For the tractor in Fallout 4, see Tractor (Fallout 4).

Tractors are agricultural vehicles utilized throughout Appalachia before the Great War.

Background[edit | edit source]

A tractor is an engineering vehicle specifically designed to deliver a high tractive effort (or torque) at slow speeds.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Used for several purposes such as agriculture, construction, and transport, these farm vehicles provided the power and traction to mechanize agricultural tasks, such as tilling farmland. The tractors found in the wasteland are weathered from the elements.

There are two tractor variants. The first is a shorter, wide orchard style row crop tractor painted red. It can be fitted with a variety of attachments, from tillers to tow-behind trailers. The second is an industrial classic row crop tractor, of which red and yellow variants can be found. The player character cannot operate them.

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The two tractor variants are aesthetically similar to the 1940-50s Farmall Cub Lo-Boy and Massey-Harris 35X industrial varieties of tractor.
