Hey, in future, please check your edits, some of them have been reverted due to their low quality. Energy X 21:10, August 12, 2014 (UTC)

Westside thugEdit

Nice work on adding that page. Keep up the good work and happy editing! - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 10:38, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

I have removed your gallery image. It was of too poor quality. If you look at the new pic, it's made in-game and much larger. Thanks for that page though; it was still missing. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:44, August 21, 2014 (UTC)

Gallery imagesEdit

Hey, it's great to see you're uploading images but try and make sure that images you add to a gallery add something the page doesn't already have. We already know what Jesse Burch looks like, so just having two more pictures of his face doesn't add anything. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?"UserRichard 17:39, August 30, 2014 (UTC)

Edit warring and Joseph B Steyn Edit

Howdy Bluerx833, just dropping by to leave you a message for two reasons.

First of all I'd like to explain to you why I reverted your edit to Joseph B. Steyn's page. I reverted it for the following reasons: as a mentioned only character, Joseph B. Steyn has no official in game appearance, using a cut GECK model implies a legitimacy to that presentation as official in game content rather than cut content as it was noted in the gallery. Additionally, removing the town he was the mayor of, from the role section was not the way to go as "Mayor" is less specific than "Mayor of Nipton" just as Tandi was the President of NCR, Steyn was Mayor of Nipton. I reverted the corpse bit as that speculates that was the role Steyn's model would have served.

As for edit warring, when an edit of yours is reverted, rather than revert it back you should first discuss it with the reverting editor, as said on the Fallout Wiki:User conduct guideline "In general, if someone reverts an edit you made, you should not re-add it without reaching a consensus on the article's talk page." This can also be discussed appropriately on talk pages. Reverting their edit starts an edit war and that is not the way to do things.

As for your newest revision to Steyn's page I still draw issue with the role section being cut down to Mayor and the use of a cut model's image being used as the infobox image rather than being in the gallery marked as cut content. However, so as to not further an edit war I would like to discuss it with you before editing the page. Richie9999 (talk) 22:25, September 16, 2014 (UTC)

Richie,

Non-canon or cut images in the infobox would be labeled with the appropriate non-canon or cut content label.

AudioEdit

Hey, great work adding the audio files to the Omerta Thug page, we certainly need as many people adding audio as we can, but make sure you use the "inline quote" template when adding audio to the notable quotes section (just look at the changes I made).
Thanks :).

Edit

I reverted your logo change again, I like the one we a good deal better. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:30, January 3, 2015 (UTC)

Your logo is too much a copy of the Fallout 3 logo. The other one which I reverted to has the 4 in the corner of the box and the color deviates more from the Fallout 3 one, setting it more apart. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:53, January 3, 2015 (UTC)

Zeus MendozaEdit

That new image of Zeus Mendoza you uploaded is better, but I've seen a larger, more recent one on IMDB.com and yours is a bit small in size. Can you upload that one? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:53, January 3, 2015 (UTC)

Infobox Roles Edit

When you link the infobox role to a page, be sure to link it to the most relevant page (Fallout 3 merchants vs Merchant) As it provides the information most relevant to both the game that character is affiliated with as well as the character. Richie9999 (talk) 23:40, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

Mind you, this applies to other links as well. Richie9999 (talk) 23:45, February 1, 2015 (UTC)

Lily Bowen Edit

Hi there, out of curiosity why did you removed one of the contents from pages? As far as I know, Lily used to live in vault 17, therefore she used to be a vault dweller there. Please refrain from removing one of her roles without a confirmation/source that she's not a former vault dweller. Thank you. ------Cassie I can see you. 13:33, March 6, 2015 (UTC)

Good IntentionsEdit

I reverted your weapon image again. Everything that is not part of it needs to go and become transparant like we have for all weapon images. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:49, March 20, 2016 (UTC)

service number vs registration numberEdit

Where did you see it referred to as a registration number. In the military people have service numbers and ships and planes have registration numbers. Please provide a reference.--Kingclyde (talk) 21:54, April 6, 2016 (UTC)

The members of Recon Squad Gladius, on the Cambridge Police Station terminal entries, have their registration numbers listed on the member status.

