Hi, leave a message.

Scouts' Life

Where did you find that number 9? I couldn't find numbers on the magazines themselves, and used the numbers from the game assets (numbered texture files). Campfire: Special Edition has filename

Yes, can you upload a screenshot? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:07, December 18, 2018 (UTC)
I've noticed a lot of other issues are a september edition btw. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:10, December 18, 2018 (UTC)
You're right, it's issue nr. 9. It's s shame the console commands don't work anymore, otherwise I would've checked that long time ago. We'll have to do it the hard way. If you can find more that would be great. I'll change the page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:25, December 19, 2018 (UTC)
If you find any treasure maps by chance that would be nice to have too. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:29, December 19, 2018 (UTC)
About the treasure maps, the point is to know which map (number) image goes points to what location. What do you mean "Set for the pics of the other magazines"? We have all the magazine images, but of the Backwoodsman and Scouts' Life we still need to know what editor ID goes with what issue number. I can later on get better map images from the resource files by the way. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:55, December 19, 2018 (UTC)
We also still need lots of location images, so if you also can help there great. Also, an in-game lined up picture equal to the map would be nice to have. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:40, December 19, 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the location images! The pages are still plenty in need of them. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:33, December 21, 2018 (UTC)

Thank you! I don't think it's weird at all, I appreciate the compliment. Keep up the good work! AllYourFavorites! (talk) 00:09, December 18, 2018 (UTC)

Lucy Harwick's note

Say, how do you add the text to the note, like you just did with Lucy Harwick's note. Are you just typing what the note says? I have a tool which from which you can copy/past the text from notes so you don't have to type it anymore. I also use it to add the treasure maps with their map numbers. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:28, December 21, 2018 (UTC)

Here it is. It's a sort of mini Creation Kit. Contains a lot of data. You have to open the Fallout 76.esm file with it. Notes are under the <book> branch. You'll get the hang of it I think. I'm trying to find the transcripts for the holotapes as well, no luck so far. Maybe you can find them. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:51, December 21, 2018 (UTC)
Am also using to get all the keys. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:53, December 21, 2018 (UTC)

Treasure maps

You can place the small map in the top right corner of the location image. That way you only have one image. Example is on the Savage Divide treasure maps page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:18, December 23, 2018 (UTC)

Best newcomer

Hey! I wanted to inform you that even though you didn't win the best newcomer award in our Nukapedian of the Year competition due to your arrival only one month ago, the board has noticed your efforts and decided to give you an honorable mention. Congratulations! - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 17:55, January 1, 2019 (UTC)

You have been doing very impressive work. I have rarely seen an editor do better in their first month on the wiki and I'm sure that I wasn't anywhere near as good :). - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 12:49, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

That's weird, they don't match the numbers in the top right corner of the magazines. I'll see about updating the page. If you have more, I'll be glad to see them. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:05, January 2, 2019 (UTC)

Terminal entries

I have a program with (among other things) has all the dialogue from terminals, so you wouldn't have to type it but just copy/paste it. I use it do the same thing with the notes and holodisks. Interested? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:37, January 3, 2019 (UTC)

Oh, now I see I already sent you a link to a program. You can use that, or use a slightly better program [1]. You need to rename the .exe to Fo76Edit after it's been installed for it to work. I use that one for the holotapes. Contains tons of data. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:33, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Can you pinpoint the exact location of that mask note, maybe even a screenshot? Seems to be on top of that tower. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:27, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Hey, I just want to say that I am impressed with your contributions. Thanks a lot for adding FO76 images, getting images in the game is a fair bit more consuming than in the other games with it being online and whatnot. Great work, keep it up! -DisgustingWastelander (talk) 23:33, January 4, 2019 (UTC)

Yes to separate locations page

You are right that power armor locations should be on a single page, at least for the t-'s. If raider is on same page it should be in a separate list unless someone has seen raider & t- spawn at the same site. The armor pages could have a link rather than a list. It would also be easier to add a map. Excavator, X01, & Ultracite armors would not be affected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lakewalker (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Note from Dave

I saw you created the Note from Dave page yesterday. Where did you see the note? When I look in the game files, I don't see it actually being placed in the world anywhere.

