Alright people, Bethesda had a showcase last night about new games, but we all know what the important thing was: Fallout 4.
Im gonna give you some stuff I saw and my thoughts.
-Voiced protagonist and telltale games-style conversations: Not a fan of these, the voice protagonists limit the number of lines available to you and the 4 choice telltale games style conversations limit your understanding of your dialogue choices. -People will actually say your name: Bethesda has recorded "thousands" of popular names for use in dialogue, pretty neat, in my opinion. -New PipBoy: Very cool, its got games, and it's more than just a menu now, you pop in datatapes when you load em up, which I thought was a neat touch. -Layered armor system: A new armor systm with individual peices for chest, each arm, each leg, and head; kinda like Morrowind. -CRAFTING, OH THE GLORIOUS CRAFTING: Literally hundreds upon hundreds of crafting options for weapons and armor. For example. a laser pistol can become a laser rifle, a laser sniper rifle, or an automatic laser spewing beast with the correct modifications. Modifications can be crafted with ingredients from the items, a toy car can provide screws, an alarm clock can provide glass, etc. -Customizable settlements: There are multiple settlements you can build up from ruins. You take them from ruins and customize them any way you want. Build trade stands and traders will come and set up shop, have enough food, water, and shelter and people will move in. You can even send caravans between your settlements. -CUSTOMIZATION PT. 2: POWER ARMOR: You can mix n match pieces on your personal set of power armor, which is really neat. I also spotted a suit equipped with a jet pack, which is VERY NEAT. Because, y'know, JETPACKS.
That's all I've got for now, but more to come as more information arises...
