On the Jack (Great Khans) and Diane page the song reference keeps getting removed but it seems to be present here: Fallout: New Vegas cultural references#John Mellencamp. Remove it? Great Mara 04:30, June 7, 2011 (UTC)
I dont know how to make my own thing so ill do it here. Why cant we post what weapons in game are similar to weapons in real life? whats the point? I think its interesting to learn that that gun actually exists, obviously most do. Service Rifle is just like the AR-15, .45 submachine gun is a thompson, also looks like a ppsh-41 with the expanded drums mod,and This Machine is an M1 Garand. The 12.7 mm submachine gun looks sorta like a P90 and in Fallout 3, the chinese assault rifle is an AK with a different stock. Hows that? -Pacman2789
Why'd you revert my edit? It's true and interesting to note. Trolly Polly Olly 00:30, June 8, 2011 (UTC)
Admin discussion[edit source]
I created the following Forum:Discussion - Admin responsibility definition in response to the calls in Tag reconfirmation. I would greatly appreciate your opinion. Thanks.--Kingclyde 22:35, June 9, 2011 (UTC)
I think I may have found a website that would allow us figure out what's pure speculation and what isn't. J.E. Sawyer has an account on Formspring (here) and answers questions of all natures but particularly ones RPG related. Could you take a look at it and see it's a legitimate source so we can finally get some "Behind the scenes" confirmation on things like This Machine = M1 Garand, .45 Auto submachine gun = Thompson, cazadors = Tarantula hawk, etc.? Kastera (talk) 02:23, June 11, 2011 (UTC)
You have a point but Mantes is acceptable because Mantis is greek and the plural has an -es ending. kevobk 01:15, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
Mantises, Mantes, and Mantids[edit source]
Are actually three accepted forms for a plural of Mantis. However, I looked after Kvobk made that edit and was unable to determine whether or not one words was more predominant in certain regions of the world or not. Hence why I left it as it was.
Aside from that, I have a question. The Archive option isn't appearing in the drop-down section when I try to get to it on my talk page. Great Mara 01:16, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
Granted it may be more common but this doesn't always mean right, more than anything I just wanted to prove that they could both be used correctly (and I have). The preference is more my own belief as the word is taken directly from Greek, mantis meaning prophet, with the Greek plural as mantes or μαντες. -- 01:31, June 13, 2011 (UTC)
Agreed, that is strange. And as for wikipedia, it suffers from the same weaknesses as anything in the format of a wiki - human error. It is by nobodies estimation a definitive source. -- 02:05, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

No offense taken[edit source]
I know there's generally some deabte of Mara's gender in the Buddhist myth, but I mostly take my name from the running gag in the Shin Megami Tensei series. Mara is usually depicted as a giant penis riding in a chariot. A play on words since Mara in Japanese is slang for a guys anatomy. Great Mara 02:50, June 13, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Picture of House[edit source]
I always thought it was as he owned RobCo and that was the company that built Liberty Prime. I believe you were wrong to delete my edit of Liberty Prime for the following reasons: 1 - Robert House founded RoCo Industries. 2 - On the RobCo Industries wiki page it clearly lists Liberty Prime as one of its creations. 3- If RobCo built Liberty Prime then the Picture of House standing in front of the Robot legs is surely Liberty Prime and not some other giant robot. I only followed the evidence as laid out in game and here on the wiki. Canon confirmation would be required by the developers.

Hello my friend ;)
I don't agree and please discuss before make decisions alone on something who was already chosen by The Vault several years ago.
"Pure" and "Non-pure" human definition are part of the background of Fallout since Fallout 2 and should be respected like any other part of the Fallout universe. All this was chosen long ago in early age of The Vault, and also allow an understanding of why and how the objective of the Enclave. If something must be change, it's not for us to decide on this one but Ausir.
In fact, only you have act pragmatically, I only follow the policy established in The Vault with "pure" and "non-pure" already used in The Vault. If you wanted to act properly, you first start to come talk to me and then we will have a proper discussion.
Also, it's not only the opinion of a few NPCs, it's a fact show in Fallout 3 when the modified FEV of President Eden are put into the Project Purity. Also Eden is an artificial intelligence, not a human, its opinion is much more neutral than Richardson. What do you want for other evidence? A detailed map of the DNA change?
