## GECK Check Edit

Howdy, GECKanon, could you take a look at Hanlon's page? Specifically the SPECIAL and karma? Also, you may want to revert your changes to your talkpage (the archiving) as your archive didn't work so the old messages have up and disappeared. Richie9999 (talk) 18:22, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

Sure thing, you can send me the link! I'm sure they're fine. I'm still thinking on how to respond to your character stat thread and how to tackle this. I've changed Arkansas to the possible new layout and am not sure if we should include these clothing stats. May get a bit crowded and do we need all this info are some of my thoughts. SPECIAL should remain 1 box in my opinion, it needs to stay compact. Get back to you on this. Jspoel 21:08, June 30, 2013 (UTC)
That's alright. Keep those images coming! Jspoel 21:52, June 30, 2013 (UTC)

## Disruptive anonEdit

I blocked the vandal messing with the Lucas Simms page for you! Hugs "Say 'ello to my little friend!"

## ImagesEdit

Beam Load 'em up, Scotty! You don't have to ask me anymore if I want to upload them, I will. Next time if you have more, you can send me the link right away. I know you're good for it. Jspoel 14:26, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

Here they are. Great shots, I have a remark though for a next time. Try to get them to face the sun, so that their face is without shadow. For example, you can see that the child slaver and Brotherhood Outcasts have some shadow. Best time to get the shot is around 12-1 o'clock mid-day; then you will have the best light. I did it with all my character mug shots. Jspoel 14:55, July 1, 2013 (UTC)

## Excellent work. Edit

Superb article you made in one go, well done. Glad you're with us. 09:17, July 4, 2013 (UTC)

I redid the {{SPECIAL}} template to automatically do the math and render the tooltips for modified SPECIAL. Check the forum or template doc page for usage. This should make things much easier to add. I'll look at making something similar for the tag skills and whatnot.  The Gunny   15:56, July 4, 2013 (UTC)

The work I did was to allow the special template's use in the modified template section we added to the infobox. I recall that most folks preferred adding the extra section over using parenthesis. You can use the new special template in both the base special section and modified special section. The Gunny   23:31, July 4, 2013 (UTC)

## Is that you? Edit

Did you make an account? Richie9999 (talk) 03:52, July 7, 2013 (UTC)

Shoulda just called it GECKanon.:P Richie9999 (talk) 03:56, July 7, 2013 (UTC)

## TedEdit

An in-game image precedes a GECK image. This is how he actually appears in the game. If I had resurrected him in the game I'd probably place that one in the footer. There's a bit inconsistence with for example the Broken Steel character images so that could still use some work. Jspoel 22:45, July 9, 2013 (UTC)

## Ze Project Edit

Eyo, Geckanon. Everything all hunky-dory? What's going on with the stats project business? Richie9999 (talk) 14:17, July 10, 2013 (UTC)

## Removing the tagsEdit

Hey, just wanna clarify; you were removing the voice actor tags I added because those characters never speak, right? Don't they say generic combat phrases and such? Because if so, they still have an assigned voice actor and that would be worth noting. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 02:27, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

Ah, okay. Thanks for clarifying. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 02:32, July 12, 2013 (UTC)

## That NPC dose NOT appear in game. Edit

It is a NOTE. It is a reference to a terminal note. Even if you can find it on GECK it is still ~ Just a tiny note.

You are as I said over steping. A page on this site should be more than one from a known, already posted page and some random raider images that are not specifically linked to this "noted" leader..

There is just to much fluff to make a page.

• Belive it or not this is not personal. You just over steped. It is not worthy a page.

It is a note. A note that is already on the Springvale school page. Sorry dude I know you mean to help but.. It has been covered and your added page is overly redundant. It would serve your reputation well to remove it your self.

SaintPainJust here to help." 04:24, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

GECK is not in game content unless it can show up as an encounter. In this case it is just data that in unworthy of a its own page.

• You are indeed fluffing up a referance to a note on a terminal and calling it more than it is. It is a note.

SaintPainJust here to help." 04:34, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

Your referance is on GECK and on the terminal in game but no more than that. Those raider images age not specific as in " This is the Boss in their male and or female spawning " Nope they are just random raiders you posted that could come from any raider screen shot.

I have read it again and again. The original page covered every thing as it apears IN GAME. It is redundant to the page already made. You should delete it.

