountering this on every page, you may want to look into an adware removal program such as AdwCleaner. SierraX (talk) 01:26, December 13, 2016 (UTC)
I can't find it anywhere, so I think SierraX will be right. I've helped out people that had adware issues before, I have good experience with https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HitmanPro https://www.hitmanpro.com/hmp.aspx . Deleting Comments[edit source]

As far as I know, blog posters cannot delete comments from the comment section. Only someone like Agent c or Jspoelstra (they have the ability to edit all pages, including user blogs) could help you with that. Let me know if this helps. Leea (talk) 13:22, December 15, 2016 (UTC)

Kellogg[edit source]

I replaced your icon for Kellogg. When you look at the others it's all transparant, which is the prefered format. Also, full stops are not needed for a gallery image comment; they're almost never sentences. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 15:38, January 9, 2017 (UTC)

Tina De Luca[edit source]

I just saw the note about Tina's settlement dialogue and I'm curious as to the thinking of placing it as a note rather than a bug, as I can see it being either. I would say bug as it is something that should exist and was possibly an oversight by the programmers when they were setting up the NPC and profiles. The only other note on the article also references a bug on the same vein so it does fit in. Sakaratte (talk) 19:59, January 9, 2017 (UTC)

Moustache[edit source]

Had a google for other sceenshots and you're right about the moustache of the Mysterious Stranger, sorry about that! Though I think we'll have to see about getting a cleared FO4 screenshot of him where his face isn't hidden in shadow as much :P --Litheen (talk) 19:28, January 11, 2017 (UTC)

Reverting edits without explanation[edit source]

Would you mind explaining why you keep reverting my edits to the FO4 Mirelurk page without even bothering to give a reason? Folks like you are why I feel less and less like contributing to this wiki by the day 'cause I can never be sure someone doesn't come along and deletes what I wrote just because. Sumatris (talk) 17:54, January 13, 2017 (UTC)

Re:Gunners[edit source]

So, in other words: a complete jump of speculation that has no business being entertained on the mainspace pages. There's is nothing written in terminal entries or items in Vault 75 to indicate that it is where the Gunners originate from. Great Mara (talk) 05:29, January 28, 2017 (UTC)

No, he gives speculation about the Gunners being from vaults solely because they managed to be inside them. As if there weren't other means of acquiring a Pip-Boy. Great Mara (talk) 21:19, January 28, 2017 (UTC)

I love your page and I just want you to know that. I see your comments everywhere and I really enjoy them. I looked through your page and I have to say that Nick was also my favorite companion nut Hancock was my favorite romance long with Piorter Gage from the Nuba-World expansion.

Trivia[edit source]

For your trivia of the week, if you want another piece of presidential triva related to assassinations, here's one:

Robert Lincoln is the person known to have the most connections to every assassinated president.

  • Son of assassinated President Abraham Lincoln.
  • Arrived at the train station just before Garfield was shot there.
  • Was at the Pan-American Exposition where McKinley was assassinated.
  • And is buried at Arlington National Cemetery near the grave of Kennedy.

Ok, wanderer, we of the community are concerned for you. Suicide is not the answer.
Killing your self will not help you it will only take you away from the ones who care, the Community. I myself am concerned for you even if we haven't met. Just take this in to consideration. Don't do it it would only make things worse. What I'm saying is that people care, no matter what you think.

I ask the same question as Winter Of December, is this real life, or something going on here and i do agree suicide doesn't solve problems. As I am particularly sad about, you "wrote" on your user page under your Fallout Characters, "Nobody cares at ALL," WHAT! For starts, I care, every time you edit your page, adding to your story about Anthony and recently about Kale, I gladly read to what you have added to it. Even when you asked for a story, I gave you a story, a fallout story, and from that point on wards I like to weave all of my characters in one world, all working together, and I would not have been able to have a strong backstory, without your post asking for a story, so thank you! Could you leave an edit summary next time explaining why you removed that Anon's edit? Like not a Cultural reference or doesn't fit here. RE: Preston Fatman Dislike[edit source]

As I said, I tested it thoughly. However, to remove all doubt I decided to run another series of tests. This time, no mods (not that any I run would have disabled this anyway). Started new game fresh, played up untill I got preston as a companion. Gave myself the fatman, walked outside of sanctuary, fired the fanman. No reaction. No comment, no "preston disliked that", nothing.

"Well, maybe just firing it at nothing doesn't count. You have to actually kill something with it" I can hear you argue. Okay, fair enough. I got A settlement quest for oberland station, and on my way there I killed EVERYTHING that was hostile to me in my path with the fatman. Killed bloatflies, killed mole rats, killed dogs, killed raiders, killed ferals, killed gunners, killed super mutants (made a detour just for that), etc. All the while keeping a close eye on the left side of my screen for any sort of message regarding preston disliking my very liberal usage of the fatman. However, no such message appeared EVER.

I didn't feel the need to actually complete the Oberland Station quest, because by this point I had used the fatman on just about every single hostile thing in the game sans deathclaws and synths, and after rigorous testing, I can safely say:

Myth Busted

The moral of the story? Next time, test this sort of thing before claiming it's true, please. Or else someone else will do it for you and call you out on it. --Rylasasin (talk) 19:06, October 20, 2017 (UTC)

Besides, it makes no sense anyway. Why would he dislike fatman usage while simultaneously loving it when you restore and use the artillery? --Rylasasin (talk) 19:23, October 20, 2017 (UTC)