Anyway, it is not for you to decide for the infobox, it will be the community decision. So why the cyborg designation is put in the infobox, since it's not a option of choice? The infobox is a part of background and gameplay information, not only gameplay information, like I already say to you, gameplay and background have the same importance. Waiting for the discussion, nice evening and see soon. Itachou [~talk~] 17:31, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
Toshiro Kago page[edit source]
Also, please don't remove background information about character. The Vault is not a wiki only on gameplay but also on background, allowing it to grow and become as important as it is now. Background have the same importance of gameplay here.
The samurai background is for give depth and understanding of Toshiro, embellishing correctly the background section and since he is the last samurai in the Fallout universe, it's therefore specific to himself (like Paulson for cowboy). Two other admins, Kris and Ghost have seen the page and found nothing to complain. Itachou [~talk~] 12:53, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
I can do it if you want ;). I'm not the kind of person who will wait you have to turn back for put what I want on The Vault. I prefer to show things and see what happens and what can be done for the good of The Vault. If you don't mind I do the re-write in 30 minutes for Paulson, it's like you want, if it's ok, please take a look later to see if it suits you =). Itachou [~talk~] 18:20, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
I re-write and add the explication for the wood sorel mon on his okegawa dô, since he used a mon was not used during this period by any clan, will be confusing some people I think of why he have it since the samurai class was allowed to used mon. Also, it's a proof that he was abducted during the Tokugawa shogunate and not before ;). Itachou [~talk~] 21:54, July 10, 2011 (UTC)
Video usage policy[edit source]
Posted to my talk page on March the 9th, i never seem to check my talk page however :( "Please see our video policy. The video you have added several times to the ranch page does not fit our standards of use.--Gothemasticator 16:03, March 9, 2011 (UTC)" Hardly "several times". I added the video to the page once, and then a user removed it without reason, to which i responded by replacing the video on the page and leaving a reason as to why i felt it was necessary. "Embedded videos may only be used in articles if they illustrate issues which cannot be expressed by written text at all or only with difficulty. Examples for acceptable videos are game trailers or a video illustrating how to find an item which is in a hard-to-find location." The video was of the "wind brahmin" encounter at Brook's Tumbleweed Ranch. I felt the video was worth having on the page since it was a special encounter which is rather hard to not only describe exactly how it triggers, but also to describe exactly what happens. -EllEzDee 22:41, July 11, 2011 (UTC)
This is Gauzz Rifle, using I.P. Why did you block me when I posted a joke? I forgot to put the joke statement on the user's talk page. By the way, I have to finish my block time and after my block time, please explain why "angry people" affect such gaming? --18.104.22.168 00:59, July 17, 2011 (UTC)
Silus Treatment[edit source]
A user keeps reverting my note change even though in the talk page discussion I started explaining the change, I give the exact line spoken by Caesar. He clearly says he is pleased by the players actions, though he isn't happy with Silus for surrendering and will have him punished for it. The conversation to me implies that no harm was done and Caesar is happy to be able to punish Silus without simply having him killed. Mictlantecuhtli 04:32, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

F.Y.I. Just because Christmas is known of outside of Christianity doesn't take away the fact that a reference to Christmas is a reference to Christianity. Thank you for your response. It did not include any hard facts, however, just your opinion, (and we all know what opinions are like...we all have one). We asked for documentation to back up your assertions, you gave us none, quite a disappointment. Wearing a cross as jewelry is quite different from having one as a grave marker, not something many non-Christians do. After further analysis, we did decide the note about the Stealth suit MK II was, in fact not correct. Not because of your opinion, but because the Stealth suit MK II, like the Yangtze memorial, was made before the bombs dropped. We are still awaiting your hard evidence...DarthOrc 04:06, August 18, 2011 (UTC)DarthOrc

Soviet Union[edit source]
Do I really have to give you a detailed rundown of atrocities commited by the Soviet regime, dwarfing those commited by the Third Reich by several magnitudes? How about the Ukrainian famine? The Katyń mass executions? The Great Purge? By forbidding Nazi symbols, but allowing Soviet ones, we create double standards. Worse, we end a message that killing more people than the Nazis ever did is ok for the Vault, as long as you have a better PR department. Tagaziel (call!) 22:04, August 22, 2011 (UTC)

Re: Cultural refs[edit source]
Mayor Cobb: I honestly think that's not a reference, too vague.
Brain's Best Friend: That one could go either way, I have no clue if it's a coincidence or not. I haven't seen the movie, so I wouldn't know.