You've been active on the wiki for over a month and your contributions so far have been exquisite. The wiki needs active patrollers and I'm wondering if you are interested in becoming one. In case you don't know, patrollers gain the ability to patrol edits, checking edits to see if they are correct or not. It's not a very big deal, but it's always good to have some extra eyes on the patrol log. DisgustingWastelander (talk) 23:33, January 11, 2019 (UTC)

Patrolling edits is pretty much just checking if the spelling and formatting is correct. And of course whether or not it is vandalism. I'll give you patroller rights. If you go to Recent changes and choose the "hide patrolled edits" option, you'll see only unpatrolled edits. These have a red exclamation mark next to them. Simply click on "diff" and there will be a "mark as patrolled" button on the page. DisgustingWastelander (talk) 11:02, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

Big Bend tunnel

Do you know where Cominsky's code and Holstein's code (and Cominsky and Holstein) are? I think inside the tunnel but it may be west or east. Allemane's code is on his corpse in west. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:53, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

I've updated the maps, and also some other nearby map markers. Can you by any chance upload images of Cominsky, Allemane and Holstein? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:03, February 3, 2019 (UTC)

Bailey family cabin

I had two other sources where it was written Beaily, but we'll go by your map marker then. (Not been there myself yet.) Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:17, February 5, 2019 (UTC)

Cleaning up edits

Thanks ever so much for cleaning up my edits and putting them in proper wiki form. Also it really made me feel good to see my image promoted to the main image on the fissure sites page. Of course, now I'll have to see if I can get a picture of fissure site Omicron for the gallery. I was there but the scorchbeast was kicking my butt. Hmm, maybe with some stealth boys.... Lakewalker (talk) 08:00, February 15, 2019 (UTC)

New power armor location

Good find! I was thinking that we may have found all of the power armor spawn sites but this one hid for a long time (unless it was added with the February patch). I visited the Converted Munitions Factory and added an image of the armor there. Lakewalker (talk) 06:34, March 20, 2019 (UTC)

Following the pipe symbol is a space. That space is now the sorting character that makes the page go at the top of the category, overwriting the F sorting. You can see in Category:Fallout 76 ammunition. It's the first entry now, otherwise it'd be sorted with F. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 12:40, March 30, 2019 (UTC)

Fallout 76 plans

Sure, you can add an extra column for quest reward. Also for the recipes. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:47, April 9, 2019 (UTC)

Thunder Mountain workshop

I would recommend adding a link that says "For the workshop, see Thunder mountain power plant yard". Even though there are two icons on the map, most players are probably unaware that they are separate locations. Googling "thunder mountain workshop", this page is listed second after a Reddit rant. The power plant yard page doesn't make the cut in a Google search. --Lakewalker (talk) 16:28, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

Hey! Congratulations on your new function! Sorry that I didn't manage to vote in time, I had been abroad for work for some time. Anyway, I'm very happy to see that it worked out. You're one of the most promising users I have seen around here, keep it up! And as has been said before; Next stop - Admin! :D - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 07:22, April 23, 2019 (UTC)

Well, I just made a call that it should be decapped. You can revert that if you wish to. ☢ Energy X ☣ 18:56, April 29, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for the assist.

Wow, you're quick. I saw that I had put in a bad link. I hit edit and it was already fixed! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Lakewalker (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Deletions and page protections

I know this night be a bit of an odd request, but will you be in and out of the wiki today? I've been clearing up some of my old projects and fixing up some bits and pieces and might need a couple of pages deleting or protections temporarily removing from templates. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 06:47, June 7, 2019 (UTC)

Sleep, now that would be novelty for me. I'll see what I can get done in 6 hours, otherwise AYF is probably going to get fed up of me making requests to him, bless. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 06:53, June 7, 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, first request, can you lower the protection on Template:Abb to autoconfirmed for me? I've been meaning to work on that collection of templates for a while now. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:10, June 7, 2019 (UTC)
You're a star, thanks for that (hopefully I can get it running a bit smoother now). Before I forget again, can you kill Module:Platforms for me? The code got integrated into Module:Icons and I forgot to kill it when I had the power to kill it. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:29, June 7, 2019 (UTC)
There are certainly a lot of pages most people will never see, even I've barely scratched the surface of the MediaWiki: namespace, but the common ones like the CSS and JS pages I know pretty well. If you have a mind for programming or html/JS the Module: one can be pretty handy (I've moved a few templates into there over the last 12 months and made some new ones in it) to add extra control to how templates handle. Until yesterday the bug and maintenance templates would categorize everything, now they only categorize the article space. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 07:56, June 7, 2019 (UTC)
Sorry, I'd nipped out before your message came in. I get the feeling I'll probably be working on the same bit of code I am now when you wake up. Proving to be a little more problematic that I expected. You have a good night :) Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 12:36, June 7, 2019 (UTC)

Jackie has all but retired from Fandom now a days, based my last chat with him a few weeks ago. If you want I can ask him on Discord/Skype is he doesn't come back to you? Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:06, July 3, 2019 (UTC)
