Copying of Pages to The VaultEdit

Look, I can see your frustration but it's what has happened. If you would have acknowledged us and asked the user, fine by all means COPY & PASTE but you did nothing of the sorts. You took several pages of our community and with no respectful acknowledgement to A.) Acknowledgement to the community you took it from, Nukapedia. B.) Not even a change of wording or anything of the sorts... I took time out of MY life and others THEIR lives to make those pages and you come along and copy the page, paste it over at The Vault and claim as yours. That's uncalled for and so is your response of 1.) I copied it from Wikipedia. and 2.) It was a coincidence. They are outright lies. We all caught you in them, we have proof of the plagiarism and of your denial. We tried to make this as civil as possible but yet you try and cower from everything brought before you. I have lost my patience for you (as have a lot of people) and what's going on over at The Vault. The few good users there have tried to create a peace between us and shit like what you do is ruining it. If I have to I will go over to T.V. and change those pages myself and claim the rights there to them. Would love to hear a response on either this TP or my own.

P.S.: The Richard Dunwich page at the Vault has yet to be changed. Just thought I'd let you know so you can inform Tag or do it yourself. RangerSequoia "Some say this user is a Patroller..." Wiki 06:51, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Then why can you not perform the simple task of providing a valid statement addressing our evidence and concerns? Why do you constantly shy away from the page histories and timestamps proving otherwise? In basic psychology, that pretty much crystal clearly translates to "I know I'm screwed and they know I'm lying but I'm just going to outright deny everything and think they have no evidence". It's common-sense. It's like me stealing something on CCTV with my face clearly visible and doing exactly the same as you, saying "I didn't do it, you've got no proof". Those very lines are also in fact a classic case of a lie.

The page histories and times clearly state otherwise. - 21:07, November 25th, 2013 - 00:29, November 26th, 2013 16:46, December 17th, 2013 17:11, December 17th, 2013

I have no doubt there are more pages such as this on TV. User OfficialLolGuy  OfficialLolGuy  Talk  Blog  07:39, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Look Ant, as a crat I'm trying not to get too deep into this dispute, especially given my history with a certain fellow admin of yours, but people keep pulling me in.

I'm facing calls to ban you. I'm not going to do that, because it wouldn't solve the problem. You ban a vandal to stop em vandalising, but I cant stop someone viewing and using Control C on the wiki.

You gotta admit this looks more than a little suspicious... 2 pages, almost identically worded, made within hours of the one here... and today I noticed you uploaded the Fallout Tactics manual not long after we did...

Ultimately, if you are copying without attribution, and you know for sure if you are or not, this is a situation that hurts everyone. Firstly, it hurts us - our users feel disrespected, and the work appears on our competitor... but it also hurts the Vault. The ultimate place where this ends is a potential DMCA takedown notice. If we issue a DMCA takedown notice to Gamepedia's host or ISP, then The Vault goes down - its as simple as that. Maybe it comes back up in a few days after the infringing content is gone, maybe it doesn't.

I think you'll appreciate this is the nuclear option... and noone wins in a nuclear war.

All you have to do to avoid any of that happening is attribute anything you use in the same manner Tag demanded of us. You're free to use it, as long as its used the right way.

Up to you where you want this to go. Ultimately until this is cleared up, you're going to find chat a hostile place... and I know you like visiting us.

Balls in your court. Agent c (talk) 07:28, January 20, 2014 (UTC)

Enclave remnants addition Edit

Just wanted to let you know I really appreciate the credit you made sure to give me and Toci in your edit summary of the edits you yoinked from us, reference format and all.

I'll be sure and return the favor. Enclavesymbol 19:38, July 16, 2014 (UTC)

Dude, do you honestly think I'm stupid or something? Look at the times of the two edit histories, I added what you added literal hours before you did. You mean to tell me it's all a coincidence, and you just happened to think about making the exact same contributions I did, and just an hour after for that matter?

I'm not accusing you of anything, I'm calling you out on what you did. It's not a big deal if we can start making a habit of crediting here, otherwise, yeah, I was a little irked considering I spent nearly an hour overhauling that article with the help of Toci and Leon. FoBoS dialogueEdit

I have the game and am playing it now. You can find the dialogue file on your wiki in the Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel text files category. Veryblackraven added it there a few weeks ago. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 12:59, September 26, 2014 (UTC)

Stats Fallout charactersEdit

Don't you think it's rather poor taste copying stats these past three days from Fallout characters from here to The Vault without giving me a single credit? I don't have a proper critter stats mapper for Fallout and had to do quite a bit of in-game work to discover their proto id. You could at least have given me credits for a few of those. Or you could have found out stats from characters yourself in the game, so we could have benefited from it over here. Just saying. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:48, November 4, 2014 (UTC)

Then it is very coincidental you're adding the stats to the exact same characters as I did, isn't it? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:50, November 4, 2014 (UTC)

Crediting, once moreEdit

What's the point of crediting me, if you don't add the wiki you got it from? And next time, please spell my name correctly. You've seen it often enough. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:58, December 13, 2014 (UTC)

Merry Christmas and a happy new yearEdit

I would like to use the Christmas-wishes-tradition to thank those around me who kept this wiki and daily life more fun for me during the past year. Everything just seems so normal and evident that we are here almost every day, yet it's very worthwhile to consider for a moment how wonderful it is to have all of you around me, making editing and being on chat a lot more enjoyable. I would also like to use this opportunity to wish a happy and healthy new year for you and everyone around you, with perseverance in tough times, but most of all, with wonderful moments among enjoyable friends and family. Your userpageEdit

Ant, a bit of a radical question, but I have a request about your userpage. I'd like to propose two options. Or you remove the brackets from every red link (and remove images), or just blank the whole thing. I haven't seen you done much with it on The Vault, and probably not much here as well. It's that we very much like to keep the overview on all Special:Specialpages, and you're cluttering it a great deal with all kinds of (unnecessary) red links/images. My suggestion is blank it (also your workbench). You'll have the content on The Vault anyway for reference. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:56, September 10, 2019 (UTC)

Your making good progress with the removing of the red links (replacing the brackets with '''), please do them all, they serve no real purpose. Might as well remove the images in your workbench I think. If you want to replace an image, you can do so if it's a better one on The Vault. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:44, September 11, 2019 (UTC)