Manhunt 2: The only difference between Leo Kasper and Leo from Lily is that the latter doesn't physically take over Lily's body. In the game, Daniel Lamb (Manhunt 2's Lily, essentially) has to fight for control, as Lily has to take Medicine.
Titan A.E.: It's almost word for word what they said in the movie, adjusted for the game.
Xbox Achievements: The specific culture it's referring to is gamer culture, which achievements are gained for watching the credits and usually unlocking a new cutscene.
Dude, with all due respect, you need to keep a more open mind. Jackass2009 19:19, September 4, 2011 (UTC)
Why not? I mean, the endings have a special article. There is no point in duplicating, especially since we don't know the canonical end. --Maiar 15:09, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
yeah, I have seen the edit and talk page. I am going to let it rattle around in my grey matter a little bit. As for Flowers, it was just a nagging feeling to begin with and others also commented on it as well. That was until those topics where posted. This is because I have had this discussion about real world vs Fallout world and what should and shouldn't be included in a page, many times other than those posted. The thing that strikes me is the fact that those discussions that Flowers was not aware of, where not posted. But all the discussions with Flowers, under both account names, for the same type of discussion, where posted. Which leads me to only two conclusions, it is either Flowers or someone who is a avid follower of them and knows there alt accounts as well. But like you, I have not found any other real evidence. 15:20, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
I have corrected it, you actually need to put section tags in the page you are transcluding from. Unfortunately it doesn't transclude from the section title. It only transclude the infomartion contained between the <section begin="name you want to call the section" /> and <section end="name you want to call the section" /> tags. 15:31, September 8, 2011 (UTC)
Categorization Format[edit source]
Hey Goth. Recently I've been re-categorizing some of the Fallout: New Vegas locations. In each location category I have been making subcategories such as 'Location characters' or 'Location Buildings', and putting whatever fits into each category. However, I have found a few locations where this format doesn't work (Notably Camp Guardian), because they don't have buildings, they have caves and other areas, etc. Should I just classify them as 'Camp Guardian Locations' or as 'Camp Guardian Buildings' just to be consistent with format? Just a quick question... One of the edits that has been bothering me: "Festus is latin for 'festive, joyful, or merry', an apt description of Festus himself." I've noticed quite a few edits like this and in an arguement with AFollower, he mentioned that this has already been approved. He didn't mention who approved, so I wasn't sure who to ask. Butch DeLoria[edit source]
I figured I should ask an Admin before trying to remove this again. * "In the start of a battle Butch may shout "Sit on it!" and due to his relative look to "The Fonz" from the show "Happy Days" it can be considered a reference." Seems a little too speculative in my opinion. Skål! 10:28, September 11, 2011 (UTC)
These are just guidelines for usual cases. Blocks and their duration are generally up to the discretion of The Vault's administrators.
If it helps it has only been a couple of the last few, and these were only when I deemed it appropriate. I was also following a similar practice I had seen used by someone else. -- 00:31, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Insults in chat and some other stuff[edit source]
I have the names of users who trolled at me yesterday in chat, saying that I am a terrible writer, and an admin will block me for being like Tezzla Cannon and removing my adminship on another wiki.
I was there at the time. EB also took part too I think. They were slandering Gauzz and Cartman!, an administrator, even called him a cunt. If you can get a chat log of yesterday afternoon and evening, you will see the incident and insults said. RehabReject 10:59, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
I see User:RehabReject is really the troll. he's been starting things, this time, administrator slandering a user. No such blaming to the list of users taken as a offense. --Gauzz Rifle ( talk · contribs) 13:00, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
This is the beginning of the story. I have asked Rehab why Nemesis removed my adminship on his wiki. Rehab said he wants to annoy me. Then, the story of the trolling has begun. Chat conspiracy, admin rants, all of those begun. He used Cartman, and Cartman was clearly logged in and inactive in chat. I have made my mistake. Nemesis removed my adminship on his wiki for a reason. Give me a block for blaming other users. --Gauzz Rifle ( talk · contribs) 13:22, September 12, 2011 (UTC)

Do Explain[edit source]
Do explain what justified a 1-week ban. 126.96.36.199 21:07, September 12, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, after seeing everything on that alt account, plus the various message left to me on other Wikia wikis for extending the ban, it was for defiantly the best. What surprises me, is that an Admin is capable of such actions, especially a long establish one at that.