The The Art of Fallout 4, page 20, "Machine Gun" --VaultGunslinger 02:33, April 17, 2016 (UTC)

Originally it was called machine gun. Somehow the devs changed it to an assault rifle. I know Its not a remodeled assault rifle, its just an assault rifle. --吉野Cassie Talk to me! ✿ 02:36, April 17, 2016 (UTC)

Race on charactersEdit

Hey, recently I had to mediate an edit-war regarding race on character pages. One of the pages involved was Cait. On this page, you added that she was caucasian. Is this based on looks or is there another specific reason that you added it (gamefiles or so)? Thank you in advance for your answer. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 01:44, June 1, 2016 (UTC)

The discussion can also be found here. - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 01:57, June 1, 2016 (UTC)

TimelineEdit

Use "Timeline#Yearnumber|Yearnumber" surrounded by square brackets and without the quotation marks when inserting links to years. For example, "Timeline#2287|2287" instead of "2287". It'll look like 2287 instead of a red link. Good work on the other stuff though. SierraX (talk) 21:17, October 15, 2016 (UTC)

Merry Christmas and (a bit too early to wish it already, but I'll do it already anyway) a Happy New Year!Edit

I would like to use the Christmas/New Year-wishes-tradition, to thank those around me who kept this wikia and daily life more fun for me during the past year. Everything just seems so normal and evident that we are here almost every day, yet it's very worthwhile to consider for a moment how wonderful it is to have people like you around me, making editing and being on chat a lot more enjoyable. I would also like to use this opportunity to wish a happy and healthy new year for you and everyone around you who is dear to you. I hope you'll have a great and healthy new year in which all your wishes may come true! - Greets Peace'n Hugs (talk) (blog) 02:36, December 24, 2016 (UTC)

References Edit

I've been checking through a couple of your character rewrites and have had to remove some of the content due to not being able to verify some of the information. Additionally with Preston Garvey, the source reference sources were removed in your rewrite as they were included as part of the brlackground information rather than being cited properly.

I'm going to add citation needed tags where i cannot verify the content, to allow time for you to include relevant references instead of removing what is otherwise good quality writing. This should save on valid information being removed as long as the references do get updated. I'm going allow a couple of weeks before removing anything that remains unverified so people have time to insert them.

If you need help with referencing, let me know and I'll be more than happy to help you. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 08:58, April 24, 2017 (UTC)

Vault-Tec rep Edit

Is the a reason why you moved Vault-Tec rep to Vault-Tec representative? His name in the game and the files itself is the former and that's what people will search for. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 00:36, April 25, 2017 (UTC)

Rep is an abbreviation of Representative. I considered renaming the page to have the word representative, but I'd rather have it changed back now.--VaultGunslinger 01:01, April 25, 2017 (UTC)

That's understandable, we do avoid contractions in articles, so article heading should also follow the same principle. When its a give name then we use that as its what people are looking for. Its all moved back now. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 01:49, April 25, 2017 (UTC)

Wicked Shipping Edit

I've been over the company article now and removed several speculative sections from article. We know that there was a deal with Eddie Winter, but we don't know if there were multiple deals, nothing in the terminal, holotape or VDSG entries states this. We also don't know what volume of waste they were moving for General Atomics either, with Wicked Shipping being a small firm, operating from a single location, GA may well have had several small firms handling various volumes to ensure a contingency in the event that one firm failed to provide the contracted service. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 05:26, April 30, 2017 (UTC)

Dialogue files Edit

I noticed you have been putting up the dialogue files over the last few days and the help is appreciated as there are only two of us, barring yourself doing these right now. Me and JackiBackiBoy have spent some time going over the format to see how to include them and have agreed the only sections we need to retain are SCRIPT, NOTES, SCENE, DIALOGUE BEFORE, RESPONSE TEXT, DIALOGUE AFTER and ABXY, in that order (see MQ101MrsAble.txt for an example of how they are laid out.

So they have a nice default sort the dialogue needs sorting by SCENE before transferring over to the article and any dialogue relating to other characters need stripping out (you can see in RailroadDeacon.txt that there is dialogue relating to Cait in there as well.

