Let's say that evolution does exist - you can think whatever you want, but to me it doesn't exist but this is just for conversation's sake - and man evolved through the ages from pond scum. So many creatures, then, are our ancient family members, and there are quite a few species in there that once they find a mate, they stick with that mate for life. When one dies, the other often dies soon afterward. What, then, happened along the way? What the hell happened? How did man end up being so noncommittal and relationship-phobe, when there are birds and other creatures that will have lifelong relationships without the thought of cheating or straying? Is it society? Is it because having "one night stands" (which i don't approve of) and flings (which I also don't like and don't do) are much more accepted nowadays than they were yesteryear? Have we poisoned ourselves so that the greater of mankind fears committed relationships? If so, what have we done? Those that thought that they were being "so revolutionary" back in the 60's in the time of the hippies did everyone a disservice nowadays because the "free love" started and I think there's no going back to how things used to be with how people conducted themselves. It scares me.

This Week's Trivia

"Particle board" is made from wood dust (literally) with lots of glue to bind it together. Its generally cheaper than plywood (which is thin sheets of wood glued together), but if you want something that will withstand the elements outside, get plywood. Particle board literally melts and crumbles after a certain amount of time in the rain. Of just being wet.

This Week's Fallout News

One month after the Fallout 76 inventory hack went around, Bethesda has reportedly begun restoring players' lost inventories. A clone of the player is created on a secure server, containing the player's previously owned items, which the player can trade with to get their items back. Players are additionally given 8,250 Atoms to use as some measure of compensation for the time without the items.

Gives new meaning to trading with yourself. Still weird. Why not just give back the items directly? Would seem a lot easier.

What happens to the stickiness of peanut butter when its cooked, you think?

  • I think we have a case of Lazy Voters. The click a button but don't want to comment on anything. I'm not psychic, you know!

What, generally, is your favorite cookie flavor?

  • Someone said "Afghan cookies" I have no idea what these are or if they're pulling my leg.
  • Peanut butter. They're really good with chocolate milk.
  • Oatmeal raisin. Am I a total outcast since I've never had this type of cookie?
  • And the all time winner: chocolate chip. What would we do without chocolate? The world wouldn't be the same.