SaintPainJust here to help." 04:51, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

I am not paid to be here. I will not let one individual ruin my play time.

I am tired of this lawyer crap. Enjoy the Free Pass.

• I have nothing more to say. YOU win.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.''

→George Bernard Shaw

DAMN IT MAN.. The GECK DLC is NOT not NOT in the game.. As you use it. It is a referance and no more. No player character in the released for purchase game has EVER met this individual Raider Boss. GECK down load is a tool & not a true sorce.

In GECK I can create giant 100 times the player's hight with bluish skin to stomp Megaton with a army of Titan Smufs... Think about it. GECK down load files are tools..

Stop tanting me with this bull shit.

If you can not meet them in game they are a reference or at best a note. WE DO NOT GIVE EVERY REFEFERNCE or NOTE their own page...

I am not the bad guy here I am just play'n by the rules. Not every page is worthy. I had to learn that the hard way. Do the same or take a free pass & assume you can do no wrong.

The Boss dose not actually appear in the game Fallout 3 gamwe as an encounter that the player character can face. It is a referance and or note & I say yet again because you force my tounge to speak..

• It has been referenced. There is no need to add a new page to add fluff to a note."

## Bethesda ruins raiderEdit

Make it so, 69. I trust your insight and judgment. Jspoel 16:34, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

## Derived stats v2.0Edit

Got a few questions as I finalize the derived stats template:

1. Should we bother with skill rate for FO3 & FNV? NPCs don't level like the player does so the skill rate really doesn't effect them does it?
2. I can't find any effects on FO1/2/T derived skills from apparel, other than AC. Are you familiar with those games at all?
3. I'm assuming we're going to make the template usable for FO1/2/T, right? The Gunny   16:50, July 14, 2013 (UTC)

## Raiders Edit

How are they bosses? It even says they're mini-bosses. Not bosses. Some Assembly Required! 19:52, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

That further reinforced my point. One is definitely not a boss, and one is specifically stated as a mini-boss. I will be reverting my changes, or else we'll be classifying super mutant behemoths and deathclaw mothers as bosses. Some Assembly Required! 19:55, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
No, that's not how it works. Just because they're called a leader doesn't mean they're inherently classified as a boss enemy. Some Assembly Required! 19:59, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
Then why didn't you say so in the first place? May I see that information, please? Because right now, I'm going off of the fact that only 'leader' and 'mini-boss' is being used, which are not the same things as actual bosses. Some Assembly Required! 20:01, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

## Keys Edit

I just checked with J. He confirmed that keys can't be dropped, and the keyring does not show more than 1 key. Where is proof for otherwise? Because I have New Vegas pulled up now, and I'm confirming this as well. Some Assembly Required! 19:57, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

New Vegas follows the same mechanics as Fallout 3. I'm looking at my keyring, and it only shows one of each key that I have, even if I've picked up multiple copies. When I'm done eating, I'll see about providing a screenshot. Some Assembly Required! 20:00, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
That kind of stuff doesn't bother me. As long as the refs are provided and work continues, I'm happy with the results. Hmm. Yep, found them in the G.E.C.K. I guess we'll have to update them off of that information. Anyways, as for the trouble, I hope my questioning isn't too insulting towards you. I just don't play favourites around here is all, and I call question to any edits from anyone that I personally find weird. Some Assembly Required! 20:11, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
I checked these 2 boss raiders, but they don't respawn according to the GECK (no checkmark and I also checked in the game waiting 100 hours). So their keys are only to be obtained once. Jspoel 20:16, July 15, 2013 (UTC)
I have the Requiem for the Capital Wasteland mod. I'll see about doing some research there. But, like I said, Fallout: New Vegas re-uses the same resources and mechanics from 3. There shouldn't be a difference regarding how keys are inventoried. Some Assembly Required! 20:46, July 15, 2013 (UTC)

## Survivor Edit

Hi there. What I was referring to is that he isn't one of the original vault dwellers (i.e. the ones that entered the vault when the bombs fell), but rather a descendant of the original vault dwellers. That being said, he was still there while the experiment was ongoing which would only make sense considering his name... --Skire (talk) 16:42, July 22, 2013 (UTC)