As for Gauss, yeah that was another big mess to clear. Seems I was baptism by fire, lolz. Just one last thing, do you think you will be around to make the verdict on the Mod votes. It doesn't feel right to me to make that verdict (even obvious one), when I also voted on them. 20:48, September 13, 2011 (UTC)
Regarding Luck's block[edit source]
If this is over the 'Purebred' and 'master race' comments I'd like to point out 2 things. Firstly the Purebred statement refered to horses themselves, secondly the PC Master race thing was a joke refering to how PCs are better than consoles due to their upgradability, neither of these was targeted as a racist comment, and many other users did not see these as racist either and I feel this makes the block unfair as no warning was issued over the comments which were controversial at best. - Crazy Sam10 Talk Poll 15:41, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Luckmann didn't mean anything remotely racist, and assuming that he did is a poor display of administrative behaviour. It is imperative you remove the indefinite ban on him. What technicality will you catch him on next? That his Rarity avatar has a hat which remotely resembles a Nazi officer cap? Time to get real, as Sam said above you looked far too deeply into what he said, however whether you did this as an attempt to find something to ban him on, or just a misjudgment is yet to be revealed. I'm going to expect that you've just misjudged the situation, in which case you should issue an unban and apologise to Luckmann. --Callofduty4 17:12, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
I have to support this ban. His beliefs are shown clear throughout his speeches and videos and he challenges authority to point out these beliefs while leaving subtle meanings where he thinks he can avoid retribution. It seems to me that he likes to push buttons to see what sort of reactions he can stir up. Skål! 17:21, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Why is Luckmann being banned anyway? Unless a wide array of people complain and he doesn't show his views everywhere in a bad manner, he's fine. The British Empire have done two millennia of raping lands, torturing innocents, slave trade triangle, and imperial conquests. Does that mean we should ban all British flags? And arguably the US have done crimes against the Middle East, Vietnam, etc. Should we ban US flags too because of that?
I also noticed while I was an anon, you said that people can use Spetsnaz flags however, who have done things equally bad as Nazism. You can't just say one thing is okay and that everything else isn't. You can't just use one size fits all. Undead Hat 19:08, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
Firstly, there's nothing wrong with calling himself "aryan" it may be commanly used with racisum yes, but the word it's self is just a description also, 'pre breed' is also, strickly speaking not wrong either as both blonde hair and blue eyes are the weaker genes they're most likely (statistically) that someone with blue eyes had atleat one blue eyed parent, meaning there has been less of a gene mix with people with differnet colour eyes. Seeing as a pure bread is just the same race having been bread, there's nothing actually wrong with calling something "pure bread". If he was to say it made him better than people who were, for example, black then yes that is racist. But a description of what he is isnt racist. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 19:06, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
I'm sure no one appreciates your ignorant banter. He has been given a lot more chances then most, and has been given a lot of wriggle room. You speak as if you know him personally and have witnessed every moment of trouble that he has given this site (Or the other way around). I'm not necessarily defending the point that he was being truly racist under this recent incident, but he hasn't given anyone the benefit of the doubt either. Skål! 20:55, September 14, 2011 (UTC)
I do not wish to insight any anger or anything here but I have to stick up for Luckmann. After speaking with numerous people it has become clear that nobody has been offended by him, rather we actually like him as a user. I do accept that he has been given warnings before but I disagree that you blame him for flouting his views around. Not once has Luckmann's political or any other views come across in a conversation, he is polite and always a pleasure to talk to. He will be sorely missed by many. Most people don't even care, he didn't bait people into political debate, he didn't force his views upon anyone etc. I agree with things that have been said that (again I understand that he has been given numerous warnings) it is unfair to target Luckmann when there are, I am sure, other users with questionable content upon their pages. And even if you did see what was written as racist, it was a joke. How many people can you find in this world that hasn't told an offesive joke? There will be few. If we set out to censor the whole world so that nobody was offended it would be a dull place indeed. We can't do it, there is no pleasing everyone so we just have to get on with it. There are stigmas and stereotypes attached to everything these days. Would you ban a user that was constantly telling women to "get back in the kitchen and make me a sammich"? Even if the female laughed it off and didn't care? If she replied in kind? If the society as a whole has no issue with it then why find issue? I have seen numerous times on this Wiki power being abused for the holders own gain, it seems as if because there was bad blood between yourselves and Luckmann you have had your vision clouded by a red mist. A year is a hell of a long time for a joke. Anyway, I have said my piece and I hope you respect what I have said. I can guarentee if you speak with other users they will back me up on the whole issue of Luckmann being a great guy and never forcing things down other users throats. Please keep this in mind, I miss him dearly Miss Nicolletalk 01:24, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
