Bobblehead links

Can you link the bobbleheads on pages like I did? Mine directs to the Fallout 76 section while yours goes to the top of the page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 23:37, November 29, 2018 (UTC)

Toolbox key

For the toolbox key you say it's located "In a duffle bag located near Pylon V-13 in Cranberry Bog, just NW of it you will find a wooden stump with a note on it and a duffle bag." Can you tell me what note? Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:41, January 12, 2019 (UTC)

Look at this page for details on the toolbox key... http://dulfy.net/2018/11/21/fallout-76-nuka-cola-outfit-and-power-armor-paint-job-guide/#Unlocking_the_Nuka-Cola_Bunker -- Bovineone (talk) 02:43, January 13, 2019 (UTC)

Flatwoods monster

That is not a quotation. It is breaking our capitalization rules and consistency on the page. Great Mara (talk) 18:06, January 14, 2019 (UTC)

See the page. It is not formatted as a quotation. And by your own screenshot, you're not even quoting the effect line verbatim. Great Mara (talk) 18:11, January 14, 2019 (UTC)

FO76 pages

Hi, I just wanted to say thanks for your contributions on the FO76 pages. Still some ways to go, so nice to see more people working on them! :) --L84tea Tea kettle.png 20:18, January 18, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for the recognition. It's still fun to find pages that have details I did't yet know! -- Bovineone (talk) 21:08, January 18, 2019 (UTC)
Jeff, just wanted to say, thanks for your work here. Just discovered on IMDB (by your recent edits) many characters had their voice actors there added. Now we update that here too. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 19:16, January 26, 2019 (UTC)
Sounds good. I'll try to find other missing data from IMDB when able. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 23:59, January 26, 2019 (UTC)
Saw your work on the 76 pages. Just wanted to say thanks for the hard work you put into the wiki.Lobsel Vith (talk) 00:50, January 27, 2019 (UTC)

Jefferson Grey

Ok thanks, we'll use the name Jefferson Grey then I think. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 18:19, January 28, 2019 (UTC)

Fissure sites

You added a lot of new fissure sites. Are you sure they all exist, and by that name? The ones I added (in the infobox) are all found by using the Fo76 Editor. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:52, February 16, 2019 (UTC)

It's possible none of the additions currently exist, however it would be noteworthy if they did not since it is clear that the naming of the sites are taken from the Greek alphabet (with the exception of fissure site prime). Ordering them in the natural sequence of the Greek alphabet and highlighting where current gaps exist can help identify where additional investigation is warranted (or hints of possible cut content, or future DLC expansion). -- Bovinejeff (talk) 18:34, February 16, 2019 (UTC)
So you don't know if they exist, it's just a guess if they do. As long as they're not in the editor or in the Vault Dweller Survival Guide, I wouldn't want them listed. We need more to go on. Currently we have to assume they don't exist. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 18:46, February 16, 2019 (UTC)
Sure, as long as you feel you've already done an audit of the game data that confirmed none of the names I've added seem to exist. If that is the case, I think it might be prudent to add a Note that mentions the Greek alphabet and which ones were skipped by the developers to avoid future confusion. It might also be worth mentioning that the Greek suffixes don't appear to be displayed in game at all? -- Bovinejeff (talk) 19:02, February 16, 2019 (UTC)
I checked almost all locations in the editor, these are the only fissure sites that show up. There are no others I think. I left a note about the names, that's sufficient I think. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:04, February 16, 2019 (UTC)

Editor ID in templates

Awesome work on adding IDs to all those pages! I saw you added a field to some templates for the editor ID, which I think is a great addition. When updating a template, please make sure that you also update the documentation of the template if necessary.
- FDekker talk 22:35, February 17, 2019 (UTC)

Okay, I updated a couple of the docs, but I can't update the current examples with actual edid's since I don't own those games. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 23:03, February 17, 2019 (UTC)
(Late reply, I know.) Looks nice. I've updated the examples where appropriate.