## Vault 101 officersEdit

Why are you removing the quest notes from the Vault 101 officers? It's helpful to know when and where they appear. Jspoel 20:50, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

I like it how it was. They're involved. You can't escape them on your way out. Jspoel 21:02, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
These notes have been there since October of 2008. For almost 5 years they stood the test of time and although you might able to pass the characters by, they have some relation. That's how I remember it and I think people remember it. It's useful information. You don't remove the relation anymore> That's how I see it. Jspoel 21:12, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

So... you should add "frenzied" and the capitalization thing. It was a good idea, and you should take credit for it by adding it, rather than me doing it right now and getting credit. AbsentCollaborator (talk) 08:56, July 26, 2013 (UTC)

## Slinger Anon Edit

I understand your concerns, and I appreciate you making those concerns known to me. But unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. He wanted to be a martyr. He left the chat in... less than optimal conditions, and had his account deactivated globally by Wikia. Now he acts as an anon, only acting on this wiki to lash out at others. He has broken multiple policies, and has a ban history. So I'm afraid I cannot take his actions in good-faith anymore, which has been further exasperated by his response to me. I'm afraid the ban will stay, although he does have his talk-page rights still if he remains civil from this point onwards. Some Assembly Required! 05:56, July 31, 2013 (UTC)

## Outcast Outpost Edit

I presumed the script was that the Outcasts are in an ongoing battle with the mutants. Or is it just a bug, because it happens to me. I wouldn't know how to get hold of the script, but why is it not likely? --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 17:06, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

I've experienced the same, GECKanon, what with the muties being there every time I go to visit. Huge pain in the neck, all those overlords and masters. Richie9999 (talk) 17:17, August 6, 2013 (UTC)
Could be the three day respawn, makes sense to me. Richie9999 (talk) 17:44, August 6, 2013 (UTC)

## Raider Edit

Thanks for correcting those two mistakes, it was an oversight on my part as I was trying to go quickly. --TwoBearsHigh-Fiving 00:49, August 7, 2013 (UTC)

Thanks! There are a lot of links so I'd appreciate the help.

## Catherine Edit

Personally, I feel that as being the most viable of options to take. Mostly because I'm going off of the legs that are seen, and that never change colour. I can understand where the other side is coming from, but I've never been able to agree with them, since the G.E.C.K. says she's black, in-game images of her are a black, a picture frame shows she's black and with identical looks as her in-game NPC, etc. But I'm not against it being noted that her canonical race hasn't been confirmed yet. Maybe a note? I'm just not sure "technical" should be used here. It's not sitting right with me as being the right word. Some Assembly Required! 03:20, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

Agreed. Some Assembly Required! 03:46, August 8, 2013 (UTC)

## Jotun and YmirEdit

These names are special and interesting enough in itself. There doesn't have to be a direct link to Fallout. People want to know these kind of things. Jspoel 15:06, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

A good percentage of the million people we get every day would be interested to know the background of these names. I remember I was wondering at the time when I played Fallout 3 what these names meant. Had I known of this wiki at the time, I could have easily found out. It's a service we can provide here in my opinion. Jspoel 15:14, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
I think we need to find a balance between official/professional and judging on individual cases what is appropriate on a page and bending the guidelines somewhat. We can't become too strict. It's similar to what you want on the forum thread you created about quest related characters. Too many rules and needing to follow them to the letter will push away editors and result in removing content that is interesting to readers. Jspoel 15:31, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
Both names are explained on wikipedia. Jspoel 16:20, August 9, 2013 (UTC)
If I recall correctly, not all behind the scenes information needs developer confirmation if it is obvious, this, I feel, is one of those circumstances. Richie9999 (talk) 16:23, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

( The Fallout 2 name is a tricky one. Think also the combination of the 2 names and their connections tips the balance to the note added to the behind the scenes section on the Fallout 3 pages. Personally I would also be ok for the note on the Fallout 2 Ymir as reader's interest. Maybe we need a small adjustment/addition in the mythology behind the scene guideline. Jspoel 16:44, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

I think FO2's Ymir should be thought of as distinct from the FO3 one in regards to name origins. From what I understand, the Unwashed Villagers' names are basically their usernames from the Unwashed Village community site. I could be wrong. But I feel that in that distinction, a reference to the Norse Ymir is unnecessary and somewhat misleading as the character himself has nothing to do with the mythological one. In whatever small way, even if it is just by having a son named Jotun, Ymir in FO3 is much more of a reference than FO2's Ymir would be. Richie9999 (talk) 18:41, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

## Talon mix race bug Edit

I see it now. However that just makes it all the more note worthy as evidence of a bug.