A sincere apology[edit source]
I was banned yesterday for calling you "Gothicmasturbator" on chat. This was a complete and utter innocent mistake on my part and I accepted my ban as I can see why it would cause offence. I thought I would apologise to you for what was said, it was in no way intentional, I misread your name and honestly thought that is what it was. Again, you have my sincerest and deepest apologies. I hope I didn't cause too much offence with my mistake. Miss Nicolletalk 02:28, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
Ah right, I see :) Thank you for accepting my apology ^_^ It was an honest mistake, I would never do that on a purpose as there is no reason to. Some people thought it was due to being mad about Lucky but it wasn't, I was just silly and didn't read it right XD Ah well, now I know :) Miss Nicolletalk 03:02, September 16, 2011 (UTC)
You may wish to also include this. 10:01, September 16, 2011 (UTC)

Whitely page deletion[edit source]
Sorry, the info was on the talk page, and it has a merge tag (as well as a deletion tag). The Whitely page need to be deleted, as it has since been proven that Whitley is the character's name, and WhitELY was a typo. I moved all relevant information, but the rest is erroneous. Thus, the Whitely page should be deleted whenever someone gets a chance. Sorry about the confusion. The Milkman 02:23, September 24, 2011 (UTC)

I have noticed the messages to others and after reviewing the policy, I to am in violation of the policy, in both width and quantity. As I view it, the policy purpose is there to prevent obtrusive sigs that also affect the text around it, so I can understand the high restraint, but I feel the other 2 are a bit to restrictive in this nature (especially when others can extend there sig width with ASCII art either side, without violating policy). Personally, I don't think that my sig violates the general principle of the policy, only the specific requirements later stated in the policy. This is why I am messaging you, as my view is somewhat biased on the subject since it also effects me directly. So I was wondering if there is a way to relax those specific requirements or up them, without the hassle of going through the process of forums, voting etc. But, if I need to set an example I will do. 18:28, September 24, 2011 (UTC)
Hello Gothemasticator ;)
All image of characters without their helmet, mask, hat etc. are always in the extra field of the infobox, like Lanius, Salt-Upon-Wounds or Ishmael Ashur. I will try to take a GECK render of his face without his mask, it's better for the infobox than an in-game image. Itachou [~talk~] 02:16, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
removing edits[edit source]
and its been done to death for a reason....because clearly many other people before me think it is one and you have nothing no reason and no fallout wiki precedence based on what i've seen of every single other article to back up how it isn't. Thus, the hidden editing instructions. not even attempting to state why it isn't beyond brute force is what gets you to this point. just as easily as leaving a note would have been explaining how you're right.Arbys
RE: Achievements[edit source]
Sorry, i just added another batch before reading this, i'll stop now : embarrassed:
RE: Transcripts[edit source]
I added one link and one blog post. Is that cluttering the articles?
I asked to be included in the references, not to have the writing attributed to me. There is a difference. I've done a lot of work to collect these transcripts and would like to contribute to the Wiki, but I do want the credit for the time I've spent doing it.
I don't plan to personally add every transcript I've collected to the Wiki, but I wanted to offer them up so that anyone could post them. But if someone else is posting them, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that a link to my site be included. AFAIK, there is no other source for Lonesome Road dialogue transcripts on line at this time, and I thought making them public here might be helpful.
I didn't mean to offend or overstep. I have been a long-time user of the Wiki (never created a user account 'til recently, but have been using it without registering for years) and wanted to give back. I am new to the editing side of things, maybe you can educate me on the proper way to contribute.
--Jayelle 15:03, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. To clarify, I have no problem with not linking to the site when I make an update. I posted my request with my blog post in order to avoid having people copy and paste transcripts from my blog and claim the credit for transcribing them. I haven't uploaded many of the transcripts because I have not been sure to what extent they are wanted or needed here, but thought it possible that someone else might find them and include them here without my knowledge. Certainly if someone else takes the time to re-transcribe the same dialogue, that person should claim credit for that work.