I know it is a little more work than you have been doing, it saves someone else going over your work and bring it in line with the other page, which with dialogues like Deacons can take a good 30 minutes to an hour to do, purely due to the volumes. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 04:35, May 7, 2017 (UTC)

Infoboxes Edit

In theory a bot should be able to it, although we lost the majority of our bot users some time ago. I don't know if Gunnybot is still active for use. I've had a bit of a dip check in the category to see what is in there and managed to strip a few off, but because of the varying infoboxes and sub configurations required for each box based on what type of item/location etc it may take longer to program than to manually pull them. No harm in asking at least. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 14:37, May 7, 2017 (UTC)

I wouldn't want all the infobox templates removed by bot, you'd never know it would be just or not. Just browse each page and judge each page individually. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:39, May 7, 2017 (UTC)

Infobox incomplete iconEdit

Hey, I see you have uploaded a new version of the image Mbox incomplete.png. It looks as if you have made it yourself, which is not too good. When Jacki reverted your change, you reverted it back which is considered edit warring and that is against the policies of the wiki. When someone reverts your edit and you don't think it is justified, you should contact them on their talk page to resolve the issue. DisgustingWastelander (talk) 22:18, May 10, 2017 (UTC)

Western Commonwealth Edit

I see you removed the content of this article, but I am very unsure why. Although the article is tagged for deletion its retention is still up for discussion. As such people are still free to edit and improve these articles, which might lean the article towards being retained. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 22:26, May 12, 2017 (UTC)

CopyingEdit

You shouldn't copy from The Vault, you know. You gave yourself away with the Fallout timeline links. It's a bannable offense. I'll give you this one but don't do it anymore, ok? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:59, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

Speculation Edit

Hey there, so I noticed you added an article about a company that is essentially speculation. I understand that ingame items sometimes have logos attached, but this is not absolute confirmation of ingame manufacturers/corporations/producers.

I've also been informed through conferring with other editors, and through reading through your talk page history, that you have a tendency to insert speculation in articles, with either very little or no justification for the speculation being given. I respect your contributions to the wiki, and appreciate the manner in which you've established yourself as being helpful, but as an Admin, I'm going to officially request that you avoid inserting speculation into future articles. Consider this a soft warning of sorts. ---bleep196- (talk) 23:53, May 21, 2017 (UTC)

Upon further review, you've been warned, multiple times, in regards to the issue, and I completely missed the above post. Consider this an official ban, you may return to editing on the 24th. Thanks, and have a nice day. ---bleep196- (talk) 00:02, May 22, 2017 (UTC)
As of now, I admit that I am well aware of the the rules prohibiting material deemed speculation and plagiarism on this wiki. I accept that that the unfavorable actions (speculation, plagiarism) I committed provoked my temporary ban, regarding my tendency to insert speculation and plagiarized content. I unwillingly committed those acts; speculation nor plagiarism are not within of the scope of most of my major edits on this wiki, neither of my best interests.

I hereby apologize for anything committed on my part on this wiki that doesn't agree/violates the policy. From now on, I will maintain a resolve to be better aware of potential speculation/plagiarism in edits. I know how it is to be for an experienced editor with a record for many helpful contributions to wiki to be temporarily relived of their privileges to edit, upload images and videos, etc, yet I do understand that the block is intended to help enforce the wiki's policies.a I promise from now on, that I will keep to strictly citing canon sources on future edits. Regarding my infractions, if I do maintain a tendency of posting questionable content on this wiki, you'll know I've done something wrong.

My sincerest apologies. Bluerx833 00:33, May 22, 2017 (UTC)

Railroad Characters Edit

As you will see on Jspoelstra wall I have added more 8nformation for him to take into review regarding your edits. At this point in time I am going to revert the new changes you made on these articles, even though you didn't wait for a response following your complaint. This behaviour is something you have been warned about several times, yet still haven't heeded these. I am going to revert these changes back now and until Js has come back regarding these changes I am going to advise you strongly not to edit them again. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 12:54, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

You mean that its unwise to edit those pages until he responds, because that could interfere with a potential investigation? Bluerx833 12:57, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

I mean don't make change the top line of the articles that the complaint has been raised on as doing so before a decision is made is classed as edit warring. I can see you have read our policies now as your argument. is based upon them, so have most likely seen the User Conduct Policy regarding edit wars, which is what you are doing by not waiting for your chosen mediator to review and make a call. You have also been told several times prior to now about edit warring too. So for now, do not change these back and wait for a mediated decision. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 13:03, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

Yes, in the future, don't edit war. Paladin117>>iff bored; 13:05, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

