The toxic dried lakebed is a location in the Toxic Valley region of Appalachia.

Background[edit | edit source]

The lake was once a popular location for local fishermen and boaters but fell victim to pollution by both illegal toxic barrel dumping[1] and by industrial chemicals released after the Great War.

Layout[edit | edit source]

This lakebed is a stretch of dried-up land that separates Clarksburg and Wavy Willard's Water Park, irradiated from chemical dumping and the effects of the Great War. Its point of discovery is within Clarksburg, near an inaccessible Crab Shack and Big Steve's Sporting Goods. There is a pathway that leads up to the roof of the restaurant, where there is a small survivalist's camp with some loot.

There are a number of other buildings along the edge of the lake including boathouses, one of which is locked and has a red steamer trunk inside. There is also a diner named Lakeside Grill with various junk item inside. At the center of the lake is a spawn for a large creature such as a mirelurk queen or a Grafton monster.

Notable loot[edit | edit source]

  • Untitled - Note, found on a picnic table on a small wharf, slightly east of the diner.
  • Boat house key - In the diner, near a bubblegum bear in a cooking pot. It opens the locked boathouse.
  • Potential weapon mod - Inside the locked boathouse at the pier, on a metal shelf.

Appearances[edit | edit source]

The toxic dried lakebed appears only in Fallout 76.