I don't claim authorship of the in-game content, and I state this clearly on every page of my blog. I only want to receive credit for taking the time to make them available to anyone who wishes to see them in an out-of-game format, just as anyone who posts gameplay or cutscene videos on YouTube would not want someone else to re-upload those same videos under a different username.
By way of explanation -- not excuse -- I come from an academic background, and when I was in graduate school, we were taught that if come across a quote from a primary source, you cite the secondary source where you found it, not the original source itself, unless you subsequently traveled to the location of that primary source and saw it with your own eyes. In other words, if I read a letter from Eleanor Roosevelt to her husband that is reprinted in a Roosevelt biography, I have to cite the author of the biography, not the letter itself. This protects historians and writers who take the time to do original research and holds us to a higher standard of academic honesty.
My error was applying this standard of research citation to this Wiki, but I hope you understand where I'm coming from. In my field, attribution of secondary research is essential, hence my prejudice towards attempting to protect my research works. So, to ask directly -- how much of my transcription would be appropriate to include here in the Wiki, if any? And where should it be included -- on the page of the character who said it, or the character about whom it was written?
Thanks. --Jayelle 18:19, September 25, 2011 (UTC)
Hello Gothemasticator =)!
I agree for gameplay page to not add too much information out-game but actually wakizashi appears in the Fallout series and Katana page is a background page, so I think it's good to notify that for the reader, it's not because it's impossible to do in-game that doesn't exist, limitation of the game engine should not be taken into account for background information. He or it[edit source]
The other places on the page all referred to Mr Gutsy as it, and, unlike ships and planes, there is no tradition of assigning gender to robots, at least in English. So we changed it. No big deal, either way. As an aside, should it be Mr. Gutsys or Mr. Gutsies? (It seems to us it should be Mr. Gutsys.)DarthOrc 03:27, September 30, 2011 (UTC)DarthOrc
Hi Goth. I was wondering if it would be wise to alter the policy (you not me) to remove the one image only part. Many of us have two images: one for the user page, one for talk. This includes notables such as Cartman!, GhostAvatar, myself (not that I consider myself notable) and various others. As no-one, not even you guys at the very top object, would it not be possible to remove that clause? I don't think there is much harm in having two images. Anyway, thanks for your time :).
Thanks for the heads up.[edit source]
Thanks for that, I understand we shouldn't give people strategies, but maybe we can rephrase it into something less strategical like "Having Friend of the Night while using the red vision creates a bright monochrome effect." would that be acceptable? I'm not trying to tell people to do it, I just wanted people to know what happens and if they like it cool, if not, then now they know why it happens. --Felix Brehh 03:10, October 5, 2011 (UTC)
Sorry, brah. It was a pic of the person who posted it, I figured I'd comment on the individual herself. Didn't mean it to be taken in a 'wrong' way. Oh, also, I don't think you need to worry about the guy leaving that comment on my page. I'm not entirely convinced he's being serious. CreedOfHeresy 16:18, October 6, 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I'm just leaving you a message to why the "Strategy" Section I added to Caravan was removed. I believe this to be useful information that show people how to beat the mini-game. (It also shows failing in the mini-games design).
Awaiting your reply InfiniteParadox
Would you look at Calvert (Brain), please?[edit source]
I believe I removed some "this is how I do it" strategy from Calvert (brain) (diff here: ). If you have a minute, would you take a quick look and either bless it or revert it? Please drop any replies here; I'll be watching the page for a while.
Against All Tyrants[edit source]
So what's the point of having a page if there is no help anywhere on HOW to complete the challenge? Quests have the walkthroughs, but challenges don't? The editing policy doesn't talk about challenges, so I'm just extrapolating here. If the page is going to be a HELP, it should be more than just dry collection of facts.--Soma4themass 04:04, October 13, 2011 (UTC)
Dr. Strangelove[edit source]
I'm new here, so I just wanted to clarify something. When you said there needs to be a visual reference rather than thematic, does that go for all articles or just cultural references pertinent to specific games? I really just added that reference because it was something I found interesting coincidentally rather than because it was pertinent to F3. Just wanted to check, I don't want to be adding superfluous material that people constantly have to clean up, I had a similar problem with streamlining on another page. Thanks!Heirofgonzo 17:32, October 14, 2011 (UTC)

Just remember that, hacking you can be a pleasure, but I was helping you at the same time. It is a shame I have to do this, after all, you were the first wikia i found in Jan. Block me all you want cuz i got a proxy.