Importing pagesEdit

Sorry to say, it's not been going well. I had to check every page, and had to do a serious overhaul on them to make them look good. You need to take care of the imports. There are too numerous things to mention (like that you created pages that already exist). Take more time for each page, compare to how we do it here. Just browse my edits on your pages to see how you can improve. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:54, September 15, 2019 (UTC)

I just saw your angry emoticon in Discord. You should take more care when adding content/updating pages. You just copied a lot of content on the timeline page without checking for red links you're creating, and just leave those for others to solve. It unnecessarily creates the image of an unfinished/incomplete wiki page. Go at a slower pace, and fix the red links first. Affiliated, check if a page may already exist like the Howitzer page, for which you created the artillery page. And you created Find a way into the Sierra Army Base with a full stop at the end, you should know that's a rather big quest that very likely would already exist on our wiki. Just typing it in the search bar would already give a result. We don't use full stops here with pages. So more care please, that's how we like to see it on our wiki. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:52, October 18, 2019 (UTC)

We don't have an icon parameter for location pages. The type parameter is used to place the icon in the top right corner of the infobox. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:56, October 18, 2019 (UTC)

Nukapedia - Vault Merger: voting has reopenedEdit

As you may have already seen, voting for the proposed merger has been reopened. Voting was originally postponed so that users could better discuss the proposal, and after a lengthy conversation, that forum has since come to a close. For more information, please see the discussion itself. The post is a little lengthy, but if you are truly interested in making an informed decision, I would recommend reading through it.

Because this discussion may or may not affect how you voted initially or your rationale at the time, please review your post so that it reflects your current beliefs accurately.

This is only a notice of open polls and is not soliciting a change of vote. This is a generic talk page message intended only as for any and all voters, so as to avoid any indication of bias towards a particular outcome. Voting is slated to end on 5:01 pm November 1, 2019 (UTC).

The formal vote can be found here.

The Dyre Wolf (talk) 11:23, October 28, 2019 (UTC)

Just leave that page as it is for now, is of later concern. Please check my corrections on your edits today by me if you can. You're uploading images from the Vault that we already have here, it's taking me unnecessary time to correct it. Also, work on the timeline page to solve all the red links there (I believe you're doing that already). I don't want unnecessary ones on such an important page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:14, November 5, 2019 (UTC)

You really don't have to pace yourself to get the merge done, as you call it. You can take all the time you need, there is no rush. I don't believe the Vault will be deleted in any short time, if even at all. Ask Tagaziel, he will probably know. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:28, November 5, 2019 (UTC)
I solved almost all red links on the timeline page. Don't leave (unnecessary) red links on a page, and try to solve them while you're at it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:42, November 5, 2019 (UTC)
You need to take much more time and care with these imports from the Vault. I need to check everything and make many corrections. We have different standards here when it comes to leaving pages behind properly. I also don't want these red links left all over the place. If you leave one, solve it. We also don't need pages for every thinkable subject. Slow down. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:39, November 6, 2019 (UTC)
You added all these red links on the Timeline page again. I take it you will be solving these. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:47, November 6, 2019 (UTC)
When you move pages, you also need to update navboxes. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:50, November 6, 2019 (UTC)
Check your red links on files too. (Capitol Post). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:53, November 6, 2019 (UTC)

Samuel BlackwellEdit

I suppose so. Also, check my edits today if you can, so you can see what you can improve in your edits. Care and take time when you add/replace content, especially avoid unnecessary red links (category Fallout 4 terminals, also a security door error, pagenamend, name parameter, categories.) And update links when you move pages, navboxes, sex instead of gender, proper filenames. etcetera. Check your page when its done. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:37, November 7, 2019 (UTC)

I made an effort years ago to replace the pagenamend (uses the page name) with the real text. It looks better when editing. I spent a lot of time making this pages looking neat and overviewable when editing it, so people following me in editing know better where and how to place the content. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:24, November 7, 2019 (UTC)
You mean terminal instead of Terminal? It's done like that as long as I remember it, since Fallout 3 terminals. The terminal entries themselves are as they are in-game. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:31, November 7, 2019 (UTC)
Just the name of the terminal is decapped if there's not a proper noun in it. The rest is as it is spelled in-game. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:42, November 7, 2019 (UTC)

As I told before, you need to take more care and check if pages already exist. With the last one it was even real easy. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:36, November 8, 2019 (UTC)You n

Why did you undo the link formatting on the page? Furthermore, the terminals should not be capitalized per policy. Furthermore, there is nothing ironic going on there. Great Mara (talk) 17:13, November 8, 2019 (UTC)

And Js has already told you as much about terminals in a prior message. Great Mara (talk) 17:18, November 8, 2019 (UTC)

Trapper (far harbor) Edit

that page already exists in the form of Trappers (Far Harbor) same for Trapper (fallout 2) already exists in the form of Trappers (Fallout 2) so I removed the content from those pages and put nominated for deletion on the you should probably check to make sure pages aren't already made before you do it 16:03, November 13, 2019 (UTC)

stop re-adding the information to those pages they already exist in the forms of Trappers (Far Harbor) and Trappers (Fallout 2) so stop adding information to redundant pages please 16:17, November 13, 2019 (UTC)

Today's reviewEdit

I just had to spend 2,5 hours, making 100 edits, correcting yours. Too many slip-ups too mention, I suggest you browse my edits tomorrow to see what went wrong and learn from it. I rather not have this become a daytime job. Generally, you need to investigate better and care more what you leave behind. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:11, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

You can also make these uploaded images more compact, like I did with the Brotherhood elder's robe images. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:18, November 14, 2019 (UTC)

We dont have a dialogue page for him, probably won't be created I think. Though his dialogue (with others as well) can be found on Whitespring surveillance recordings. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:04, November 16, 2019 (UTC)

Needing and having the resources of getting it are two different things. Just link to that recording file/section. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:12, November 16, 2019 (UTC)

Dont create these disambiguation pages with nothing new in them. You can click on these pages right away in the search bar. We do things differently here than the Vault. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:07, November 16, 2019 (UTC)

I dont agree with adding unused content. If you have proper content for it, then add it, not before. Also check your changes on a page afterwards with the history. You removed some content from the Sierra Madre Casino's infobox. Dont know about the Mariposa Base. it stood for so long without comments, I'd say leave it as is. You could ask around in the merger chat. Also leave the Mechanist as is, that name is the most recognizable (it Isabel, not Isabelle). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:15, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

We dont use the icon parameter for location infoboxes. I'll give you three days to write that unused content in the page, otherwise I'll remove it again. You can rename Sierra Madre Casino (hotel) to Sierra Madre Resort & Casino to better distinguish it from the Sierra Madre's Casino interior, and renaming the Villa clinic. Update the links to it. Dont know of where it states that Lily traveled with Tabitha to Black Mountain before leaving for Jacobstown; leave it open if you dont know. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:55, November 21, 2019 (UTC)

I'm tired and its late out here in Holland. I don't hope to wake up and have to correct a many things or answer many questions ok? Take your time on everything. I'll get back to this one tomorrow.