I tend to agree with you, a very standard opening line like ... is a character in Fallout 4 becomes very boring when you read it on every character page. If you check older game pages, you'll see more of an original line. What Paladin117 did on http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Ricky_Dalton?diff=prev&oldid=2733706, and for example Blackbird is good, a small original opening line, revealing just a bit unique of the character. Then in the background you extend on that. We do need originality on the pages, and should stimulate that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:43, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

Alright then, was Great Mara, just misunderstood when I edited those pages? Bluerx833 14:57, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

Great Mara is a user who wants to stick to strict guidelines and not deviate from that too much; if you see check the character page layout guideline Fallout_Wiki:Article_layout_guideline/Character_article, you'll see that it says .. is one of the inhabitants of .. in 2277, of which you could say put that every character page and you're good. But looking a bit ahead you'll also see a short description (and originality in my opinion) is prefered. So that's the better way to go. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:11, May 25, 2017 (UTC)

Delete tags Edit

I completely understand where you are coming from with the delete tags and I completely agree with you that they shouldn't be on main. I've given him a chance to keep them by moving them to user pages for the time being, but any more and one of the admins will most likely sanction them.

That said, the template shouldn't be used for recommending blocks on other users. Its bad form and is likely to bring flak against yourself. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 13:34, May 27, 2017 (UTC)

no they just got deleted :( Breakdown Kush (talk) 13:37, May 27, 2017 (UTC)

You were told not to what you just did. Saigon Sally (talk) 13:04, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

I said this before a A while ago, but I think a reminder is due: Even if the contents of the article is not legitimate, don't delete it when adding delete tags, or if it is flagged for deletion. People can not discuss potentially retaining them, if they cannot see what was there before. Seeing as you merged one article and the other was an unneeded redirect this time it is not a big deal, it is still not ideal.
Obviously the exception is with genuinely distressful/insulting trolling, clear that away like there is no tomorrow. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 16:17, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

Kent Connelly Edit

After checking the dialogue and the VDSG I have had to remove a large chunk of the entry you made on the grounds of fanon/speculation again as I cannot cite it. As such I am reminding you again that speculation and fanon should not be added to articles. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 20:47, May 28, 2017 (UTC)

Of course I was right that there was a screenplay being written a Silver Shroud TV show, howver the reasons why Hubris Comics commissioned it; that's the part of my background writing for Connolly that gave off warning lights? I wasn't aware that was speculation, however your message to me shown that the script only proven that a SS TV show was in the works, but doesn't prove the reasons for making it? Bluerx833 12:42, May 29, 2017 (UTC)

As a child, pre-War, Connolly sat down with his family and daily tuned in to listen to the latest episodes of his favorite radio crime-drama, The Silver Shroud.

Thats is the speculative element. There is nothing in Dialogue, nor is there anything in the VDSG to say he is a pre-War character, thus making it lead towards fanon rather than speculation. The rest of the paragraph re Hubris can be cited, but has nothing to do with Connelly's background; that is related to Hubris Comics. If the information isn't on there already, nothing to say you can't add it in, but I would recommend referencing it as some may argue elements such as the number of episodes in production.

As for the change to his role, I would consider a radio host and a radio technician to be very seperate roles. I only did a complete revert on that as I didn't have the time/mental capacity to rewrite it. If you decide to change it again, please keep the name of the station in the role. It is good information to have there. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 12:55, May 29, 2017 (UTC)

Wastelander (Fallout 3)Edit

Warning red Hello Bluerx833, please refrain from edit warring. If you feel your edits have been reverted without cause, leave a message on the article talk page, with the reverting editor, or one of Nukapedia's active administrators. Do not continue to edit war, as this will result in administrative action. You should take this opportunity to completely familiarize yourself with Nukapedia's user policies and content guidelines, if you have not yet done so.
Great Mara (talk) 22:12, June 3, 2017 (UTC)

My first edit to that page was made several weeks ago; the 8th of May, 2017. I attempted to justify it, stating that scavengers are variant of wastelanders. Bluerx833 22:21, June 3, 2017 (UTC)

Even so, you made an edit and then reverted it again without discussing with the reverter to try and reach a consensus. As you have demonstrated an awareness of when you made the change previously (and used it as primary defence) I can only assume you were aware of your prior edit and this isn't a case of accidental oversight, where you forgot you edited it before. The exact wording in the guidelines:
Do not start edit wars: Be ready to discuss your changes with others. If you disagree with another editor, discuss the issue either on user or article talk pages. Repeatedly reverting each other's changes ("edit warring") is bound to escalate the conflict instead of solving it. If you cannot reach a consensus, ask another user to mediate. In general, if someone reverts an edit you made, you should not re-add it without reaching a consensus on the article's talk page.

