There's so much conflicting advice out there, its astounding. Yet, at the same time, each and every source says its the "true" source of information. I've read plenty of "how to date" articles (though I have yet to be asked out on one), and each and every one has a difference of opinion. "Have your own opinion; men like that", "No, cater to his opinions and don't stick to your own", "Treat him like your best friend", "No, treat him like a stranger", "Show interest in him", "Don't show much interest; that'll make him chase you", "If he contacts you and wants to go out, go with him because he's interested in you", "If he calls, don't be available much of the time, he likes a game" and on and on. 99% of these articles were written by men, and each and every one claims to be "The Last Guide You'll Ever Need" and they also shoot down opposing viewpoints (mainly the showing interest part). I can only assume that each article is written from each author's preference; its the only way I can make it make any sense whatsoever from the wildly different views on how a woman should act around a guy. As for me, I always took the "treat everyone like a best friend" angle (well before I read about it). It was what felt the most natural.

"Visceral" can mean two different things: the first meaning pertains to all the internal organs (stomach, gallbladder, etc.), and the second meaning is being emotional instead of intellectual. How it got to be such a different meaning for the same word is beyond me.

Do you have any hobbies that others might think odd?
- One person plays video games, and video games only! In this age where more and more people play video games, you won't be so maligned as in ages past.
- No. Straight and narrow, huh?
- Yes. How about decorating graveyards? I've found it very enjoyable. Other people you meet in town may have all sorts of excuses on why they can't take the flowers (because they definitely have the tone of voice that says its an excuse) from your yard that you like to give out, but the dead don't tend to complain much. Real flowers also beat out fake ones (which seems to be the kind favored in graveyard vases) any day. I make sure i go to ones that are open to the public and not part of a church, where I could get in trouble. After all, I know absolutely no one in those grounds. It is also kind of a history lesson; reading the stones and seeing when someone lived or died.
Have you picked up any new hobbies since this outbreak?
- You don't have any hobbies, as you told me already. Hey! I'm just being complete!
- Nope. I've picked up more since my console broke, but that's a whole different ballpark.