Check what you leave behind, I already told you earlier. You left a red link in the navbox. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:38, November 21, 2019 (UTC)
Template:Wikiportal:Dead Money/Contents‎‎

Sierra MadreEdit

That's ok, you can go ahead with these three questions. (You can decap the casino in this case because its an interior). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:47, November 23, 2019 (UTC)

Yes, already said ok. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:53, November 23, 2019 (UTC)

Cultural referencesEdit

Reverted your cultural reference page edit. You added a total of more that 50 red links to our wanted pages in one edit, and almost every one of the is a page here, in a slightly different format. Why are you doing this? I already told you about these links. Slow down and do it in small sections, and do your investigation on the pages we have here (search on a red linked article to find how we named it here). Don't you think by yourself when you leave this links, this is rather sloppy and uncaring? We have all the time in the world to make this a good merge, don't speed it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:08, November 30, 2019 (UTC)

You missed it, but I already renamed our Wright's child to Wright teenager and created Wright child, and adjusted the links to it. On top of that, I solved all red links on Fallout 2 cultural references. Not that hard if you spend some more time on it. As you know by now, I dislike unneeded red links. Maybe you can work on the ones you created on the timeline page, or others on Special:Wantedpages. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:38, December 3, 2019 (UTC)

Quest namesEdit

They've been here without full stop for more than 10 years now (even created like that probably), so just leave it like that. Hub Dowtown is fine as it is too. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:12, December 6, 2019 (UTC)

By the time you get to the full stop in the search bar, the quest name will have appeared 10 minutes ago. Full stop not necessary as a redirect. Hub Downtown sound like a proper noun to me. Other downtowns are also capped. Leave it like that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:12, December 6, 2019 (UTC)

Ismael AshurEdit

Leave the Ashur page like it is, or otherwise give a good reason to use the new one. The Vault's one is difficult to read, doesn't weigh in to the references, ours is more split in sections. General I like ours better. Not everything that's on the Vault has to be brought here it it's not an improvement. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:16, December 7, 2019 (UTC)

New year, new attitudeEdit

First solve all unneeded red links when creating a new page, then create it. I don't want to start correcting your red links all over again. (just corrected all your images again...) Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:33, January 3, 2020 (UTC)

For now redirect just all plants to their consumable. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:35, January 3, 2020 (UTC)

1) "Mass Pike Tunnel East" or "Mass Pike tunnel east"

I don't know. The other Mass Pike tunnels are also capped. Just leave it as is I think...
On second thought, doesn't really seem a proper noun. I suppose you can decap those tunnels then...

2) Shouldn't "Walter (Fallout 4)" should be redirected to a disambiguation page as there are three "Walter"s in Fallout 4. ie "Walter (Walden Pond)", "Walter Scott", and "Walter (The Institute)".

Walter (Fallout 4) is a character appearing in the game so more important than the mentioned one (Institute). To reflect that leave the page name as is I reckon.
Suppose Walter (Walden Pond) is ok. Not raider because you won't know what game he comes from.

3) Shouldn't the faction "The Forged" be named "The Forged" as there is a generic raider named "Forged"?

If you can create a page with decent content for the Forged character, than you can split those yes. Faction would be The Forged, character page would be Forged. But spend time and care on both, character one must also be a meaningful page.
Actually, leave the page as it is... the character Forged is already combined on that same page. With Fallout 4, we started combining the faction/character pages more. About the name, for example all Category:Nuka-World factions don't have the The preceding the name (except The Pack, probably rename it). I slightly favor it without the preceding The, bit the same as leaving title out of a character's page name. Fallout 4 Raider page split was a good one and is an exception, it's a nice overview of all different related factions, something that can't be done for the smaller factions.
Characters are already implemented in the faction page. We started doing that since Fallout 4. Seems to work.
As I said, from Fallout 4 onwards we merged character and faction pages.

4) Since "The Silver Shroud" is both the name of a media franchise and the name of the quest in Fallout 4 shouldn't they be split with the page names "The Silver Shroud (quest)", "The Silver Shroud" for the franchise, and "Silver Shroud" for the fictional character?

Silver Shroud can hold both the character as the franchise. Though I'm not sure what you mean by the franchise but it could be on one page I think.
If you have the decent content for the "entire history of the franchise, radio, tv and comics", you can create a page The Silver Shroud (franchise) for it I reckon. Don't need a disambig page for 2 or 3 entries, they're right there in the search bar.
Yes, you could say the SS content (as an example) is too intellectually challenging for your average reader. A wall of text, and it's not that easy too read. I couldn't keep my attention reading it and would leave the page less than halfway through. Needs to be much shorter, it's going astray. (Generally, larger content could also be split up in subsections as done by Dave on the Master page.). You don't know this, but it's something I discussed with Tagaziel. The Vault has an academic writing style (mostly by Tagaziel, maybe some of yourself) and it doesn't rub off that well here for your average user to read. We have an easier to read style, shorter backgrounds, more concrete. I've asked him to keep this into account, and also ask you to do this. Create a separate page for the franchise and put most of that content there if that would work. Leave the Silver Shroud mostly as is.
No, I don't mean sections as in Boston/The Fens, but rather subheaders on the page itself, chopping it up in chunks. Like the Master's background has six subheaders. Also try to work on the style, make it a bit shorter and easier to read.

5) "Slocum's Joe Corporate HQ" or "Slocum's Joe corporate HQ"

Capped or not capped will probably always be a topic of discussion on the wiki. Leave it as it is now, not sure.