• I will rename that image as a bug. What did you call it, "White Face bug".

I just reloaded & played that bit again now I have an image of a white guy with a white body so it should be all good.

I hope you can except this fair compromise.

SaintPainJust here to help." 19:49, August 9, 2013 (UTC)

No need to delete the new image then. The new image is better anyway.

SaintPainJust here to help."

## Isolde Edit

Thanks for the critique! It's so hard to get different perspectives and opinions before the judges release theirs. Would you happen to have any ideas that I could consider improving my content with? I'm always up for it if I've written poorly. Some Assembly Required! 01:47, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

Nah, it's not like I'm going to take criticism personally. How else would I improve! Hmm. I guess her personal article is a bit sketchy and makes her seem strictly like a damsel in distress. I think the quest articles portrayed her a lot more appropriately. I'll see what I can do to her article-page. Some Assembly Required! 01:55, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

## MirelurkEdit

I can't find the source that says that Mirelurk Kings actually ARE snapping turtles. The only thing I could find on our "Fallout 3 loading screen hints" page was about their "devastating sonic attack".JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 22:28, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

Personally I think they should be in Arthropods, with Mirelurk. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 22:32, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
Issue being, we don't actually know what they are (eerr... used to be) so we have do to some guesswork. The name strongly implies they are members of the same species as regular mirelurks, even if they look drastically different. They do bare a closer resplendence to New Vegas's Lakelurk (which ARE snapping turtles) but it makes more sense that they'd be closer related to the Mirelurks of he Capital. It seems (to me) that it's a small jump to presume that Mirelurk and Mirelurk king/queen are of the same species (and thus are crabs) than it is to assume they're turtles, based on an entirely different game. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 22:42, August 10, 2013 (UTC)
I think it's your call on this one, do as you wish. JASPER//"Do you like hurting other people?" 22:51, August 10, 2013 (UTC)

## Janice Wilkins Edit

Hey. Just out of curiosity: which mods were you referring to? --Skire (talk) 01:16, August 13, 2013 (UTC)

## Infobox stats Edit

Hi there and thanks! I know I made a few, perhaps silly, mistakes on the way but I made it.

Back to business. I know what you're getting at, but take Uncle Roe for example, his agility has always been 5, but what you've done is made base agility and mod agility 4, with the "agmod" being =+1 this makes the info box display 5 on mod agility. Which isn't right, is it? I was under the impression that the "agmod=" et cetera automatically adds or lowers the stat (that's what shows up).

Also, I know the plan was/is to make code for tag skills, should or can we do anything towards that now? Personally I think I'll leave that for the moment... --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 21:08, August 25, 2013 (UTC)

I see, I 've got to be wary of already modified stats. Okay I think I've got it, thanks and you're welcome, finding things to keep me on my toes is what I'm doing, so if I can be more help than removing bullet points I'll take it! --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 21:38, August 25, 2013 (UTC)
I've been playing around with what I can make of the tag and derived codes but I just can't figure out how to implement/arrange them, could you do one as an example? Salt-Upon-Wounds has a bit of variety. Once I've got the knack I'll try and power through at some point. Thanks. --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 19:38, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
I've only gone and worked it out, probably took me longer than it should have, but I think tomorrow I'll try and at least finish the Fallout 3 characters. You have my thanks and I think we can get this done by the end of the week if I can keep up, just a couple of questions: I trust there's meant to be no crit chance mod, right. Apparel that affects, for example fire resist, but there's no derived stat in the infobox, do we add them (i.e. 0 then mod)? --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 22:56, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
NPC tags that max at 100 (as a result of leveling), apparel adds more, is there a way to get around it? --Tribal Wisdom (talk) 22:56, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Damn right, I tried experimenting with different arrangements but it will always go to 105, which is impossible in-game.

