Traffic cones are scenery items in Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76.
Overview[]

A traffic cone is a conical marker used on roads or footpaths to manage traffic, such as redirecting vehicles or blocking off areas. Originally invented in the 1940s, cones became ubiquitous and by 2077 could be found all across the United States of America, in two variants: Solid red with a black base or bright orange on a gray base, with two reflective stripes glued near the top.
Behind the scenes[]
Both cone designs are American in origin, though separated by time: The solid red marker is similar to Charles Scanlon's original design from 1941, while the orange version with reflective tape is a modern version, introduced in 1971 with the Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