6) There are two difference "Bodyguard"s in Fallout 4, shouldn't they be split between "Bodyguard (AJ)" and "Bodyguard (Northy)"?

Bodyguard (Fallout 4) can hold both characters, a bit like Bodyguard (Fallout: New Vegas) which also applies to multiple bodyguards.

7) Isn't there a generic character in Fallout 4 named "Sinjin's Gang"?

Yes, they're "Smiling Kate flunkies", just checked with the Creation Kit. You can create a page for it. But again, spend some quality time on it, not just dump a generic character template there with nothing in it.

Also can I clean up the disambiguation page for "Bodyguard"? There are many many pages on there that don't have "Bodyguard" in the title.

Is a bit of a special case. Gives a little bit of added information, leave that one as it is. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:24, January 7, 2020 (UTC)

District pagesEdit

I reverted the district pages you changed. The Boston page becomes way too large and filled with background from wikipedia, and is also a bit difficult/too long to read for your common teenager. Ours is more compact and easier to read. We don't need so much info from wikipedia, as you could see we rely more on the VDSG and ingame sources. Also again those dozens of red links and categories. I don't want them on the pages. You need to take more time before you change content, there is no rush. Already told you these things many times. Also the policy is you need to merge and not wholesale replace content. We've also done a decent job here at occassion, with the district pages I feel our content is prefered with smaller portions. And we use the term district, not neighborhood. First do some investigation before you start adding content, and slow down. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:24, January 10, 2020 (UTC)

You use way too many wikipedia links. People are only interested in that to a degree. We are not a real-world encyclopedia, but a game encyclopedia, and need to use primarily in-game sources like the VDSG, terminal entries, holodisks and notes, dialogue files. If you look at Washington, D.C., there's clearly a difference with your Boston page. It doesn't even have wikipedia links and the content of the sections is much shorter in an easy to read style. You'll only see one wikipedia link on the separate pages. You created many (wikipedia) links and it's too much real world info. I'm not sure what to do with it, I suppose you could trim the larger sections down to more readable size avoiding red links. That just looks bad. I don't want to see unnecessary ones otherwise I'll revert it again (you could also ask around in the merge chat to ask people what they think for more opinions). Leave the District pages as they are with a link to the Boston section if people want to read some added background was my idea. There are enough references, that's not the problem, but mind the style. If you create large content again, do it in small sections. I'm getting very nervous if I see whole sections replaced with 50000 bytes of new content. Put it in small packages, take more time, no red links, so others can check it easier. Also leave summary comments. You added many unmarked locations with exotic names, leave those out. You add these links without regard it seems, with an attitude of I put it here, you all solve the problems. Our wiki has always been a neat and tidy one, and you ravage around in it on occasion. You need to be much more subtle, and do you your research. Just today you created two disambig pages with at least 5 red links and they were all solvable, done by a few others. To prove my point. Also use preview before you save. About the districts, I may be willing to change that, discuss that in chat too. Also would have to be done with care, with category changes etc. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 23:31, January 12, 2020 (UTC)
There's too much info of the page of its history before the divergence. I should a bit be more summarized, less wikipedia links, no red links (or very few and try to solve them). Those looks bad.

Boston page has too much real world info. Cut considerable chunks off of Beacon Hill, Boston Common and Boston Harbor. Maybe a bit of the other sections.

  1. I've created the Boston streets page. First done a preview looking for red links. Then I renamed the files, they need to be descriptive. Then I created it. You first should have done do that before adding all that Boston content. Solves one red link.
  2. Boston Neighborhoods map clearly doesn't work here. You could have seen that in preview. Just leave it out.
  3. It these three are red links and they're not pages on The Vault just remove the brackets. Or create decent pages for them.
  4. Page it called Paul Revere House here. How much effort is it to change the link into that? Same thing for Hesters CR and Financial District. Just use our naming.
  5. Then redirect cholera to diseases before you would save a changed Boston page.
  6. Unlink London. EAP and the Cask could be become wikipedia links.
  7. If swan boat is a world object, then create a decent page for it.
  8. I don't know. Redirect Roxbury to West Roxbury I think. Fallon's department store is the link, not Fallon's Departent Store. Or redirect it.
  9. Boston Port Autority isn't a page on The Vault, so remove the link here. Or research it and create a decent page.
  10. You could copy the media page from the Vault to here. Solve all the red links. (Create a page for Invaders from Planet Zed! too while you're at it. It's also a link on Timeline. There are more red linked pages on Timeline you created that need solving.)
  11. Mwah, the one in General Atomics Galleria conflicts with its name with the other department store. Leave it I reckon, not that significant.
  12. South End is a red link on The Vault. Remove the link or redirect it.
  13. You added a lot of suffices (Page (The Fens)). Leave out The Fens suffix. Don't add those location links if you don't plan to create the page. Fallout 4 is considered mostly complete and I don't want dozens of red-linked unmarked locations on an overview page at this stage anymore. So investigate the location in the game, and add decent content. After that you can add the link on the overview.
  14. About Dalton and Corpse, if these kind of ambig pages exist on our wiki, they've all been investigated and have good links. You don't have to change it, or do your investigation if you edit it and create a red link. You can use the search bar, type in a name to get some ideas. You could have discovered the H&H Tool Company doing that.
  15. We don't need a bodyguard category, not significant enough. They're already listed on the bodyguard page.
  16. If there are corpes in Dead Money, you could create a page Corpse (Dead Money) for it. But first create it, then add it to the overview. Not the other way around. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:23, January 14, 2020 (UTC)

Silver ShroudEdit

Leave the The Silver Shroud and Silver Shroud for what they are and create The Silver Shroud (franchise) page.

  1. Not sure. I've directed it to the header Commonwealth, which works.
Maybe it doesn't work because it has muliple linkables on the same line.
  1. Leave FNV maize for what it is. I've created the corn overview page and put The Vault's maize content in it.
  2. Point Lookout tribal and Point Lookout tribals are too similar. The latter redirects to the first. That's why the Point Lookout tribals (faction) is named as it is.
Point Lookout tribals doesn't exist I see now. Leave it for what it is.
  1. Not sure about Suffolk County charter school. Should be ok I suppose. Ask some native American speakers in chat what they think. Will always be a topic of discussion I guess, to cap or not.
  2. Resting grounds page, leave it as is I think.