Where did you find raw xxxxx flux in Thistle (Fallout 76)? Is that a substitute for raw <type> fluxes? Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 21:24, February 21, 2019 (UTC)

It's a placeholder, as I haven't been able to determine which type it yields. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 21:27, February 21, 2019 (UTC)
I wouldn't link it then. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 21:51, February 21, 2019 (UTC)

Decapitalize the S from Station then I think. I'm not sure of it, but we decided for it I believe a long time ago. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 21:58, February 27, 2019 (UTC)

Port-A-Diner Placeholders?

The Port-A-Diner page is intended for describing locations to Port-A-Diners specifically. There are many locations in Fallout 76 that don't contain Port-A-Diners. These units are also not always placed in locations with map markers. Typically, these units reside inside of diners, cafeterias and some Red Rocket stations. They do exist in some random locations, like at Dyer Chemical. Most diners and Red Rocket stations have no map markers and many exist outside of towns. Some larger towns have the units because they have broken down diners in the town. The Port-A-Diner units may also exist inside of larger buildings that have cafeterias or kitchens, such as Garrahan Mining, AMS, RobCo Research and AVR Medical center.

I wouldn't suggest adding placeholders to the Port-A-Diner page because it confuses people into thinking there are Port-A-Diners located there when there may not be any in that location. I'd suggest only adding entries to this page when you have explicitly found a Port-A-Diner unit at a specific location.

If you would like to suggest locations for people to search for Port-A-Diners, then I might suggest adding a note to the Talk page to request people search in these locations.

Commorancy (talk) 18:05, March 6, 2019 (UTC)

The locations I added are indeed named areas with a reference to the Port-A-Diner object, according to the game files, so I have no reason to doubt whether they actually exist in the game. There is extensive precedent by other editors in this wiki for adding placeholders, partial location descriptions, and information derived from game data file inspection. This allows additional data to be flushed out and expanded over time. If you like, you may add {{verify}} tags to highlight that there is some uncertainty. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 18:43, March 6, 2019 (UTC)

West-Tek Port-A-Diner

There was an anon that made a bullet list of Port-A-Diner locations on the preserved pie page, which is why I removed it and added that info to the Port-A-Diner page. Their list included that West-Tek location, but I haven't checked it myself. You can go ahead and remove it if you haven't been able to verify it. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 19:05, March 7, 2019 (UTC)

Fo76WA forum discussion

Hi! As you're one of the regular FO76 editors, I wanted to make sure you saw this forum discussion regarding the treatment of the Wild Appalachia update: [1]. Possibly you have had a look already and had nothing to add, but wanted to bring it to your attention in case you hadn't seen it yet and had any thoughts you wanted to add.

Apologies that it's over a week old before I'm mentioning it, it only just occurred to me that maybe you hadn't seen it because it was on forums. ---L84tea Tea kettle.png 03:08, March 24, 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, I hadn't seen that before you mentioned it. I'm not sure that I have much additional to contribute at this point though. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 07:10, March 25, 2019 (UTC)
No worries, just wanted to make sure you had the opportunity. :) --L84tea Tea kettle.png 07:56, March 25, 2019 (UTC)

Normally I don't hassle people for their votes.

But I wanted to give you a heads-up that you really ought to do more research before you make votes like the one you put forth on Autumn's request.

Making unwarranted claims like that can be very damaging, and is completely avoidable since it's fairly easy to look up that Autumn has never been site or chat banned. 寧靜 Fox.png 05:24, March 28, 2019 (UTC)

Patroller rights

Are you interested in patroller rights? It makes it easier to revert bad edits (rollback) and your edits won't have the exclamation marks anymore. Maybe more important, it's a necessary step requirement for eventually becoming admin. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 16:58, March 28, 2019 (UTC)

Not interested. Too much drama. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 16:59, March 28, 2019 (UTC)