I would recommend heading to this rule as you have had 2 warnings about this in less than a fortnight now. Although there has been a notable change regarding what you were banned for previously, unless edit warring stops you could potentially face another block. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 15:53, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

I made that edit to the FO3 wastelander page, because I want to better emphasize the connection between scavengers and wastelanders. According to the GECK, both of the above NPC classes belong to the "WastelanderFaction." Plus, the scavengers draw from the leveled NPC pool for Wastelanders "VarWastelander." Although this fact is not included in lore, I feel we should not miss it, because its all in 'Fallout3.esm;" that is the main plugin for the game; It was created by the devs, thus they designed the FO3 scavengers to be tied with wastelanders; it was their decision, not ours. Bluerx833 16:17, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

I have just been through all 18 base ID's recorded on the article and there is not a single ID with a connection to the scavenger faction. I also checked the 2 for the scavengers and they do show as flagged with the wastelander faction and the infobox reflects this for the scavengers. Removing factual information from an article (you removed their role as wastelander) and adding information that the prior edit summary clearly states why it was reverted is something we discourage at all levels. If you still think the revision is wrong, take it up with Richie who reverted your change. Sakaratte - Talk to the cat 16:41, June 4, 2017 (UTC)

Ranger station Charlie Edit

Hey Blue, I'm wondering if you can help me with a source enquiry here. we have had a bit of a slow debate on if Shady Pines and Ranger station Charlie are the same location. I've checked the NV game guide as the way it was written appeared to possibly be a guide extract but came up blank. I know it was 2 years ago, but do you know your source from back then? Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 20:33, June 19, 2017 (UTC)

The rear of the wooden sign located at the entrance of the station, was not painted over completely. When you piece together the paint fragments that haven't already been peeled off, you get "Shady Pines." Bluerx833 20:43, June 19, 2017 (UTC)

Ah, that ties up with some of the discussions we were having a few weeks ago before I said I'd get the guide and try to confirm. We had two sides to the argument, one saying the board could have been brought in from else where and the other saying "that information must have a source." I think unless we have a better source I'm going to have to remove it as speculative, just because we can't say it was brought in from elsewhere. I'm going to do a double check through the guide for a second source, do you know of any yourself? Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 21:30, June 19, 2017 (UTC)

AbolitionistEdit

"SLAVES (ABOLITIONISTS) There is a band of abolitionist slaves deep in the Wasteland. They are all escaped slaves, seeking to end slavery for all time. You can learn more about them in Miscellaneous Quest: Head of State" --Fallout 3 Game Guide

I put the faction back on the pages, just thought I'd let you know why.

Xa3MysteriousStranger 14:48, August 2, 2017 (UTC)

BulletEdit

I had a quick look at this one and I couldn't verify the rank from the source texts, plus there was information about him being ruthless with slave traders who don't agree to his terms, which I suspect, is speculation based on his interventions with the Sole Survivor.

We have warned before about these edits before as they fall into the realms of being fanon. In future, if it cannot be referenced, do not add it to the articles.

Also, can you not remove the timeline links from the hotel on the character articles. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 08:07, August 21, 2017 (UTC)

Article editsEdit

And? The original content as fine as it stands and if you have something to add, work it into the content that's already there. Furthermore, these are wiki articles and not editorials/fanction sites, most of your changes are unnecessarily verbose and read more like they're trying to set a scene in a story than provide background information. Great Mara (talk) 16:38, February 25, 2018 (UTC)

I've had to think on this before messing you, you do make some good edits and find information that we don't have and that makes me reluctant to ban. However, your recent edits today have contained a fair bit of editorial and information that cannot be verified/is speculative that had to be trimmed out.
Ultimately I have decided to leave it at this: Stop with the speculation and editorial or you will face a block. Doesn't matter if it is today, next week or 6 months down the line, that is the going to be the outcome. I'd rather not lose you as an editor because of the work you do carry out, but I can't allow the rule infringements to continue. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 19:40, February 25, 2018 (UTC)
Also a lot of your edits are not minor, please do not mark them as such. Sakaratte - Talk to the catmin 19:42, February 25, 2018 (UTC)