Also, can you slow down? If you make so many edits, the only thing I'm doing today is checking your edits, for hours. And it needs checking. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:13, January 18, 2020 (UTC)

You left many red links on the food page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:24, January 18, 2020 (UTC)

More stuffEdit

  • Radscorpion and deathclaw omelette disambig page suppose it's ok, because it has four entries, just enough I guess.
  • Leave Prime choice select as a redirect. I've checked with the tool F2wEdit and there it's called Iguana-on-a-stick (proto 103), but we already have an entry for that (081), and renamed it Iguana bits. Not sure where prime choice select comes from. Very hard to place name as well.
  • You can add marsala wine to the alcohol page. Has already some mentioned-only entries so what's one more.
  • Suppose it's a proper noun... I'm ok with renaming it Battle Brew.

As said avoid red links, and take it slower. You do read our content before you replace/add on it right? It's policy. I'm having trouble keeping up with you. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:00, January 19, 2020 (UTC)

50 cal machine gunEdit

The reason I removed the section calling the Fallout 76 50 cal mg a Browning M2 was because of wiki policy. Unless a developer or in game source refers to a weapon as being related to a real world weapon it isn't mentioned.

Its why you see plenty of references to real world weapons on Fallout: New Vegas weapon pages, because a dev (Joshua Sawyer) stated in interviews that those real world weapons were the basis of the in game weapons. Compare that too Fallout 3, where very few weapons have notes regarding their similarity to real world weapons.

Sorry for the wall of text, Aiden4017 (talk) 06:38, January 20, 2020 (UTC)

Why did you undo my edit without an explanation?--Branebriar1930 (talk) 18:20, January 22, 2020 (UTC)

Alright then, guess that makes sense.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Branebriar1930 (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Jamaica PlainEdit

Can you trim Jamaica Plain's background to about 3/4 its size? It's a bit too long I think. People lose interest in reading such long chunks of text, make it a bit more compact. Also check your links, they're not all leading to the correct page. Also you need to get rid of those red links. If they don't exist, and the Vault doesn't have a good link as well, unlink them, or create a page for it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:02, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

  1. No, it's a bit long
  2. NM. grid and chain are going, not worth a page. Roxbury probably a redirect to West Roxbury
  3. Leave our layout intact I think, it's already good size and quality. Not everything does have to be merged you know. We have some good content too and can be left as is.
  4. You can add image needed if a page still needs an image of the skeleton. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 14:21, January 26, 2020 (UTC)
Not sure what you mean by the skeleton scenes, you mean the characters Sal, Luke Silverhand, Carl Everett, Ken Standish and Tanya Standish? Rest of the questions has been reviewed. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 19:07, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

If some Fallout 4 locations have skeletons that are in interesting poses, you can add an image needed tag. But don't make it more than a handful. You have to run that second question by me again, and rephrase it. Maybe an example. Didn't understand. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:04, January 26, 2020 (UTC)

Voice actorsEdit

Quit annoying me. I think with 10 years, and +10,000 hours of experience on the wiki I kind a know how we handle voice actors/holotapes for skeletons. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:39, January 28, 2020 (UTC)

Fallout 4 locationsEdit

I don't see any location names on Gamepedia's Fallout 4 map page. Don't know what you mean, you have to be more specific. If you want to place unmarked locations here (already warning in advance, told you before about this, you can put them in your sandbox, unlinked. I don't want these red links on the wiki, for pages that are probably going the stay red for a long long time. Give me a link so I can judge it better. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:23, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

Right. I see it now. You can add those locations there like on The Vault, just unlink everything that's red linked. If someone sees that page later on, he can create the page, and only then link that one page on the Fallout 4 map page. Don't worry about the type parameter, we have every parameter setting/icon for it, can be read in the {{Infobox location}} Admins can easily correct it if someone creates a location page and doesn't know the parameter. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:40, February 1, 2020 (UTC)

More stuffEdit

You need to rename the files before you upload them to here, they dont have proper names. Also, again, W: isnt working here, is wikipedia: And where did you find Clark's first name? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 00:16, February 2, 2020 (UTC)

Look. AllYourFavorites has been so kind as to move the files to a proper name, a good example. Generally, just make the picture's name to what it displays. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:07, February 2, 2020 (UTC)
You're making me and AYF work again for you today. I spent I dont know 2 hours or so checking everything on all the Beaver Creek Lanes related pages, AYF had to correct a lot of stuff there already as well. For the third time or so, check what you leave behind, using history. You changed Far Harbor tags back to Fallout 4, just copy pasting content from the Vault. Really, be more careful. This is not acceptable from a veteran Vault user. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:22, February 2, 2020 (UTC)
We just went over this. Rename those files before you upload them. Come on. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 22:58, February 8, 2020 (UTC)

Can you check this passage on the Aubert page? It's confusing: Not sure who is who and sentence construction isnt good.

"After their previous high confessor Martin disappeared and Tektus took over. She saw his growing paranoia as a concern, particularly due to Aubert's closeness to him. Albert however, believed that even if the new high confessor had a problem his friend Brian Richter would tell him. He did urge her to continue to use their shared footlocker in the storage room to share message to avoid the gossip that spread so easily in their community.[5]" Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:14, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

Also, the references on this page are a bit overdone, dont you think? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:25, February 11, 2020 (UTC)
You added even more references, still the section I mentioned above remains unchanged. Sentence/section isnt understandable. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:45, February 18, 2020 (UTC)
There's improvement but "After their previous high confessor Martin disappeared and Tektus took over." still isnt a good sentence. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:54, February 18, 2020 (UTC)

Edit-Warring Edit

Hey, Ant

I'm gonna take this chance to direct you to this forum since you're one of the participants of the merging project.

Specifically, I'd like you to understand that we're about to start cracking down hard on edit-warring especially. I've had some complaints about your recent changes to Martin (Far Harbor). Whether you are right or wrong isn't really relevant - an editor disagreed with you, reverted you, and in these cases, we fully expect both parties to talk matters through before making further edits to the respective article(s). If an understanding can't be reached, please reach out to an administrator or content moderator to act as a mediator and help resolve disputes.