## Weight Edit

That's the way I wrote the template. ST mods weight. I haven't game checked that though. I'll have to add that to the list of stuff I need to check. The Gunny   00:12, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

## Italicisation Edit

Hi there. Something I've also found perplexing was the lack of italicisation for skill books. I'm ready to take my bot and italicise them systematically. Shall we go ahead? --Skire (talk) 22:33, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

## Fixes Edit

Lockplick is fixed, error in conditional parameter check. HP, going by the hit points page, is $\text{Initial level}=90+(\text{Endurance}\times20)+(\text{Level}\times10)$. Each point of endurance should give 20 hit points. Is this different for NPCs?

poison resist and rad resist must be lower case. The parameter names must match those on the template usage page exactly, or the template ignores then. Fixed of Ken Ewers page for an example.

I can add crit chance, and I'll add a round function to the skill calcs. I forgot that the luck modifier will result in half points. Let me know If you see anything else. The Gunny   19:47, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

Edit: crit chance was already in there:P. The Gunny   19:49, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Crit chance mod added, parameter: ccmod. Endurance mod now x5 instead of x20. Will add ceil function to math tonight. The Gunny   20:05, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah. I can. I'm surprised that any did. I didn't expect that one at all. I'll have it return 100 for anything over 100. The Gunny   23:41, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Numbers now round up to the next whole integer. Got a working fix to cap skill levels at 100. Gonna take me a day or so to add them to all the skills. The Gunny   01:29, August 29, 2013 (UTC)

## GNR Undone EditEdit

Wait, wait, wait...The GNR news broadcasts have in-game grammar? Where's that at? Not that I'm insulted, but I thought it was just scripted and read out loud by the voice actor. --Christengo (talk) 19:55, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

## Flag iconsEdit

Just noticed this, it seems that some flags have awkwardly different dimensions than others. If possible, could you do a quick re-upload of them having the same relative dimensions? Also, thanks for helping out - feel free to add your name to the project page. --Skire (talk) 19:07, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

Sure, that'd be awesome! You might want to let him know first though. --Skire (talk) 20:16, August 30, 2013 (UTC)

## Project tables, templates and stuff Edit

Thanks for getting that table, 69. I really should make a simple template for folks to easily make project tables from. As for the templates, I've top-aligned the text to look better, and reduced the line height as much as I can. We've got a few other options we can look at (using icons instead of words for tag skills and derived stats names, and having the sections collapsed on page load), but I'm not sure we want to do either of those. Ideas? The Gunny   00:27, August 31, 2013 (UTC)

## Revert Edit

Hey, just a heads up, it would be advised if you left a summary on why you reverted an edit just so that the previous editor can understand what he did wrong. Thanks! THE NUCLEAR KING Talk 03:38, September 2, 2013 (UTC)

That edit to the Hargrave page was ok. It's fine to add some description in an overview page. Jspoel 14:19, September 2, 2013 (UTC)

## Tanya Christoff Edit

That'll work. Someone thought it was notable. Inventory item is fine. Alatari (talk) 10:44, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

## CarolEdit

I changed the derived stat template to normal input on Carol. Those line breaks look terrible because of the long Hit Points line, with leveling and Broken Steel info. If you see similar pages (with add-on info etc.), just use the old-fashioned input otherwise it looks bad. Jspoel 18:28, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

## RoDEdit

It isn't true. I left a comment on its talkpage. Tried it myself an hour ago. Fast-traveling from it, waiting, everything is possible. Jspoel 13:40, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

O right, now I see it. Let me check that again. Jspoel 13:42, September 4, 2013 (UTC)
Ok, it's true you can't wait. It's notable I think; personally I can't remember other non-hostile locations where you can't wait. Jspoel 13:48, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

## Orion Moreno statEdit

Better ask Gunny about that +100 stat. He's the one who created the template and will know better than I do. Jspoel 20:08, September 6, 2013 (UTC)

Ok, I got it now. I used prid on Orion Moreno, then getav meleeweapons and that turned out to be 102.00, like in the infobox with clothing. So it can be more than 100. Jspoel 21:08, September 6, 2013 (UTC)
Guess not. A character has to have a base skill of 100 without leveling. Only then it goes above it seems. Tested it on Cassandra Moore who stopped at 100. Why are you changing between anonymous and normal user account? And now you seem to have another anonymous IP adress you use. This is confusing for other users. Better stick to your normal user account I think. Jspoel 22:18, September 6, 2013 (UTC)
