I’m on hiatus! You can contact me here. Take care!
Hello, Bowndarrow, we are glad you have joined the Fallout Wiki!
Good job on those Vault Academy quizzes. I also like your signature, it is cute. Keep up the good work. :) –FindabairThe benefit of the doubt is often doubtful. 04:48, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
Hi there and welcome to the wiki! My username is my real name, first name is Jan. The rest of my username is difficult to pronounce for Americans, I live in Holland where it's a rather common name. I'm not really a writer, I do more allround things, images, also plenty of maintenance. Can't come up with a favorite article right now, many are good! Being a bureaucrat is fun, I can be a slave driver to the rest! No all in good fun, it's a bit more responsibility but I always keep in mind I'm doing this for fun and I want to keep feeling that it is. Good luck with your stay here! Hi there. I wanted to stop by and let you know I reviewed edits made on the Avery article yesterday. I know that it is frustrating when changes you made are rolled back, but it is equally important that you reach out to other editors via the user or article talk page to try and reach a consensus first. Our conduct guideline explains this back and forth as an "edit war" which only serves to lead to more conflict when communication could loop in other editors for insight, potentially leading to an even stronger article at the end.
Sometimes if you are having an issue with a specific user or situation and feel like communication is at a standstill, you can reach out to administration to help. We are always here to support you, just ask that communication is attempted first. In this specific case, instead of myself I would have you bring any issues you need assistance with to my fellow admin Dyre Wolf or content moderator Findabair. They are approachable and I trust their judgment completely.
That being said, this is a warning for edit warring per the policy above. Everyone makes mistakes, myself most assuredly included, so don't be discouraged. The spirit of the wiki is collaboration, and even though sometimes it is challenging to navigate, a better wiki is the result of this effort, and I know that is a goal we all strive for. The project I had in mind for you to reinvigorate for the settlement objects is here -->Fallout Wiki:Fallout 4 settlement objects project. It has been inactive since 2017ish but has a good structure, so it would be a good starting point for you instead of making a brand new project. You can just bring this one active again, keep what you like, and change what you don't. Ask Fin for help making sure the directions/examples are up to date, at first glance I can tell it is going to need some modernizing, have made a lot of changes in infoboxes and content guidelines since it was last worked on in earnest. Reach out to dataminers on discord, too, they are always a good resource especially with more challenging xEdit questions. Bad victorium! - kdarrow take her for a spin! 11:22, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
RE: Two Questions
So right now, you cannot edit the Nursery design documents because they are locked behind user rights permissions and can only be edited by staff... but I have no idea why this is the case. There are no comments in the article talk pages, no signs of edit warring, and the summary for the page being marked as protected does not actually explain why the page was protected. I'll ask around and see if there's a reason for this, but the page lock was something done around 8 years ago by users who are no longer here. Maybe they though the page was "done" and did not need to be edited. Maybe it was something else. If no one can give me a good reason as to why it is currently locked, I will open it back up.
But for future reference, if you ever see the "view source" as your only option with no ability to edit the page, it is a sign the page is being protected. If you click on the page history, you can see who protected the page and when. Ideally, they should leave some sort of comment somewhere readily apparent, like the article's talk page, so that other users understand what has been done.
Onto the second question. So, you've stumbled onto a very old page. There's a decent chance iguana is older than you! And the sorts of conventions that are allowed on any given page change over time. Much of the information you are confused by is not actually represented in game. There are not any tropical regions in game, and so far as I know, there's certainly not a 6 long example. This is all real world information about iguanas used to flush out the page, because without it, there would be little there. For example, IRL iguanas are from tropical regions (which is the reason tropics are listed at all) and that the iguanas are found outside the tropics and are a common food source in the various wasteland biomes showcases how they would have expanded their range beyond their natural habitats. As for not affected by radiation? I would have to guess on that one a little bit more, but I would wager that's someone looking at the images of the food, which do sometimes actually show the whole animal skewered rather than cut up into bits, and seeing how its more or less iguana shaped, compared to all the wildly mutated animals we encounter with 2 heads n' such.
Now whether or not that is appropriate content for an article is one of those feather ruffling, philosophical debates which (I would imagine) are often reflected by furrowed brows and furious typing at the Darrow household. And right now, this sort of thing is something of a hot button topic for many editors, with many different opinions all clashing. So where your first question is fairly easy, this one is not. I would wager sometime before the year's end, you'll have a chance to see one of your first significant, overly detailed and hotly debated aspects of the wiki culture as this exact question comes to a head.
Thanks for voting for me child. I will continue to pay all of your bills and for all your whims. Those things are not related. Love you! - kdarrow take her for a spin! 02:50, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
Re: Thank you
Thank you for your kind words, you are most welcome and I am happy for you. Also, good to know that the parcel arrived in good condition, and that you are defending its contents with tooth and nail. ;-) Until the next time.

I restored the power armor page to how it was. You removed 15 years of content right from it. I don't agree with that. Overview infobox needs to stay, and some content may be trimmed but it has to looked at for each section. Format should remain. Jspoel 16:51, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
I have granted you patroller rights earlier, both on the wiki and on the Discord. Since you fulfill the requirements by now, and as Dyre already gave the green light on Discord the last time, there was no need to hold back on this action any longer.
Let me extend a heartfelt welcome to you as our newest staff member. Please find attached the Nukapedia Patroller Guide, which should give you a thorough overview over the new tools at your disposal. Should you have any questions at all, feel free to reach out, either here or on the Discord. Keep up the good work.
Have a great day and happy editing.

RE: Technical editing mentor
Hello little mentee! I would be absolutely honored to be your mentor in this. If there is anything you don't understand you are always welcome to come to me. I would suggest taking a look at some of the templates I've worked on in the past as well as some of the Fallout 76 infoboxes. There's also the modules I've worked on like Module:String Module:StringFunctions and Module:Validation. It's funny that you think I'm not insane XD. I'm looking forward to working with you, Bow! -Eckserah Head Dataminer 03:58, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