I'm sorry, but this is an official warning. I don't like having to do this, but edit-warring is becoming increasingly common, and that's not something the wiki can tolerate. You ain't the only one I'm having to look at, so please understand that this isn't a warning towards just you. Happy editing, though, and I'll be looking forward to seeing more of you around the wiki, even under these circumstances. 寧靜 Fox 22:27, February 11, 2020 (UTC)

Block Edit

Hello, Ant

It's unfortunate that I'm having to come to you like this, but I just gave you an official warning regarding your edit-warring just the other day, and I'm afraid I have to stick to my guns on this matter after seeing the farce that went down on the Bert Riggs article.

Once your 3-day block is up, please start getting mediators involved when these sorts of disputes come up. I promise you that the minor inconvenience of contacting an administrator, will save you a lot of trouble and arguing down the line. It's especially silly when you're willing to break the rules over something as mundane as favoured terminology - it's just not worth it.

As site bans also extend to the chat medium, I'll also have to boot you from the Discord server - but you are welcome back once your three days are up. Looking forward to seeing you back in a few days. 寧靜 Fox 07:03, February 15, 2020 (UTC)

Look at this sentence on Kane (Far Harbor): "A devout and zealous Child, he is quite pleased if Far Harbor becomes engulfed in the Fog, executed (or believed to have executed) the heretic Sister Gwyneth." The last part isnt quite understandable. Proofread what you add. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:59, February 18, 2020 (UTC)

Last part still doesn't read well. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:34, February 18, 2020 (UTC)

Block Cont. Edit

Meant to get to this earlier, but I'm here because of your edit-war with AllYourFavourites on the 19th, a day after your prior ban expired. Look, I'm sorry, but this needs to stop. You may not agree with our rules regarding this matter, but these are rules voted in by the community, and they need to be abided by if you're going to continue editing here.

This block is set at 5-days - I was hoping to help you get your forum pushed out today, but it looks like you're not going to be able to do that. If you'd like me to go ahead and post that forum for you in your stead, we can discuss that further over Discord.

Look, man, I really want you here. You're a damn good editor, and you do a lot for the wiki. But you've got to stop with the edit-warring. When your block is up, we'll talk more on helping you get through your latest editor disputes. 寧靜 Fox 03:38, February 21, 2020 (UTC)

I'll look into those dialogues. Think our computer page is faring pretty well but if you want to add some redlinked entries from the Vault to here, it's ok. Just don't link them here. If you create a page, then add the link, not before. I updated Joshua Graham myself, you corrected some grammar but also made it worse in some places. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:27, March 24, 2020 (UTC)

There were a few br's you reverted that were already ok. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:54, March 24, 2020 (UTC)

Can you put your suggestion in a sandbox? Not split everything into separate games. Fo1/Fo2/FoT one page, Fo3/NV one page, and Fo4/Fo76 one page, like several other world object pages. Not sure if it has enough content then but you can give it a try. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:52, March 27, 2020 (UTC)

You can add those locations (unlinked if red) to the Fallout 4 map page, as done on The Vault. I don't accept that new terminal sandbox. It's about copied straight from The Vault. Only thing I would accept is the Fallout 76 content. Also needs to stay a world object page, not with that overview box top right. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:16, March 28, 2020 (UTC)
Generally, it has become too technical, and a lot of our content has disappeared. Appearantly someone rewrote the article on the Vault. I was thinking it was worth a try splitting it in an overview (Terminal) with links to Terminal (Fallout) which would be a page for Fo1, Fo2 and FoT, Terminal (Fallout 3) - a page for Fallout3/FNV and Terminal (Fallout 4) - a page for Fallout 4/76 as we have done for several world object pages. I'll let you investigate but you need to integrate our content too. Don't become too technical or at least explain it, maybe with the help of images or so. I'm working on the dialogues. I've not done individual dialogues yet, just the generic. I'll look into it in the week to come. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:47, March 29, 2020 (UTC)
The terminal entries don't need such an important place on the terminal pages, if any. We already have a Terminal entry page which handles the entries. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 21:58, March 29, 2020 (UTC)
Yes, split by game but not a page for every game, as I just pointed out. You can replace our Terminal entry page with what you quoted, seems to be an improvement and more to the point. See what you can make of it all. Just remember what I said about our content. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:41, March 30, 2020 (UTC)

( Terminal game pages should be singular, I've changed it, with a redirect for now. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:51, March 31, 2020 (UTC)

See Fallout 3 terminal entries, where I changed Terminals (Fallout 3) to singular Terminal (Fallout 3). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:14, April 1, 2020 (UTC)

Fine, i Won't do it again with out comment or reference--Branebriar1930 (talk) 12:59, March 29, 2020 (UTC)

Proofreading & copy-pastingEdit

Hi Ant, when you're mass creating pages can you preview and do a quick proofread before publishing please. There are some typos which you are copy-pasting onto multiple pages while creating them. Thanks. --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 08:42, April 2, 2020 (UTC)

Gwinnett RestaurantEdit

I'm ok with moving it to Gwinnett Restaurant. Don't include "The" in this case I think, it can be missed here. We have similar pages like that (Prydwen, Citadel, however some locations also have "The" included from recollection). Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:43, April 2, 2020 (UTC)

Crandon Edit

I suppose hes technically part of the FEZNV, but i just changed it because North vegas is not a place on its own.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 14:43, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Guess you can put affiliation and location as north vegas square and make one not as a link--Branebriar1930 (talk) 14:45, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Yeah named westside residents have the same issue, ill fix them up--Branebriar1930 (talk) 15:49, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

The or notEdit

Yeah, like I said, both are used. We don't have a right policy for it from what I can recall. Until now we have used judgment on a case to case base. Suppose for the locations preceded with "The", we use the map markers. I'll rename The Citadel, The Prydwen, The Gwinnett Restaurant and and The Shamrock Taphouse (those are the ones I have spotted until now), and see how other react to it... Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:12, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

town affiliation issue Edit

looks like most settlements have this issue actually. ive fixed westside and novac but it might getting messy in places like freeside which is a dumping ground of different factions. primm and goodsprings would be a good place to start if you wanna fix em?--Branebriar1930 (talk) 17:11, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

North vegas residents are actual members though, but i don't really mind denizen. However westside does have the same quasi-faction status as north vegas square, as NVS is a certified settlement that makes up a quarter of New vegas, so i thing whatever we do to one wehave to apply to the other--Branebriar1930 (talk) 18:18, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

as you have said Novac goodsprings etc are settlements AND factions. Both westside and NVS are ONLY settlements. yet one does have mini factions WITHIN that settlement(co op, westside militia). I reckon the safest thing to do for westside and NVS is to affiliate only members of those subfactions with their given faction(Tom anderson - co op etc.) and everyone else just denizen or residents. all NVS residents (named and unnamed) can just be affiliated with 'NVS denizens'.