Anonymous user[edit source]
I have to admit I tend to be bias when it comes down to speculation/references. My OCD tends to act up when I see something that hasn't been confirmed and just seems like someone's over-active imagination going to work. (To my knowledge at least). I'll try and not to be so hasty in future contributions when dealing with such things. Skål! 02:42, October 24, 2011 (UTC)
Of course, I apologise. Just pointing out that this isn't the kind of Wiki where the admins are "worth" other users or considered to be ranking higher. I'll mind my manners :3 Hugs "Say 'ello to my little friend!"
I've deleted the comment because it was disrespectful bile directed against Tim Cain, with no prior research done. It fit the definition of trolling to the letter. Tagaziel (call!) 17:45, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
Tagaziel's case[edit source]
Well, where do I begin?
I've been around for a few months now, and regulary noticed the deleting of some comments that seemed unjustified to me, and usually to some of the people involved in the "debate", mostly harsh arguments between people that liked and didn't like Fallout 3, or criticism toward the first games. While until this day I could only have doubts regarding the admin's identity, it seems now rather obvious that Tagaziel is heavily implied.
Here are the last of my comments that were deleted: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Special:DeletedContributions/Elakin
Now I know it's probably not the first time someone complains about such behavior, but it shouldn't happen. It is neither his role nor his right to delete something because he himself dislikes it.
Elakin 18:11, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
“"Who cares, really? What did this guy do since FO1? Nothing but failures. 15 years of nothingness, and yet he's still praised by some as a "genius".”
“" As for Fallout, he started making it in 1994, all by himself, writing the code all alone, until people like Leo, MCA and Taylor joined up to help him with this mastermind project of his. "
Yes, started. Until a hundred people arrived to do the job. As for the MMO, I didn't ay anything about it, since I'm commenting on the games that were released but you're free to say crap if you want. Also, I'm uneducated because I'm not a fanboy drooling all around the place when he hears the name of a guy who made some more or less "good" games? Thanks for the info. As for the players score, don't make me laugh. The opinion of a completely unprofessional, subjective fan is worthless, and that's what most people who played his games are.”
Comment deletions[edit source]
If you really checked the deletion log, you'd notice that I've deleted about... 14 comments in the past week, 2 per day. It's not my fault that the system is deleting child comments, instead of making the first reply a new parent comment. Your statement about me deleting comments too liberally is baseless. Tagaziel (call!) 19:28, October 27, 2011 (UTC)
Why did you remove my edit on the Allistair Tenpenny page? I think it is worth noting that he is one of the most evil characters in Fallout 3. And at the very least, it should be worth noting that you get positive karma for killing him.

I just wanted to make sure you knew, I restored my file that showed up in the notes. The reason for this was that I took into account that Light touch adds a flat 5% to the weapons critical rate, meaning that a Minigun (Fallout: New Vegas) would get a flat 5% bonus per bullet. That is much highter than normal, and the Shoulder mounted machine gun normally doesn't get critical hits, but this pers ensures a 5% critical hit chance per bullet.
Bye Goth, I wish you luck in all your new ventures :). Come back to say hi when Fallout 4 comes out, okay? Who will look after your brother's awesome picture now?! See you Gothemasticator, and good luck.
Farewell, Gothemasticator. It was good to have such a bureaucrat in the Vault. We will remember you and if you'll decide to return, we'll be happy to see you again. Good luck! veryblackraven 23:32, November 19, 2011 (UTC)
New policy on inactive admins[edit source]
This is a friendly notice to inform you of a recent policy change here at Nukapedia. We have enacted a policy concerning all inactive admins/mods/chat mods who have not edited here in over 9 months. As your most recent edit was on November 7, 2011, you are one of the those who fits that criteria. We felt it important to get in touch with you to give you the opportunity to again become an active contributing editor and member of the Nukapedia community, whilst retaining your user rights. Please respond on my talk page, otherwise, if we do not hear back from you by October 16th, as well as see an increased presence on the wiki, your extra user rights will be removed. You will have the opportunity to respond to a bureaucrat to request them back at any point after becoming edit active for at least one month and show an active desire to make continued contributions again on Nukapedia. Thank you for your time.--Kingclyde (talk) 06:05, October 3, 2012 (UTC)