X-01 Power armor repair edits

Hi, Bovine, I am changing the X-01 right arm stat that you added. It appears that you looked at my edit and saw that the left arm required aluminum and that was missing on the right arm so you added it. It is however true that, as of patch, the left arm requires aluminum and the right does not. In the 2/13/2019 patch, repair and crafting requirements were significantly reduced; Bethesda finally reacted all of the posts about "Where can I find enough springs and screws?" In typical Bethesda fashion, they gave the team less time than was required to do the job properly. Currently, for all levels of raider power armor, gears are required for left arms but springs are required for right arms. They missed the Ultracite helmet repair requirements, so now you can craft one for less than half the material needed to repair one. And then, there's the X-01 right arm. There may be a couple more that I am forgetting. As far as I am aware, no one has cracked the code for the curve tables that determine the values so the only way to find them is to go into repair/crafting mode in-game. I maintain full sets of 16 of the 18 power armors and check crafting and repair requirements after each patch. I do have a problem that, at level 15 intelligence, without any perks, armor is crafted at about 167% meaning that I can't get full repair stats for the sets that have been crafted until I wear them down below 100% and I'm finding that that takes weeks to do. I've got 4 of the 6 pieced of X-01 level 50 down. Excavator level 25 is almost there. I have a long way to go on X-01 level 40 and Excavator level 45. I haven't even crafted Excavator level 35 for this venture. I had one but gave it away weeks ago back when storage was limited to 400. I could kick myself. Curiously, I have never found a single piece of T-51b level 40. I just got my second character to level 40 and will be looking intensely for it. It is possible that it does not exist. Hopefully, someone will find how the curve tables work and these values can be extracted from the game files in the near future.--Lakewalker (talk) 16:48, March 29, 2019 (UTC)

Sure, that's fine since you know those numbers to be correct. I was just duplicating the values into the missing elements. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 17:20, March 29, 2019 (UTC)

Pump station access key

Where did you find the pump station access key at The Burrows? I can't find it in the Creation Kit under that name. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 13:40, April 5, 2019 (UTC)

I thought I saw it while browsing under the cell block structure, but I can only find the Pump Station Access Terminal (004825A5) right now, so maybe that is what I saw. The other key, Burrows Old Tunnel Key, is 00453AA7. I'll look around more later today and remove it if I can't locate it again. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 15:03, April 5, 2019 (UTC)
If you have some time, can you copy all of the terminal text into "The Burrows terminal entries"? I think there are about 5 different terminals in there. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 15:36, April 5, 2019 (UTC)

Hey Jeff, I downcapped the t of tick blood tequila, it's not a brand name and I checked on wikipedia. Tequila Sunrise/Margarita is capped I think because of proper noun/brand name. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 14:07, April 7, 2019 (UTC)

Technically, Tequila is a proper noun (name of a city), from which the alcohol gets its name. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 19:38, April 7, 2019 (UTC)

A Perfect Getaway

Have you played A Perfect Getaway? It's think it's a cut quest. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:15, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

Not yet, but i think it may be triggered by finding the Cryptid hunter magazine for it? -- Bovinejeff (talk) 17:18, April 14, 2019 (UTC)

What platform are you playing on? On PC? Are you by any chance able to create images for holodisk and notes, we still need those. I'm not that far in the game myself to create most. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 20:59, April 20, 2019 (UTC)

I play on PC, but I haven't been motivated enough to play for the last couple of weeks and actually haven't done any of the Lying Lowe or Burrows yet. Which notes do think are most important? I would assume the ones that are simply text are not as important, since we already have the transcriptions. -- Bovinejeff (talk) 07:27, April 21, 2019 (UTC)
Any note/holodisk image is ok. If you take a screenshot, try to create some distance so you can see something of the environment. Helps to orientate where exactly to find it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 11:55, April 21, 2019 (UTC)

End of Bog Town

I don't see a second note of End of Bog Town in the game files. Is that Red Rocket in the Abandoned bog town, have you seen it there? Than the first entry should be removed. I now removed your entry. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:07, May 14, 2019 (UTC)

My edit was just to match the location description that was already on the Abandoned bog town page. It looks like there is a history of some disagreement about whether there are one or two places for that note.[2][3] -- Bovinejeff (talk) 17:16, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
The other note must be mixed up with Villa available then. I reversed it now, End of Bog Town must be at the Red Rocket. Jspoel Speech Jspoel.png 17:29, May 14, 2019 (UTC)