Now that i think about it primm actually falls under the same category as westside, as it doesn't don't have a specific 'town faction', nor any reputation icon. but does also have a sub faction (mojave express). what do you think?--Branebriar1930 (talk) 18:43, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

primm Edit

i know thats what im saying. its the same as westside being the town and the militia and co op being the factions.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 19:02, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

No i don't think that would be fair to say. Factions don't always represent the settlements they are based out of. that would be like saying diamond city residents are are all part of the diamond city security faction.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 19:15, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

Honestly i think ill just return everything back to how it was before just to be safe.--Branebriar1930 (talk) 19:15, April 3, 2020 (UTC)

The or notEdit

Keep "The" if it has a map marker with it, think we've done the most now. "The Gwinnett Restaurant", "The Shamrock Taphouse" and "The General's Steakhouse" are proper nouns, and they are named like that already. Same goes for "The Prydwen" and "The Citadel", I renamed them. Keep "The Island" as it is, otherwise it loses its recognizability. I'd consider it a proper noun here. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:10, April 4, 2020 (UTC)

Can you see who banned you there? I'll look into it. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:27, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

Ask Bleep first if he did it. Otherwise I'll ask around in the overseer's desk. Doesn't seem right. You can go ahead with those location comment, looks ok. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 20:38, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

Re: Companion commentsEdit

Adding XXXXXX when you don't know the location of the comments doesn't look very good. Just readd that part of the sentence when the specific location is known. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 20:53, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

To be fair, you are adding these to the pages. I've readded the clarify tags but try not to include the XXXXXXs. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 20:58, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

Re: RevereEdit

I'd be fine with that, assuming that it acts as an overview for the locations that make up Revere. However, the Gamepedia page for Revere Beach station redirects to just "Revere"...not sure about that. It might need some formatting changes once it's imported. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 21:53, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

  1. The districts of Boston use that icon on both wikis, so I went with that precedent.
  2. Not sure, but it's easy to figure out that's at least in the exterior of the boardwalk based on the context clues and from the dialogue notes.
  3. Other area pages like Nahant use "sections," so that's what I went with.
  4. If there's more sources referring to the boardwalk or the town itself, then that can be added.
  5. Maybe add a new section for the unmarked locations?
  6. Those could be added as bullet lists under new sections, perhaps.
  7. I'm not sure about that one, but I made it into a link because the entire table would include locations not part of the station.

AllYourFavorites! (talk) 23:19, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

If you want to ask someone else about the icons, feel free, because I think it'd be good to have another voice on that. I'll add the clarify tag. Transclusion wouldn't be best here because the table has reactions that aren't in the station, if that's how we're tackling the pages from my understanding. AllYourFavorites! (talk) 23:41, April 11, 2020 (UTC)

Every location that doesn't have the type parameter filled in, now displays the blank icon. Crude, but it works as far as I can see. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:49, April 12, 2020 (UTC)

An ambiguation page needs at least two characters that have the same first name, without a last name, in two different games. Winthrop is the only one without a last name from a certain game, so there doesn't to be a disambig page. If there were to be a Winthrop in let's say Fallout 76, you'd have a Winthrop (Fallout 76), and only then you would rename Winthrop to Winthrop (Fallout 3), and a disambiguation Winthrop would be valid. Don't create <name> (disambiguation) pages, need to keep that naming as low as possible. Only very need to have it, for characters appearing in multiple games like Henry and Harold. Rename them like I just explained. Chelsea and Winthrop disambig are not needed at this point. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 17:53, April 12, 2020 (UTC)

There aren't enough (valuable) entries for a Chelsea page. Some are mentioned, and only one character matters. The other Chelsea pages don't matter enough here. Like I just explained, if there had been another Chelsea character, for example in Fallout 76, you'd create a Chelsea (Fallout 76) page for it and you'd have a good reason to rename Chelsea to Chelsea (Nuka-World) to distinguish/differ it from the other. That would create a Chelsea page which would be a redirect. And then you could update that redirect to a disambiguation page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:15, April 12, 2020 (UTC)

The ScribeEdit

The Scribe asking to trade has nothing to do with his positions on the Brotherhood. We've had this discussion before, regarding adding irrelevant information. I could understand if you added a red link for the Brotherhood soldier's dialogue, but there isn't even a name attached, just "[[]]." Don't bother asking me to find the name because you don't want to do it, and just want to "wash your hands" of your edits, like you've put it before. AllYourFavorites! Location commentsEdit

Yes, I've noticed those location comment, a nice addition. You can create a project, not sure about participants but go ahead and try. I can't see how you get can the information easily from the GECK but I do know it comes from comments in the "AO_Comment_Dialogue" dialogue section. Suppose you'll have to select a companion, fast travel to a location and then hear what they say... Labor intensive. You can add these instructions to your project page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 18:53, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

If it helps a youtube channel, FluffyNinjaLlama, has compilations of different companion reactions by location. Reason I'm recommending them is they don't do any commentary, and the video usually shows them walking to the comment triggers. Aiden4017 (talk) 21:56, April 21, 2020 (UTC)

Reference guideline projectEdit

Hello! I am happy to help out with the guidelines. I gave it a cursory glance and it is exceptional, thank you for all your hard work. Please let me know how I can help or what you would have me do. -Kate (Kdarrow (talk) 05:52, April 29, 2020 (UTC))

Of course, credit where credit is due! You are a good teammate. I am happy to go through it and throw in my two cents. Thanks for including me! -Kate (Kdarrow (talk) 06:01, April 29, 2020 (UTC))

Referencing funEdit

Hello! Good questions. I am of the opinion that we should use the technical link and then a descriptor such as (FortCaesar.txt|Caesar's dialogue). This is two-fold, as it heads directly to the source file while being easy to understand. This may work to the benefit of referencing characters such as Oliver Swanick, whose dialogue file is named Nipton Survivor.
For the guide, if our intended audience is editors, the first example shown should be a simple one they can follow as a template. It is a good idea to show examples at the end of what differences (tooltips, brackets, and the like) to expect for different games. -Kate (Kdarrow (talk) 15:14, April 30, 2020 (UTC))

Yes, this is the format I use. I use a semicolon and then a comma. Go us!

Why reference towards an archived page? Just reference toward the original page, isn't it there to stay indefinitely? Btw, your reference page is huge, and hard to follow for anyone. As long as it will be a guideline, and not a policy. You can't expect people following it to the letter, it requires a day's work of inspection alone to figure out how it all works. We don't have specific Fallout Bible reference guidelines as far as I know. N.B. archive link doesn't work on the bottom of the references sandbox page. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:08, May 5, 2020 (UTC)

Determining genderEdit

Thanks for asking me! The way I determine is, either if they are referred to by others in dialogue files or source texts by a pronoun (he or she). I never assume when a character has a first name initial or are referred to only by the last name. This is just "Kate policy" though, and I am not sure of an official one. I suggest asking L84tea, she is very knowledgeable and has taught me a lot about various policies. -Kate (Kdarrow (talk) 15:44, May 12, 2020 (UTC))

Hello (and now I see who dobbed me in :P)! AFAIK there is no official policy stating what sex is canon for the player character where it is not stated in either the games or supplementary material. For example, the Lone Wanderer and the Vault Dweller has 'male' listed in the infobox because there's an official reference to them being male in canon. Personally I don't see a scenario in which we'd ever canonise (or I suppose in this case 'fanonise') the player character's gender in the absence of developer advice, due to the player's ability to customise this for themselves. If you wanted to canonise the gender of other player characters, it would likely be one for a Forum discussion - I know that I myself have strong feelings about canonising genders as a fandom.
Thinking about other fandoms which have to handle player characters without canonised genders... An example might be how the Mass Effect wiki addresses the use of Commander Shepard (the Fallout equivalent of this would be something like the Courier). This is different to how something like the Assassin's Creed wiki handles AC: Odyssey where the male & female protagonist options are actually different characters (the Fallout equivalent of this would be something like Nate/Nora in FO4). As a disclaimer, Kassandra is the confirmed canonical protagonist of AC:O but it was the only example I could think of off the top of my head. :D
I think "Kate policy" above is a pretty good rule of thumb. Use the pronouns provided officially and don't assume. Gender-neutral words and pronouns exist! I probably went off on a bit of a tangent there, but hopefully that's a little bit helpful? --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 02:36, May 13, 2020 (UTC)
No, no official policy as far as I'm aware. Probably isn't needed because it's confirmed canon so falls under canonicity. You're right, you can use male pronouns for the Vault Dweller and Chosen One because it's canon. That being said, there's not necessarily a need to change all 'they's to 'he's; it just means using 'he' isn't wrong, but using 'her' would be. --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 10:50, May 13, 2020 (UTC)
I don't think it needs an official policy as it's indirectly covered by canon policy. No need for a policy to say "The Vault Dweller is male for the purposes of the wiki" when we already have a general policy that effectively says "If it's canon, it belongs on the wiki". The former would be redundant because the argument would be "Of course the Vault Dweller is male for the purposes of the wiki, it is canon". This is not the same as if you were trying to say "The Sole Survivor is male for the purposes of the wiki" which would need some sort of community agreement because there's nothing which canonically designates the SS as male. Does that make sense? --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 11:38, May 13, 2020 (UTC)

Animation framesEdit

I like the name animation frames, fits the bill. I even got the name from The Vault a few years back, so its name origins from there (images I all created myself). If you want you can create a redirect from sprites, your choice. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:21, May 15, 2020 (UTC)

List of companiesEdit

You're gonna solve all those red links in that new sandbox page right? Seems to be a list we already have, Pre-War companies. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:43, May 18, 2020 (UTC)

Are several red links that already are a page here, you need to investigate that. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:44, May 18, 2020 (UTC)
Donaustahl GmbH is one of the examples you have in your sandbox page under Donaustahl. So check this and don't create duplicate pages. Pre-War companies are companies before the war, Post-War businesses companies set-up after the war obviously. Should remain separated I believe, otherwise the overview gets lost. Just refer to these pages on eachother's page (already done). If you want to create a list of brands, see if you can make something of it. First sort this sandbox of yours. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 15:55, May 18, 2020 (UTC)
How hard can it be to find Silver Star, and then not create the duplicate Silver Star (company). Are you even trying? Also, don't create unnecessary redirects. Jspoel Speech Jspoel 16:25, May 18, 2020 (UTC)
Paladin set it up a few years ago. Post-War business list is almost all locations; the name business is then more appropriate was his idea I suppose. Post-War companies list is much more actual companies. Just leave the names both like that, they already haves many subcategories too. We don't need an overview page, just link to each other on both pages. If you want, you can create a brand page. You can also create a separate Post-War businesses navbox, with content. Holotapes vs Terminal Entries Edit

Why are you adding the FO76 Terminal Entries category to Holotape pages? Richie9999 (talk) 20:08, May 25, 2020 (UTC)

I have left my thoughts on the talk page you so kindly linked. I suggest we continue discussing it til an agreement can be reached. Richie9999 (talk) 04:03, May 26, 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, I'll take a look. :) --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 11:06, June 7, 2020 (UTC)

The Old PostEdit

What tutorial are you refering to on The Old Post? Jspoel Speech Jspoel 13:51, June 7, 2020 (UTC)

Hey Ant, when you make new pages like Smart's which don't have any citations or references to where you got the information, it makes it really really difficult to make a case for not deleting them. Also, can you please proofread? Can you see what is missing from the Appearances section? --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 10:54, June 14, 2020 (UTC)

So that's a no to the proofreading? --L84tea Tea kettleWould you like a cup of tea? 13:17, June 14, 2020 (UTC)

Ant! Thank you so much for voting yes for me to be an admin. I promise to spend many more days trying to think of emojis that represent your merging activity. You rock :) -Kate (Kdarrow (talk) 09:44, July 20, 2020 (UTC))
